Chapter 69

Warda was playing with Arham, meanwhile, Ayzel was showing her the shopping she did yesterday with Zain.

Things got a bit better between them. But still, Warda has maintained a line while Ayzel wanted a sister-like bond with her, as she had with Burhan. But it was enough for now that Warda did not insult Ayzel anymore.

When She brought out a dress, it shocked both girls.

"Please tell me, you did not buy this with bhai," Warda commented looking weirdly at the dress.

Ayzel shook her head. "No. We never buy that dress. I bought a red color dress from this boutique. I guess maybe some mistake was made while packing. I also did not check." Ayzel replied. She was a bit upset too.

"Thank god, otherwise I would have suicide at the fact that bhai's choice has gotten that worse." Warda Shrugged.

"What will you do now about this?" Warda asked Ayzel and then answered her question by herself.

"Throw it or give it to the maid." She advised Ayzel, who looked at her unbelievably.

The dress was more expensive than the amount Ayzel had paid. So, she decided to return it and bring back her original dress. By throwing or giving away that dress, she did not want to cause a loss to someone.

Ayzel was confused about whether to take Arham with her or not.

"Don't worry I can take care of him. If you trust me enough." Warda said to her.

"Warda, what are you saying? Of course, it is the best thing that I can roam everywhere without caring about the baby. Because his aunt takes great care of him." Ayzel replied Warda beamingly.

"Come on my choco chip. You and Phuphu ( aunt) will enjoy a lot. Say bye-bye to Mama." Warda waved Arham's hand and was cooing him.

Ayzel left for the boutique. The boutique was inside a very big shopping mall.

The sales girl apologized too much. The dress was exchanged easily.

"Ma'am, this is a fresh article and a very demanded. Please try this." The sales girl requested her.

Ayzel first denied but after too much insist from the girl, she went inside the trial room.

Inside the trial room, a storm was waiting for her. Her first instinct was to scream but somehow she controlled herself. Her breath stopped in her throat. With very difficulty, she whispered.

"Sameer." She still could not believe that he was standing in front of her. His face was covered with faint scars. He was looking very weak and his face was pale too.

"Ayzel," he said her name and hugged her. He was crying. He was whispering apologies. For some reason, Ayzel did not like his touch and proximity. She wriggled out of his embrace.

"Sameer What...how.." She could not decide what to ask him.

Sameer cupped her face. "Thank god you are alive and fine. Do you know how much I was worried for you? Every single moment I was thinking about you. I was worried for you." Tears were flowing from his eyes.

"Sameer, what are you saying? Where were you all this time? Why were you worried for me?" the tensed Ayzel asked her.

She did not like being alone with him in a tiny room though once they were friends.

"Ayzel do not worry. I will save you now from that monster. I am sorry I could not save you earlier. But you don't need to be afraid now. I am here. Your sameer is here." What nonsense he was uttering.

"Sameer! Do you even know what are you saying? From whom do you want to save me? About which monster you are talking about?" Now Ayzel was uncalm too.

"The same monster who forced you to marry him, Zain Skider. I am sorry I could not come earlier to have you." He replied in a hurt tone.

It angered Ayzel. "Sameer watch your mouth. Zain is my husband. He is not a monster." Warm tears appeared at the edge of her eyes.

"Ayzel, look at my face, look at these scars!" he gripped her hand and forcefully traced it on his face.

"Do you know who was behind this?" he was gritting in anger.

"None other than your husband. The monster Zain Skinder!" He yelled.

Ayzel felt she would faint here at any moment. "Sameer..you..must be mistaken." Her voice was meek and shaking.

"Ayzel listen to me. This is not the right place to talk about all these. But Zain Skidner is not what you think. He is much worse than I told you. Your guard is outside. Don't let know anyone about this. I will contact you." Sameer assured her. And then fed his contact into her mobile and saved her number into his phone.

He told her that they would meet again but she had to keep it a secret.

She hurriedly came out of the trial room and did not bother to pick up the purchased dress as her mind was clouded with other thoughts.

She was sweating and taking deep breaths as if she had done a sin. The driver noticed her but did not say anything.

After reaching home, she went inside hurriedly. On the way, she collided with Warda.

Warda gave her suspicious looks. Her face was told that she had seen a ghost. But seeing a ghost would be less scary than facing Sameer and hearing him.

"Where to madam? What's wrong with you? Have you stolen something?" Warda asked her seriously, making Ayzel's frightened soul more frightened.

Seeing Ayzel's face she started to laugh and told her that she was kidding.

Ayzel wanted to go into her room. But Warad was not leaving her.

"By the way, where is your dress?" Warda looked at her empty hands.

Then Ayzel realized her blunder.

"I did..not..want it anymore. I will see Arham." Ayzel made tha excuse and rushed to her room and locked the door. Warda only shrugged at her weird behavior.

Ayzel was exhaling deep breaths by leaning against the door.

At night when Zain came back, she did not welcome him in the usual way. It was observed by Zain too. But he ignored it.

At night sleep never came to her. She was changing sides on the bed. But when it did not work she came downstairs to drink cold water.

She stayed there. After some time Zain came too when he did not find her on the bed.

"Squirrel, what are you doing here? I got worried about where my wife was at this hour of the night." He creased her hair.

"I..was.I was thirsty." She uttered.

Zain chuckled softly. "Dear wifey, we have a fridge upstairs too. And why you did not wake me up? What did you trouble yourself? I should have brought water for you." He cared for her.

Without thinking and waiting she hugged him to make him surprised but somehow he hugged her back.

She was seeking peace from the same person whose hidden secrets were causing turmoil in her mind.

How ironic.

She just prayed whatever Sameer had to reveal would be some misunderstanding. She did not want to lose her happy family.
