Chapter 28

Gilda’s POV

I finished at the mall and drop my parcels to our room. Joe must already be there; I head up the elevator to Jon and Liv’s. Whatever Olivia needs to talk to us about must be important if she mind linked me to come. I hop out of the elevator; Joe, Leanne, Cynthia, Nathanial and Adrian are all waiting at the door. “You were all summoned too, I take it?” I ask the group. “Yes, the kids aren’t here yet” Leanne answers as the elevator door opens and Jessica, Olivia, Alex and Jonathon hop off. Jonathon looks drained; “are you ok, Jonny?” I ask him. “Yeah, please come in and find a seat” he tells us, opening the door.

We all walk into the room and find our seats. Joe and I sit at one three seat sofa with Adrian. Leanne, Cynthia and Nathanial sit on the other. Jess, Jon, Liv and Alex get the four dining chairs from around the table and sit in between the two sofas. “What’s this all about?” Leanne asks.

Alex starts “What we are about to tell you, cannot” he pauses looking at Adrian and Nathanial then continues “not even Cath or Debbie for their protection; leave this room.” We all look at one another. There were nods and yes’ from us all. Jonny proceeds “Gamma Shaun is here” “where is he; I’ll rip him a new asshole” Nathanial injects. “Settle, petal; we are not ripping him a new asshole; let him finish” Jess pipes in. Jonny starts talking again, “as I was saying Gamma Shaun is here and it turns out, he is my biological uncle. Sebastian and Aubrey Petersen are not my biological parents.”

There were a few gasps around the room, myself included. “Who are your biological parents?” I ask him. He looks at the other three sitting next to him “Jaxon and Yvette Thompson.” Adrian gasps “your Alpha Timothy’s brother?” he questions. “Identical twin brother to be precise, we are not doublegangers as most of us thought” Jonny answers. “My real name is Tobias, given to me by Yvette. Leanne, I would like to do a name changing ceremony if you will permit it? What better way to start my life away from Emerald Moon; than to change my name.”

“I will make the arrangements” she responds “While you’re at it, can myself and Jess get one too? Olivia asks; I narrow my eyes at my daughter, “relax mum, we are just changing our surname; I want to be married to this oaf” she clarifies pointing her thumb toward Jonny. “Sure” Leanne tells her smiling at Alex and Jessica.

“When did you find this information out?” Cynthia asks “This morning, I had a scheduled meeting with Tim; but found Shaun behind his desk. Let’s just say Tyler wasn’t too pleased to see him” Jonny chuckled. “It was explained then” Alex added. No wonder Jonny looks drained, the poor thing must be beside himself. I hop up off the sofa and go over to him; wrapping my arms around him.

“I’m ok Mum.” I place a kiss on his forehead and sit back next to Joe. “There’s more, the real reason why Shaun is here; Sebastian sent him” Jessica informs us. “I’ll kick that prick to hell and back” Nathanial shouts. “Aww, it’s so touching my big brother loves me sooo much; but Sebastian isn’t getting anywhere near here” Jessica says sarcastically. “Shaun told us everything he knows. Mum, you are not going to like this next bit” Olivia injects.

“Aunty Jodie…” “what has that worthless piece of shit done now?” I scream. “Let me finish mum, Aunty Jodie has been informing Sebastian where we are. These photos you took to give to Granddad” she gives me photocopies of the photos, “she gave them to Sebastian and Mark.” “She’s also the one who produced the No More Wolf serum according to Shaun” Alex includes. I’m livid; no, I’m beyond livid. My big sister is a diabolical moron. “Does your grandfather know?” I ask. “About Aunty Jodie, no; about Shaun being here yes” Olivia said.

Joe gently puts a hand on my arm. “What do you want us to do” he asks them. “Nothing” Jonny answers. We look at him confused. “At the moment anyway, we want to invite Elder Matthews to the Alpha Ceremony. We will inform him then” Alex tells everyone. “At this time; we will continue doing everything as though we don’t know what Sebastian is up to. Jonny and myself will be talking with Shaun and Tim, between the four of us; we will come up with a plan of attack. Joe we may need your input on this?”

“That’s fine with me; my little girl is not going to be taken again” Joe says, there's hurt in his voice. Olivia comes over to Joe and gives him a big hug. “I love you too Dad” she whispers to him.

“I have a thought” Adrian speaks up; “After the Alpha Ceremony, we invite Sebastian and his sheep here.” “It’s finally happened; my sister has made you lose what’s left of your marbles” Nathanial remarks. “No here me out, I know what you all are thinking” he pauses to see if anyone else objects. “We have Shaun, who Sebastian thinks is doing reconnaissance for him regarding Jon and most likely Liv and Jess because he thinks of them as his property. We can have him find out how many men he has for an army. It’s not just our pack here; there are 12. Think about it; by the time he realises he has bitten off more than he can chew, he will be destroyed.”

“That has merit; it needs refinement but it could work” Joe injects. “We will need to discuss things with Shaun and Tim, but it’s a start” Jonathon says looking a bit more hopeful.

“Mum, Aunty Leanne, you are being awfully quiet. Do you have any thoughts?” Jessica asked the ladies. “I can’t speak for Cyndy but I have been taking everything in. I don’t know if Shaun can be trusted; after all, he was a part of the attack and the death of your father” Leanne responds to Jessica; however, she is looking at Alex.

“I agree with Leanne” Cynthia includes and continues “He was there when Zach was killed and when he took Liv and Jess; he didn’t stop it; why?” she looks at the four children. “To protect me” Jonathon answers her. “He promised Yvette he would stay at Emerald Moon to protect me; he didn’t intervene the same reason I didn’t tell Liv or Jess why you guys were still alive. Dad would have killed them and whoever came to get them. Dad would have killed him and most likely me. I asked him the same question and that was his response.”

“He also said he was unaware of the attack until it was too late. He knew about the border changes and negotiations with Dad; they didn’t inform him they were taking us down until it happened” Alex includes.

“It’s getting late, I think we should call it a day. Let us set up another time; I’ll invite Tim, Shaun and Yvette along and we can discuss this further. Mum, Dad can you stay behind for a few more minutes?” Jonathon tells everyone. Jess and Olivia give everyone a hug as they head out the door. Joe and myself remain seated on the sofa.

Jonathon and Alex sit on the sofa across from us. “What are your thoughts?” Jonathon asks us. I burst into tears knowing what he was talking about. Not Shaun; Not finding out he was not Sebastian’s son. About Jodie; “I can’t believe my own flesh and blood can do this to me; to us” I say to them through sobs; Olivia nudges herself between Joe and I grabbing hold of our hands. “I knew you would be pissed.”

“What do you want us to do?” Joe asks. “We can’t tip her off; that will give Sebastian the upper hand” Alex says to us. “We can’t even tell granddad yet” Olivia injects. “He needs to know” I object, pursing my lips. “And he will, when he comes here away from her; for the Alpha Ceremony” Jonny smiles. “I will need to give him a reason to come.” “Tell him his granddaughter is being sworn in as Luna” Olivia pipes up. Jonathon and Alex mouths drop open. “Are you boys catching flies?” Jessica giggles. “But you both wanted to wait” they try to say in unison. “We don’t have the luxury unfortunately” Jess says “and we were going to do it anyway” Olivia agreed.

Their mouths close and smiles beamed across their faces. “My daughter, joint Luna of the Gold Moon Pack. I am so proud of you” Joe says beaming. “Does that mean no more workouts, Master Joe?” Olivia says looking at her father hopeful. “Not on your life missy; you have a pack to protect. Training is still on tomorrow morning 6am sharp” he retorts. “Ugh” she responds slouching back into the sofa.

“We better get going, there’s a lot still to do regarding the ceremony” I announce; “I will see you four in the morning” Joe tells them. “Me too? Why?” Alex says looking crushed. “Why should they have all the fun.” I give Olivia and Jess a cuddle; then Joe and myself leave the room to the elevator.

He stops me before I hit the button to go down, “It will be ok; if I know your father, he already knows about Jodie and has a plan to stop her” I smile at him and push the down button. He leans down and gives me a kiss; the elevator doors open and we get on.
