Chapter 70 Awakening
Alessia's POV
I gasp as I look around us “Alex!”
My voice cracks filled with fear “What the actual fuck!” He quickly moves up tightening his arms around me his chest holding me in place as the wind continues to spiral around us. Things start to levitate in the room I watch in wonder as the pillows lift up the intercom, my clothes. The air is thick charged with an invisible current that seems to be coming from my skin
Alex grunts “Alessia its you, look at me” he orders his voice still calm even in the midst of a mini hurricane.
I stare at him my eyes widening with fear and disbelief. “ Alex it's not possible, I can't be the one doing this how?”
He grunts as something hits him with a thud “It is you Alessia trust me” he pauses
“Forget the wind, forget everything just look at me.” I slowly drag my eyes to his holding on to his shoulders for dear life ignoring the havoc in the room his hair whips around his face his eyes blazes with worry and not an ounce of anger in sight.
“Alex what is this” I choke out
“It's you, your awakening.”He pulls me to him protecting my body as the winds picks up in intensity more things levitating in the room
A sharp crack echoes loudly in the room as the lights flicker. I flinch as My heart fills with fear and my stomach twists into knots
“Cara mia” his voice drops low as if he is trying to calm me down “It’s just me and you I will never hurt you, reign it in.. If not they -”
His words are cut off as
the wind picks up In intensity the window slams open glass breaking around us I scream
“Alex!!!!!”
My breath hitches in my chest am I really doing this? “Alex, I can't , I dont know -”I can barely breathe I am gasping trying to pull in some air
“Alessia you can” He murmurs as he cups the back of my head bringing my forehead to his. “Calm down for me Alessia, focus on my voice. You are not alone”
“Alex I am terrified , what if I hurt you? I dont want to hurt anyone I can't live with that guilt!” I stifle a gasp as tears roll down my eyes. My chest tightens and my fingers dig into his shoulders, the wind rising violently around us. then the door crashes open as I hear Lucas and Angelica but they can't penetrate the wind.
“Alessia your powers are awakening!” She whispers shakily laughing hysterically at the same time
Luca swears “Alessia reel it in before you bring the entire hotel down with us inside”
I shiver as the wind howls increase and Alex growls “Luca let me handle this you are making it worse!”
“But Alex -” Luca argues
“Let me Luca I got this”Alex cuts him off and faces me again this time his eyes full of fierce determination.
“Alessia look at me” I drag my eyes to him and try to connect with him again...
“Now breathe”
I suck in a deep breathe
“Exhale through your nose” he orders his hands tightening around my waist as everything continues to float around us.
“Alex - I can't -”
He doesn't allow me panic, he pressed his forehead to mine, his warmth fills .Me grounding me for a moment he whispers
“Alessia I believe in you even if you don't believe in yourself you have too much goodness in you to hurt anyone” Then he kissed me on the lips. Fiercely, passionately and everything stops.
My mind quiets
Still ness
Finally my chest starts to unclemch
As I feel us slowly drop like the air has released us from its grasp and all the items in the room start to fall on the ground gently. Alex lands first as he pulls me into his lap. My whole body is trembling he holds me tight his hand cradling the back of my head and the other wrapped around my torso as his breathing evens out his heartbeat hammering against my head.
“Well done Alessia” he whispers finally to me “I told you you could do it.”
I swallow hard my voice barely above a whisper
“So all of it is true? Why now” He sighs not answering immediately as his hand make circles around my back. When Suddenly Angelica coughs delicately interrupting the moment. I had forgotten about the two of them because being there and I am still half naked !
“May we come in?” Her voice is full of trepidation and something else I cannot name
Alex grunts “Not now let me take care of her first..Everything else is secondary.” I look into his eyes as warmth and something I am ,Not ready to face yet fills my chest…
Angelica raisess her voice “But I am the best person to assist her!” She raises her hands and places it on her hips in defiance her eyes flashing gold. “ I am also a witch I can-”
Alex cuts her off with a wave of his Hand, scoffing. “How dare you?” He growls with lent up annoyance. “Are you just remembering that you are a witch too?” he pauses for a few beats “A witch that didn't tell her anything or guide her?” I suck in a deep breath turning into Alex's chest as his words hit my solar plexus
Luca lets out an exasperated breath “Angelica he is right you have not earned the badge of friendship here you could have warned us”
I hear her sigh in resignation. “ Luca I -”
I can hear Luca dragging her out whispering “Don't lets give them some privacy, you can apologize later.” I whimper in Alex's arms shifting trying to get more comfortable as I think about what Alex said.
She should have prepared me
She knew what was coming
And she knows what is coming next
Can we trust Angelica once against I ask myself?
What is Angelicas reason for keeping quiet
What else is she keeping from us
Most importantly is she An Enemy or A friend?
