Chapter 89 A DIFFERENT KIND OF BUTTERFLIES

Chapter 89 A DIFFERENT KIND OF BUTTERFLIES

Kennedie

When I woke up, my body was aching in the most delicious way possible.

Last night… I don’t even know how I was even going to describe it but one thing I know was that I had never felt as happy as I did now, in my own little bubble in this very moment.

I opened my eyes and admired Desmond as he slept.

He looked so damn peaceful.

His long lashes fanned his face in a way that was so soft, he looked like a fallen angel if I had ever seen one. I don’t know if I had ever been this close to his face like this without kissing him.

He had such smooth skin and those little blemishes on his skin that somehow made him look a hundred times more attractive, more human… was that freckles on his face that I saw?

His nose bridge was s straight, and his lips were so full and succulent. Before I could stop myself, I brought up my hand and traced my hands on his face small featherlike touches as I traced his face lightly.

It felt almost sinful to wake him up.

Just when I got lost in the beauty that was Desmond Knight, I saw a small sliver of a smile on his face. I jerked and quickly fell back to my side of the bed closing my eyes.

My heart was pounding quickly against my chest. I was by no means a fucking virgin so why on earth did I feel like one?

Or was it the fact that I called him Daddy?

Fuck!

I could feel my entire body burning with heat from the inside out…  I did not regret it, not at all in fact I fear I may have enjoyed it all a bit too much. How was I going to face him now-?

“You know Princess, I can hear the gears turning in your brain” his voice sounded so deep, probably because he just woke up… holy freaking angels take me now.

I held my breath and I felt his fingers trace my Adams apple, tickling me. I moved away from him “stop it” I let my eyes flutter open to look into his eyes, deep grey orbs that threatened to drown me in them.

“Hey” I squeaked and he smirked at me “good morning my darling”

He made a move to kiss me but I turned away from him.

“Princess…”

“I have not yet brushed my teeth yet” I said and made a move to stand up but he stopped me. He rapped his hand around the back of my neck and brought my face down, planting his lips on mine and kissing me senseless.

“I literally don’t give a fuck baby” he murmured against my lips. I was breathless, my chest heaving up and down in rapid movements.

“Damn” I said suddenly.

“What is it?” he asked.

“You’re making me nervous” I said and he barked out a laugh “surely that must be a good thing?”

I rolled my eyes and lightly pushed him on the chest “excuse me I need to get cleaned up” I said.

“Ok then I will make breakfast” he said and I nodded “you are a literal angel” I said.

“Hot chocolate?” he asked and I nodded “yes please”

Before I stood up he held me again “give Daddy another kiss” he said and I literally turned bright red, completely paralyzed in place.

What in the name of…?

“Now little menace” he said, and from the look of his face he was not joking.

I shyly planted my lips on his after a long second, thinking it was just going to be a quick peck, but turns out that he had other plans. He held me in place and slipped his tongue into my mouth, exploring every nook and cranny of my mouth.

He tasted amazing and he just woke up… no single trace of morning breath in sight…. How was it fair that this man was just so perfect?

When we finally broke away, he smirked at me “good girl”

My face was extremely heated…. “I’m going to shower” I said and climbed out of the bed this time before he actually kept me in there forever. I heard his laughter trailing behind me.

I went to my bathroom and turned on the sink before splashing cold water on my face. When I looked into the mirror, I realized that I was still bright red.

Waking up next to Desmond gave me butterflies in my stomach, but a different kind of butterflies. The kind that felt like the fluttered all around but turned into molten lava. But it was in a good way.

I felt like a school girl with a crush. All of these things that I was feeling for Desmond, it was quickly getting much. I think that I was falling in love with him.

There I said it. I was in love with Desmond Knight and there was not a damn thing that I could do about it.

That kind of made me so sad because I was not even sure if he would ever feel the same way about me, the way I felt for him.

He was still stuck on fucking Andrea and all of that shit, will he ever be able to love me back?

“Babeeeee” I heard Desmond shout from the kitchen.

“Coming” I said.

I quickly stripped off my clothes and hopped into the shower, letting the hot water fall unto my body. Steam fogged the glass, making outside through the glass seem like a blur. I rested my forehead briefly against the cool tile, breathing, letting myself be still.

Then the curtain shifted.

Before I could turn, arms wrapped around me from behind, firm and familiar, skin hot against mine. I gasped softly, more from surprise than fear.

“I got impatient,” Desmond said close to my ear, his voice low, roughened by restraint.

My breath caught as his lips brushed my neck, just beneath my ear, where the water couldn’t drown the shiver that ran through me. “You scared me,” I murmured, though my body was already betraying me, leaning back into him.

“Liar,” he said quietly, smiling against my skin.

His hands settled at my waist, so fucking possessive, it was like he needed to feel me there. The water kept pouring over us, turning his touch into something electric, every nerve ending suddenly awake.

“I need you,” he said, softly.

I turned in his arms, the shower spraying over his shoulders as I looked up at him. His eyes were dark, searching, stripped of the teasing confidence he wore so easily. There was something vulnerable there, something that made my chest ache.

“Desmond,” I whispered, his name heavy with everything I didn’t know how to say.

He kissed me then, slow and deliberate, like he was memorizing me. My hands slid up his chest, holding on, in his moment, it was only us that existed.

The glass fogged completely, the sound of the water swallowing everything else as he pulled me closer, foreheads touching, breaths tangled, the moment stretching and deepening until nothing else mattered but us, pressed together, hearts racing in the steam.

Yeah, I was a goner.

Utterly and foolishly in love with this man.
