Chapter 85 Time for Bed
Alessia’s POV
As we walk through the common room. The coven members are moving around , some seem to be playing some kind of magic game while others are watching a movie in the high definition TVs installed on the wall.
I noticed that Luca and Angelica are following close behind us close enough that their shoulders brush Angelica leans towards him her hand curling into his sleeve. I smile Luca has certainly charmed the socks of Angelica.
Once we get to the eastern wing corridor I admire the stone walls and hanging intricately woven blankets. The warm lantern lights bends towards me as usual and I stare for a moment mesmerised. How do I weild power without even knowing it? It's fascinating and I can't wait till tmrw when I learn more.
Mara brings out two keys from her pockets and informs us motioning to me and Alex then Luca and Angelica “You will be sharing adjacent chambers” she showed us the two doors . I try to keep a straight face but Angelica blushes crimson while the men nod.
“Have a good night Princess” she bows and leaves.
Angelica reaches for me squeezing my hand “Good Night Alessia”
“Good night Angelica” I reply softly watching her as she curls her hands into Lucas arm. The anger I had been holding on to in regards to her not warning me about this has started to fade away. Perhaps she had her reasons..Luca nods at Alex “Alex any news from home?” Alex raises a brow in surprise as he brings out his phone and pressed a button then pockets it once more “I kept the phone on silent but will check once we are settled.”
“That's okay then good night” Luca whispers and drags Angelica to their room
We step into our room and all the lanterns light up as the door closes behind us with a soft click I spy our suitcases lying face down on the floor.
I look round the room done in their usual earthy tones. A huge bed with soft bedding and a three seater by the wall near the open window. I take a deep breath as Alex pulls me into his arms “I am still here, if you want to talk”he whispers against my hair .I shut my eyes as the weight of the events of the day presses on my shoulders. Sighing, where do I even begin?Just hold me” I cling to Alex as he mumbles “Gladly Cara mia, That I will always do” My heart warms his words a balm for my aching heart.He pulls me to the sofa as we both sink into it. “Would you like me to run a hot bath for you first or should I go first?” Alex asks softly
“Yes please, I would love a bath” I whisper as he moves off the sofa as I lean back straightening my legs. A few minutes later he returns pulling me gently of the sofa “Come on Alessia ,go bathe”
I give him a grateful smile “Thank you Alex”
I let him drag my lazy ass to the bathroom door.In the bathroom I decide to run a very hot bath and soak for a while to ease all my aching muscles from the trip and to sooth my mind. I lay back closing my eyes as I do some deep breathing excersices letting out the tension bit ny bit .It feels so amazing the scent of the lavender bath bomb dissolving in my bath and tickling my nose .I stay in the water until it turns cold .Reluctantly I step out of the bath tub and grab a towel . Tying it deftly around my chest and a smaller one for my hair . Stepping out of the bathroom I find Alex still seated on the sofa returning a call with I am not sure who . His gaze meets mine as he stares at the droplets of water dripping slowly DOWN MY body and ending at the tip of my towel .
I shiver as my body starts to heat up in response, his eyes are fixed on mine as I quickly turn around and walk to my suitcase to pick out a pair of pyjamas .My heart is racing as if I just ran a marathon .Returning to the bathroom I tremble as I quickly take off my towel and yank on my pyjamas “Dios mio Alessia , calm down its not like he hasnt seen your intimate parts before” My stern warning to myself does nothing to calm me down as I take a deep breath and return to the room .
He is still seated but typing fast on his phone now. “Alex?” I whisper gently he looks up immediately dropping the phone on his side
“Yes cara mia?” His eyes are once more on me . I gulp hard “Are you coming to bed ? I ask shyly as I feel my face heating up . I am not usually so brazen but I am slowly getting used to sharing a bed with him . He smiles and my beart skips a few beats . What a handsome Man !
“Yes Alessia let me have a quick bath I will be joining you soon”. I nod my head and get into bed resting my head on the headboard as he steps into the bathroom . All of a sudden I feel so tired yawning I lay down on the pillow to wait for Alex’s return.
tomorrow my questions will continue .
I dont have up to half of the answers I need yet
But I know one thing is clear
Whatever La Casa will be to me
Whatever I am to it
My life has already irrevocably been split into Before La Casa and After La Casa
And there is no going back
As I turn around to face the other side of the bed I hear a loud knock !
Who could that be ?
