Chapter 105
Anna
I shot out of the couch, so did Tim.
"How did you do that?"
I demanded eyes wide.
Alice rolled her eyes at me.
"I told you, I'm a witch,"
She smiled. Ah almost looks amused by our reaction.
Tim and I glanced at each other before looking over at her.
"Oh, don't worry. I won't hurt you. I can't anyway,"
She said with a shrug.
I glanced sideways at Tim once more and he was staring at me too, his hands on his holster, ready to pull out his gun if necessary.
I could practically hear his heart beating again his chest and his thoughts.
He was the one that has always believed in stuff like this. If anyone should be stressed, it was me.
"Guys, relax. I'm not going to harm you, I swear." She said, looking between the two of us in full blown amusement.
Tim was not amused, neither was I but I was a little more forgiving. After all, nothing could top finding out that Werewolves existed.
"And how do we know that?" Tim asked, his face pale.
I guess there was a real difference between believing something existed and seeing it in action for yourself
"Well, because if I wanted to, I would have by now."
Tim glanced at me and I sighed, nodding in reassurance. It didn't seem like she was lying about her intentions.
We both sat back down. Tim was on high alert now. Which was a shame because he seemed to really like Alice before.
"Good. You need to learn to trust people even though not always," She said, pointedly at me.
Without waiting for a respinse, she opened the book before her and turned to a page titled Lycan, werewolves and shifters.
"This," she tapped on the huge book. "Is it,"
"Lycsns?" I frowned in question.
"Oh, yeah," she grinned.
Tim was staring too.
"First things first, Werewolves. Depending on what type of werewolf, they all have different weaknesses."
"There are different types of werewolves?" I asked.
"Of course."
She grinned and then proceeded to tell me everything she knew.
Apparently there were Alpha werewolves, beta werewolves and omega werewolves and hybrids.
The Alpha's were the leaders, the most formidable and stronger, faster and they were the equivalent of five strong human males. They posses the ability to heal themselves easily and sometimes they have special powers that give them leverage over most people. They are age pretty slowly and can live up to two hundred years or more before showing signs of aging.
Their weaknesses include pure iron and wolfsbane but.
Beta werewolves were also very strong and fast but not as the Aloha's but if they trained, a beta werewolf can kill an Alpha. However, they havevmore weaknesses. Wolfsbane was more fatal to them and iron pure or not weakened them and was painful, like they were burning.
Certain types of bullets could also kill them depending on what part of the body that's shot. A shot to the spine and chest a
Was fatal.
They healed fast too but their healing processes was much slower and often required assistance. They are equivalent to three strong humans. Their transformation on the full moon gives them invisibility. Most bets possessed great speed, sometimes greater than Alphas.
The omegas were the weakest and could easily be killed. They had a slower healing process unlike the Alpha's and betas and their wolf form was usually very weak..
As fof shifters. Shifters was the umbrella term for any creature that can transform from the human form into any animal. They were different kinds. The most dangerous ones were the ones that possessed the ability to take the shape of more than one animal. They were harder to kill and they hated werewolves.
"Any questions?" Alice asked after her explanation.
There was complete silence for a while from both Tim and I. We were both too stunned to speak.
Tim looked like he was thinking about every unexplainable case he's encountered
"Where the hell am I supposed to get this wolfsbane form and pure iron?"
"I don't know but you'll have to find out," Alice said as she took hr away once again.
"Although,I could help you find wolfsbane but it would cost you."
"Whatever you want," i said and fell back into deep thoughts.
Wolfsbane could do damage to these creatures, I would have to have an abundance of it.
"You let me join you in bringing them down with you," she said and I blinked.
That was not what I had been expecting as an answer?
"Why would you what to take them down. Aren't you closely related to them or something?"
Alice laughed. "No, I am not. At least I don't think I am. Besides my mother is just as heavily connected to these people as your mother. I want to find out what happened to her. Especially the juicy relationship between your mother and mine," she said. The usualll jovial look and emotion that was always in her eyes suddenly disappeared and was replaced by a certain hardness in her eyes I had never seen. It was gone as soon as it came.
Something was up with her but whatever it was, I had no idea about it.
I nodded
I could understand her sentiment.
"But I thought you knew what happened?"
"I know her killers and why they did it but they have something I want. Besides, there are things about my mother njd your mother I want to know about."
I nodded.
"Alright. I need as much wolfsbane and as much iron as you can find. Whatever amount you want, I'll get you,"
"Oh that won't be necessary," she smiled.
I sighed, my thoughts drifting back to everything that had happened in the past weeks.
This was not the plan yet I was glad I had found out this terrible truth.
"I wonder how my mother is connected to all this," I muttered.
"My best guess is she probably didn't mean to be she probably fell in love with a werewolf herself or she sold drugs to them. Whatever it is, I can't wait to find out"
On our way back home, I did the driving. The car ride was quiet. Both Tim and I in our thoughts.
Tim was staring down at the book Alice had given him. While I was busy thinking about my next move.
Duncan would be back soon. And I genuinely wasn't sure if I wanted to see him. I definitely cared about him but..
I still hated him but...I still thought about him all the time.
I had fallen for a beast who was probably responsible for my suffering.
