Chapter 49: Part 2 - Chapter 48

Alex’s POV (8 months later)

Eight months’ ago, we defeated Sebastian, Aubrey and Mark and those from Emerald Moon who followed him. At the same time, Raymond Gloster and Blood moon were destroyed, along with Mark’s daughter Brenda and her pack, Ruby Moon.

All the leaders except Gerard; asked Elder Matthews to take down the protection barriers. The word got around a 12-pack shifter community had destroyed and defeated three rogue Alpha’s and their packs at once. We decided, we were safe and didn’t need the protection anymore; with all here still willing to stand strong together. We don’t even have issues with solitary rouges.

Gerard had purchased the old Desert Moon territory with the white coven; he said; ‘Witches and Warlocks were more solitary anyway.’ They all moved there within two months of the deal being made. We did a swap; the territory for their 12-story house. Ramirez and Tim sold off the property of Forrest Clan and Emerald Moon to a werecat pride and wolf pack.

We converted the old white coven house into a 350 room ‘leaders retreat hotel,’ however; shifters from all over visit, not just leaders and we are booked out three months in advance.

We moved the shops into a six-story shopping mall we built, next to the multi-story car park. Jessica, Cathy, Debbie, Olivia, Bindi, Cherie, Eden and Grandma Yvette all decided to join together and create a baby and children’s clothing store. They all design and make cute clothes for kids. Yes; that is what Jessica told me.

Mum, Aunty Gil and Aunty Cyndy help out in the nursery; now they have more time on their hands. They say they get precious time with Laurie, Josie, Vette, Bella, Zack, Julie, Peter, Evelyn, Tony and Gemma. Who am I to take precious Nanny time from the three of them?

Esther did join our pack; it was better than the alternative. She would have been tried for crimes against a pup; the punishment would be death. Toby was pissed she was bought in; he has relinquished his thoughts slightly since Jessica and Olivia play mind games with her. They say it’s more fun to scare her into thinking they will harm her; than actually harming her.

Esther is always looks over her shoulder; for Olivia and Jessica. She is scared of her new Lunas; good. Omega Simone is harder on her; then any of the other Omegas. If she misses a spot on the dishes or floors, Simone makes her do the whole lot again.

Toby and myself are on our way to the leaders meeting, Leader Samantha called. There has been a problem with some prides in the north where she is from.

Samantha’s POV

*“Leave me alone” I yell at my older brother; “just because Mum and Dad left you in charge, doesn’t mean you are the boss of me and can hit me because I won’t do what you want.”* *When is Mum and Dad getting back anyway? I go to my room. My sister Beatrice hates it when I go to my room because Greg hits her instead.*

*“LET GO OF ME” I hear Bea yelling through the wall “I’M GOING TO KILL YOU” Greg yells back. Great; this is the third time this month he’s threatened to kill Beatrice. I go back into the living room; Greg has her by the neck and is trying to break it. “You are a fucking Moron,” picking up the first thing I can find. It’s a stiletto and ram the heel into his hand. “I’m going to kill you both” he screams.*

*I stand my ground; “you couldn’t even burst a pimple; you moron” kicking him in the groin; I grab Bea and run out of the room. Greg was 12 at the time this happened, I was 10 and Beatrice 7.*

These encounters only got worse when he got, his lion, Simpson. He was the reason I left the Fungua pride.

Aunty Marie was in a neighbouring pride and offered to take me in after I got my lioness Ayanna. Bea followed; as she always did. She stayed with Marie when I met my mate Raoul; a Bengal tiger.

I moved to the nearby Miamba pride to be with him, but they were under constant Rogue attacks. We were being attacked daily. The whole of Miamba pride fled south and met up with the White Coven; they helped the Light Coven by putting a protective barrier around the territory and we changed our name to Orange Pride. It was Raoul’s father’s favourite colour.

Raoul was meant to take over as leader of the Orange Pride; he decided he would prefer to be known as the mate of the leader and gave the task to me. To be honest; I don’t make any decisions, he isn’t a part of anyway. We run the pride together.

After about a month; the Red Moon Pack joined us in the territory. We were hesitant at first; but once we met the current Alpha, Renee Whitehead and her mate Romeo; we clicked. We have been inseparable since.

I do know about Renee’s past concerning the Blood Moon pack and her uncle, Raymond Gloster. He is the reason they were bought here. He raped her as a child. She had trouble trusting Romeo in an intermate setting and he convinced her to speak with her parents; Alpha Eugene and Luna Monica.

When they found out; they challenged Raymond and were killed. Betta Jerome bought them here and she became Alpha of the pack. She found it bitter sweet to kill Raymond eight months ago; not only did Dianna; with the help of six others tear him to pieces, Dianna also destroyed he’s manhood. She still laughs about how Dianna went in for the killer blow.

Another cat pride, three bear clans and five more wolf packs followed, all having the same issues as Renee and myself faced.

We learnt to live together as a community and we stood together to defeat Emerald Moon; Blood Moon and a new pack Ruby Moon who affiliated themselves as Sebastian and Raymond did. We are now seen as a community of peacemakers. Which is why I called, a leader’s meeting. My parents rang me and need our help. They will be here in three days to talk with the leaders.
