A long convoy of luxurious cars drove into the shayan group leaving behind a thong of admirers
“The shayan group is so wealthy, look at the luxury cars trooping in. I heard the name of the car is The ghost and it costs over sixty million for one” a woman whispered to another.
“Yes the shayan group is very amazing and sophisticated. Ordinary people like us never get a chance to go in. But my sister works here as an assistant logistics manager” the other girl said proudly while the others looked at her enviously.
Meanwhile inside, Mr Benjamin Walker, Emma's father stepped down from one of the ghosts and angrily matched into the shayan group. Mrs Allen Walker followed suit her face brewing a storm too.
As they got to the nineteenth floor, they ran into Maxwell. “Mr Benjamin..! It's such an awesome pleasure to meet you” he exclaimed happily, but Benjamin just grunted in response.
“I didn't come here for pleasantries Mr Max. Since the day my daughter went on a date with Mr vandxander, she has gone missing. It's over a year now, please if she was taken because of the fifty million given to my company, I'm read to pay back but I want my daughter” Benjamin said emotionally, tearing up.
Max was flabbergasted, he stood transfixed on the spot his mind connecting the dots. It is exactly a year too since the ceo disappeared. Could it be….no, no way. “ Mr Benjamin, i honestly don't know what is going on with the ceo for over a year now. All means of communication has been cut off the affairs of the company has been on my weary shoulders” Max complained adjusting his glasses.
Allen slumped to the ground and began to sob. “Oh my poor Emma, I'm sorry for putting you into all these. Mummy is so selfish, please come back” she wailed while her husband pulled her away as she was about making a scene.
They drove home in silence with only Allen occasional sniffing. As the trees passed by, they passed a young beautiful girl of about eighteen years old standing by the roadside. As soon as she saw their car, she starred directly into Allen's eyes, her big watery eyes filled with a sense of longing. A familiar cord struck with Allen.
“Stop..!”
She suddenly shouted at the driver making him hold the brakes abruptly, making them all loose balance. Before anyone could ask her what was going on, she ran out of the car back to the young girl.
She got to the girl almost out of breath and held her shoulders excitedly barely steadying her shaky breath. “Wendy….wendy…where have you been? Is this really you?” She asked running her hands over the girl's face as if trying to confirm it isn't a ghost.
“Yes mother, its me. I didn't die sixteen years ago, i was rescued by a kind old villager who raised me till she died. But before she died, she gave me this picture and told me she's my mother” Wendy said showing Allen a picture of herself.
On seeing the picture, she bursted into tears and hugged her tightly almost squeezing breath out of her not minding her dirty appearance. “I'm sorry daughter…I'm sorry…” she muttered over and over again. “I promise to make it up to you and never let you out of my sight again”
After hugging her for a long time, she walked back to the car with Wendy smiling happily. “Honey…you won't believe who i saw today..” she said happily entering back into the car and squeezing in Wendy with her.
On seeing Wendy's face, Benjamin froze in shock. “No….no…no way..” he stammered. “This was the exact reaction i had too when I saw her” Allen laughed happily. Although he was very happy to see his daughter again after sixteen years, he still had some misgivings although she had a very striking resemblance to Allen.
“Tomorrow we'll go for a DNA test…” Benjamin said steadying his voice although excitement was still very visible on his face. On hearing this, Wendy's face grew scared. “I am very afraid of hospitals. That was where my mom that raised me died. What is the name of the hospital you're taking me to tomorrow?” She asked innocently.
Allen hugged her again “don't be scared baby, the hospital is St Peter hospital in the city center and its one of the very best” she said patting Wendy's hair affectionately.
When they got home, Noah was sitting on a sofa in the living room watching a big life size TV. As soon as he saw his mom, he ran to hug her happily. “Guess what baby? Mummy found your sister!” Allen shouted happily and Noah shrieked on the top of his voice in joy.
“Come on Wendy baby, come in.” Allen sofly called out and Wendy slowly came in with admiration all over her face. On seeing her, Noah's face changed immediately. “Mum! This is not my sister Emma! I want my sister Emma!” He shouted angrily folding his arms and pouting.
On hearing this, Wendy's eyes welled up with tears and she turned back and ran away. Seeing this, Allen grew angry and snapped at him “she's your biological sister you spoilt rat!” And ran after Wendy. Noah's eyes grew wide in shock because this is the first time his mom has ever raised her voice at him or insult him. Tears gathered immediately.
But things were only about to get worst. When Noah went to his room, most of his stuff has been moved. Angrily, he stormed to his parents room. “Mum what is going on? Where are my stuff?” He questioned angrily.
But Allen just looked up from what she was doing her eyes looking indifferent. “They've been moved to Wendy's room, there's space big enough for both of you. You're going to stay there till you get along with her and learn some manners young man” she said and backed the door at his face.
Noah was boiling all over, but since she couldn't do much, he angrily went back to his room. He saw wendy sitting on his new bed and playing with his toys. He exploded “stay off my stuffs!” he shouted snatching the toy away from her and pushed her away from the bed.
Wendy looked up at angrily at him and pushed him away too. “You spoiled brat.!” She cursed but this made him furious completely, exactly the opportunity she had been waiting for. He pushed her hard with her stomach. But he's smaller so that was not enough to even make her shake. But immediately, Wendy fell to the floor and began to wail loudly.
