Chapter 76
The days passed, but no effective attempt was made by Ayzel to meet Farheen. After the previous episode of Ayzel's audacity, Zain forbade her to leave the mansion, until he would leave her, his words.
On the other side, Farheen's sadness and anger were increasing. She was doubting Ayzel's love for her. Even on the phone calls they could talk so much. Every time Farheen asked: "Mama when will you come to me?" and in reply Ayzel helplessly made false promises of coming soon. So, now Farheen even stopped talking to her mother on the phone.
But that soon was not appearing in the sight. Azyel was desperately waiting for the day of Zain's second marriage. Only that day would guarantee her freedom from Skinders.
Today Saliha was taking Farheen to the park and Ayzel was aware of it. She just wanted to go to the park at any cost to see her precious daughter. So, she targeted Shazeal for that.
Shazeal was leaving for the shopping. Ayzel requested her. She lied to her that she needed something from the mall. She knew that the park came on the way to the mall. Shazeal found it a bit odd. But somehow she was curious and needed time alone with Ayzel as well to awaken the lost love in Ayzel's heart. So, both ladies joined each other for their benefit.
Shazeal somehow tackled the guards. Ayzel was already prepared to face Zain's wrath. She was thinking fearlessly and selfishly this time. It was a matter of her daughter.
Shazeal was done with the shopping but to her surprise, Ayzel didn't touch or even look at a thing. Her body language was expressing high levels of anxiety. She was asking Shazeal, again and again, to complete the shopping ASAP indirectly. Totally weird behavior of hers. Shazeal decided to play along with her.
When they were on the returning road, Ayzel made the driver stop the car abruptly. Shazeal and the driver almost stopped breathing. Ayzel just saw Farheen and Saliha inside the park from the iron boundary surrounding the park.
"Shazeal, can you wait for me in the car? I will be back in a few minutes. My daughter is waiting for me in the park." The way Ayzel begged, Shazeal allowed her by giving a hesitant nod.
Even Ayzel assured her she was not going to escape or run away. These words drowned Shazeal in more guilt.
Ayzel ran to the park like an excited kid. "FAIRY!" she called her daughter from a little distance. Her face was beaming with crimson of happiness.
Farheen and Saliha turned to face the source of the sound. An evident smile appeared on Farheen's face which was soon replaced by a grumpy and angry expression. She turned her face away from Ayzel and her cheeks became swelled.
Ayzel rushed to her daughter embraced her in a tight hug and kissed her daughter hysterically. But her daughter remained unaffected and stepped away. Ayzel sighed and took a long breath.
She crouched down to Farheen's level. She put her hands on Farheen's shoulders and faced her.
"Fairy, look mama is here to meet you. Won't you smile for me? That's how you welcome mama?" Ayzel was now cupping her face. Her eyes were filled with tears.
"Fairy don't give these grumpy looks to Mama. See, she is here for you." Even Saliha interjected politely.
Finally, Farheen looked up at her mother's face.
"When will you come to me forever?" she had only one question.
"Just in a few days, Mama promises you my baby. Just in a few days." Ayzel was in pain inside.
"You have been telling this lie to me. I won't believe you now. Why can't you come with me now?" Farheen protested in her little voice.
Somehow Ayzel and Saliha set her mode. Ayzel left after twenty minutes despite the protest of her heart. She was aware that Shazeal was waiting for her outside.
On the way back, Ayzel initiated a talk with Shazeal.
"Shazeal if you don't mind, can I ask a personal question? It's okay if you don't feel right to answer me." Ayzel was quite nervous to ask that question.
Shazeal found it a great chance. Might she do something with Ayzel's question? She allowed Ayzel to ask the question.
"Um, I know is not my right to interfere between you and Sir Zain but have you confirmed that has he divorced his first wife or not? I mean you should make sure of it, after all, you are going to start a new life with him. Demons of the past should not come in the happiness of your life." Ayzel just asked, making Shazeal dilated her eyes.
Now there was not even the slightest chance of Zain and Ayzel's reunion. She had burned all ships. Shazeal did not answer her and the journey was completed in silence.
All the matter was reported to Zain. Shazeal had lost all hope. She asked Zain to end this drama respectfully. But Zain announced their engagement after a week shocking Burhan and Shazeal.
Shazeal denied this absurd idea but Zain assured her, that everything would end before the ring ceremony. He was taking a blind chance. He was gambling on the lost love of Ayzain.
Two nights before the ceremony, Farheen tried very hard to call Ayzel but for some reason, she could not reach her and she felt more dejected. She was having negative thoughts about her mother.
Finally, the day of the ceremony came. Only housemates were involved along with Shazeal's parents. Instead of the bride, Ayzel was smiling and beaming.
Shazeal was adorned in a pastel color heavily embellished dress but her face was void of any smile. She was nervous inside. She regretted why she agreed to this madness in the first place.
Intentionally Zain ordered Ayzel to bring the rings from the room. Elders were not satisfied by his order. But Ayzel went to the room to bring the rings.
When she held the tray of rings, her heart vibrated with unknown emotions. The flashback of her engagement day appeared in her mind. Suddenly she felt a force restricting her heart and breath. She shook her head and got rid of wild thoughts.
A maid came rushing to the room. She was holding the phone.
"Ayzel, it's your friend's phone. I think something is not fine. She is sounding quite worried." The maid forwarded the phone to the Ayzel and left.
"Hello, Saliha....What happ...?" before Ayzel could complete, Saliha interjected.
"Ayzel can you to the E.M.H hospital? Farheen hurt her head badly. She is fine now. But please come to see her." Saliha was crying a bit.
The tray and phone both fell from Ayzel's hands. She ran outside and bumped into Osama. Words were not coming out of her mouth. Her breathing was disoriented.
"Ayzel Bhabhi? Bhabi say something, for Allah's sake!" Osama shook her by shoulders.
"My...daughter...hos..pital.." somehow in her broken word, she told Osama. He took her to the hospital immediately.
Osama and she went to the ward where Farheen was admitted. She was lying on the bed. Her head was wrapped in a thick bandage. She had a very bad wound.
"Farheen! Mama ki jaan!" Ayzel cried and rushed to Farheen. She tried to touch her face but Farheen's outburst crushed her motherly feelings.
"Don't touch me. You are not my mama. I hate you. I don't wanna see you. Go away. You are not my mama." Farheen said it.
"Fairy please don't say this" Ayzel sobbed.
Fairy, she is mama. Do not say such words to Mama." Saliha creased her face, helplessly.
But in the end, Ayzel had to leave brokenly. A loser who was rejected by her daughter.
Osama saw the all scene. Tears came out of his eyes as well. Now, he was taking Ayzel back to the skinder's mansion.
She kept on crying in the backseat. Osama was looking at her from time to time while driving. She was trying to keep her crying minimum. But suddenly something obsessed her.
"STOP the Car!" Ayzel yelled. Her sudden order shocked Osama. He could not decide whether to stop the car or not.
"I SAID STOP THE CAR RIGHT NOW! YOU DEAF. I WILL JUMP OUT OF THE CAR IF YOU won't STOP IT IN A NEXT SECOND." Ayzel yelled again like a wounded tigress. A tigress wounded by the pain of her child.
Osama immediately applied breaks and the car was stopped with a loud scratching sound. Ayzel got out of the car and banged the door with a loud bang making Osama flinch. Her demeanor was shocking to him.
Ayzel sat on the footpath and started to cry and wail more loudly. She is complaining to the lord for her pain. Her loud, hysterical, and big sobs were stabbing Osama's heart. He was also responsible for her condition in some ways.
"WHY ALLAH? WHY ME?" she is screaming looking at the sky. A helpless and tormented mother complaining to her lord. Even she slapped her hands on the floor of the road harshly. She wanted to numb her emotional pain with physical pain.
After some fifteen to twenty minutes, Ayzel sat back in the car. Her eyes were now empty and hollow. She was feeling hollow inside. Osama started the car silently.
He was taking her back to Skinder's mansion where the dramatic engagement became more dramatic after the absence of Ayzel. Everyone was wondering where she left after throwing the engagement rings into the room. Did she escape the hurtful scene instead of facing it and claiming her rights to her husband?
Aliya asked Zain to start the function but he was resisting it. He was waiting. But waiting for what?
The guards only informed Zain that she had left with Osama. But why and where Osama had taken her? These questions were killing Zain. Osama was not replying to him either.
"Aliya Khanum why we are delaying the function because of a maid? What is happening here?" Shazeal's mother was displeased with the matter. But it was her husband who was keeping at her bay.
Elders were worried. Youngsters, including Shazeal and Burhan, were confused.
But it was only Zain, who was having the feeling inside his heart.
A calm before a storm!
