"Mother are you thinking what I'm thinking?"Carmen scooped close to the old lady and whispered and the old lady answered with her eyes glued to her tablet screen.
"If you thinking why your son is acting like a lunatic, then yes I'm thinking the same"the old lady replied and carmen frowned and shot back.
"Mother, he's your grandson and as everyone knows you always say he takes after his grandfather"carmen said and the old lady chuckled and set her tablet on the table as they both watched as emiliano nearly ripped off Lulu's head for something the poor girl did not do.
"Is this what I told you to get huh!?"Emiliano slammed the glass if orange juice from Lulu's hand and it was sent flying across the room as the glass shattered into pieces, lulu's eyes watered as she sunk in a corner scared out of her wits as she tried to push the tears away from falling but she couldn't, her boss was very angry even though he asked her to get him a glass of orange juice.
"Get out of my face!"he said coldly and without wasting time lulu ran from there and headed back to the kitchen and came who had now walked from where she was sitting and joined emiliano who seemed to be in a terrible mood, she has never seen emiliano act so vile like he had done earlier not just to lulu but also to the managing director who had come to deliver a few files.
"Is something wrong with you? so don't seem like yourself"carmen asked and Emiliano took his phone and and checked if he got anything from Nickolas but so far nothing and it had been hours since Angelo left with the little fox, after the stunt she pulled in his office and made him destroy his own phone where he had the video to get rid of her and now she was busy flirting with his best friend.
"Mom I'm fine"he simply said to prevent his mom from meddling in his life.
"Are you sure? You treated lulu pretty bad, poor girl must be crying in some corner"carmen went on and said knowing emiliano didn't want her to ask questions however she was worried for him.
"I.."
"Hello family, I guess you are not expecting me"a familiar voice said and the three people in the living looked to the direction it came from and the old lady smiled while Emiliano averted his eyes from him and Mario who walked to them didn't mind as he went straight to the old lady.
"Pretty lady, I told you not to look so beautiful because someone might steal you from me"Mario said with a charming smile and took the old lady's hand and kissed the back of it and she blushed.
"Foolish man, how can you leave your beloved and run away"the old lady remarked and Mario sat next to her and continued his sweet talks.
"I'll never leave my love behind, you are too precious you know, Mario's promise"this time he said with a wink that had carmen laughing and shaking her head while the old lady just playfully slapped mario who couldn't help but join.
"What does he want?"Emiliano asked without looking at any of them and only then did marion look at him and grinned like a kid.
"Bro, I thought you would miss me after a long while but I guess I'm still irrelevant"mario said with a chuckle and Carmen chuckled too while emiliano rolled his eyes in annoyance and got up from where he was sitting and headed upstairs probably to his room Mario thought.
"Don't mind him, today isn't for him... I called you here for something"carmen said and mario nodded.
"Yes mario we called you here because we trust you"the old lady added and mario wondered why they looked so serious, he hoped they didn't find out he was helping Sia because if they did then they would probably be disappointed in him.
"Is something wrong?"he asked but carmen shook her head and handed him her tablet.
"We called you here because we have a wedding to arrange"she told him and Mario widened his eyes not in surprise but why he was needed.
"Emiliano I getting married again, who is the lucky girl?"he knew who the girl was but he had to act surprised and all.
"Exactly and this time it's happening because you know how emiliano is when it comes to marriage, he hates it"it wasn't knew that emiliano hated marriage, for years they have tried to understand his point of view and waited until he was ready however that never happened, he still never liked anything that had to do with marriage, Mario made a thinking face and nodded.
"Let me talk to him"he said with a smile and both Carmen and the old lady nodded for him to go on and Mario got up and rushed upstairs to Emiliano's room but when he got there emiliano was nowhere to be seen hence he made his way to the game room, of course he was only one year old than him but he still got along with him pretty well just like Angelo did.
"Hey man"he said as he pushed the door open and found emiliano sitting with his head leaned back to the sofa and his eyes closed and once he heard he had company his eyes shot open and he took a glass of wine on the side table and sipped on it.
"Is your agency having a problem? have you gone bankrupt?"emiliano asked with a raised brow but mario ignored his sarcasm and sat down and poured himself a drink.
"I wouldn't say that if I were you, I heard you got a kid, congrats"he said with a chuckle and Emiliano tilted his head towards him and glared him and he chuckled even more.
"What man? I love kids you do too and now that you have one that makes me... uncle Mario hahaha I know I'm great"Mario said and got up from the sofa and went to fix the play station while emiliano took the controllers from the table.
"Make your own baby and become an uncle"he was feeling irritated because everyone have been bewitched by Sia and her baby and of course Mario had fallen in the trap without even meeting her and well his elder brother was already a slave so he had to fight this war all by himself.
"I see you haven't accepted her yet, is she ugly?"mario stopped what he was doing and looked back at Emiliano who had a thinking face, was the serpent ugly? he didn't know nor was he interested to answer however someone who had better views about Sia answered on his behalf.
"Not only is she beautiful but with a heart of gold"Angelo chimed in with a chuckle as he pushed the door open and took long strides to emiliano and grabbed his glass of wine before it could reach his lips.
"What up bro, had fun?"mario asked his brother but got ignored instead.
"Did you find love?"Angelo asked instead and Mario raised a brow.
"If I did I would be bragging, I should be asking you, did you find love or maybe emiliano fell in love he... seems to be upset about something"Mario immediately regretted his words because emiliano slammed his fist on the glass table such that his skin had a cut and blood trickled down a little, angelo glared at mario who zipped his mouth dramatically and pretended to throw the keys away.
"Enough, if you have nothing else to talk about leave"his voice was cold and stern such that Mario and angelo swore they saw old emiliano in him but emiliano was very good at hiding himself not matter how much anyone did to make him lose his cool.
"It's just love nothing much, things of them past remain in the past, let's just face reality and move on"mario said with some irritation to his voice as he set down whatever he was holding and took the leather jacket he had out on the sofa.
"Love?"emiliano said the unfamiliar word sarcastically "think before you speak because we know damn well how that shit made someone do"Emiliano said in anger his words directed at Angelo who had his head lowered and emiliano walked out of the room leaving Mario standing there not sure what to do but when he glanced at angelo he saw that serious face he knew too well and immediately felt bad.
"Bro I…"mario started but Angel stopped him with his half raised hand.
"Get the fuck out"he said through gritted teeth and feeling defeated Mario shook his head and walked out of the room leaving angelo fuming in anger as his fist clenched tightly.
