Chapter 37 You’re Gonna Be in Big Trouble
One of the men smiled, “Isn’t this the girl who was recommended to New York University’s chemistry department?”
The other said, “I heard she’s from somewhere in Los Angeles. It must be some backwoods place with bad traffic.”
One of the women sneered, “Oh, a poor, pitiful girl from a low–income family.”
The other said, “It looks like Caroline gets a new plaything.”
They took turns speaking, their tones and scornful looks full of spite and insolence.
The person who brought Allison here was Caroline Turner. She took the cue stick from a man, stood by the billiard table, and said while studying the positions of the balls, “She dared to ignore me. I’ve gotta set some rules for her.”
Allison, of course, saw the malice of these people.
So, the bullying I suffered before was their doing.
One of the men shouted, “Hey, you! Apologize to Caroline right
now!”
The other man echoed, “On your knees!”

Offend her, and you’ll get kicked out of New York University!
“And the person in charge of the Dominion Group is Caroline’s aunt’s boyfriend. Allison, are you trembling with fear now?”
The other woman sneered, “So what if you’ve got good grades? You’ll still end up working for the rich!”
Allison was surprised.
Dominion Group? The person in charge is Richard.
I never heard that Richard had a woman in my previous life.
Is it because I didn’t come to New York and didn’t know enough?
As she was distracted, she didn’t notice the billiard ball flying towards her, hitting her straight in the stomach.
The pain made Allison groan and take two steps back.
She raised her pale face and gave Caroline, who’d hit the ball, a cold look.
Caroline had a mocking, arrogant, and malicious expression.
A woman shouted, “Wow, Caroline’s awesome! She hit Allison right away!”
The other smiled, “I wanna play, too!”
Zaroline said, “How about a contest? Whoever hits Alnson the 46

Allison put down the hand that had been covering her stomach, stood up straight, and said, “That’s so boring. How about I compete with you? One game to decide the winner!”
“With me? Can a commoner like you even play it?” Caroline acted like she’d heard a hilarious joke.
“Is billiards some high–end entertainment?” Allison retorted.
The provoked Caroline laughed in anger, “If you lose, get on your knees and lick my shoes.”
“What if you lose?” Allison asked.
“I won’t lose.” Caroline was very confident.
Allison didn’t argue with Caroline and stood aside to watch her play.
Caroline was indeed good at billiards, sinking five balls in a row.
Her sidekicks kept cheering and rooting for her.
When she tried to sink the sixth ball, she missed due to a
mistake.
Then, it was Allison’s turn.
She walked around the table with the cue stick, looking for the right angle.
One of the men snorted, “What a pretentious person!” 3/4

Allison found the aiming line, leaned over, lined up the cue tip with the ball, did a practice swing, and then struck the ball instantly.
The ball flew off the table quickly and hit Caroline right on the head.
After a loud thud, Caroline let out a scream.
Her sidekicks stood there stunned for two seconds before rushing over to check on her in panic.
Caroline was lying on the ground, blood on her forehead. It looked scary.
“You… you’re gonna be in big trouble!” One of the sidekicks said angrily to Allison.
Allison, however, acted like nothing had happened. She threw the cue stick on the table and said, “I won.” Then, she turned around and left the billiard parlor.
She had a date to keep and couldn’t keep Ryan waiting.
Caroline, who had come to her senses from the dizziness, touched the liquid on her face. When she saw the blood on her hand, she shook with rage and screamed, “I’ll make her pay!” 4/4
