Chapter 26 YOU BELONG TO ME, KIMBERLY SLOANE.

Chapter 26 YOU BELONG TO ME, KIMBERLY SLOANE.
26.

~KIMBERLY~

I watch him in awe as he goes into his room, Did he just use my words against me? Was he angry about the fact that I pleaded with him to let us be cordial with each other even if we try to maintain a house mate relationship?
But what the hell am I supposed to say? I don't know how to describe this weird relationship between us. And calling him my husband when there's no one around us is quite bothersome.
After preparing some toast and coffee, I start eating mine right away so I can have enough time to get myself ready for school.
Today is my first day and it feels like I'm a giddy teenager, worrying about making friends and doing well in academics.
I have no excuse for failing, I don't have to worry about paying any bills or working, Rafael insisted on me settling down in school first before deciding on working part time and I think that's good advice because I genuinely still don't know how I'm going to cope with the weeks of work they've done.
Returning to my room, I slip into the bathroom and within three minutes, I'm done washing myself up.
Inside the seven brown boxes, four of them are filled up with tops, pants and dresses, the fifth one contains undies and some night wears.
My face flushes in embarrassment, Did he choose them himself?
The sixth one contains accessories which includes a box of jewelry, makeup kits, some casual footwear, fashionable bags suitable for classes, skin and hair care products for women.
While the last one is filled with school kits, books, pens, markers and other stuff necessary.
I didn't even think about all these, my eyes water in gratitude, genuinely speechless and confused on how to thank Rafael
Shaking my head and trying not to let this get into my head, I resume preparing for school.
After throwing on a blue blouse and black trouser; I stuff some necessary things I will be needing inside one of the new bags which is brown and slip on a matching brown sandals for it.
My hair is in loose wavy curls and it's down to my butts, i will be needing a trim soon.
Striding down the stairs, Rafael is already in his usual suit outfit, ready to go for work but he's still eating his breakfast while scrolling through his emails.
He turns behind sharply from the dining room and assesses me with his black eyes.
"Wait, do I look bad?" I panic, whirling awkwardly at the last stairs.
I don't even know why I'm freaking out, we're not going for a date or an outing for God's sake.
"Nope, you look great." He nod in the approval of my outfit, his eyes are still on me.
Glancing at my wristwatch, it's a little bit after 9 am, I should be in school by 10 am so I still have some time before leaving and Rafael doesn't seem to be leaving soon as well.
"Is the toast good?" I ask, walking past him, I sit on one of the exotic chairs he's occupying.
Rafael places the cup of coffee on his lips and glances at me briefly and brings it down again."Yes, it's good, thanks."
He replies in a curt tone, making me quite disappointed that he's not saying much words again.
After he's done eating, Rafael slips his hand into his pockets and brings out a wallet containing cards, there are up to five black cards stacked there among others, he brings out a blue card and ticks it towards my direction.
"You might need it for something." He mutters under his breath, the last one he gave me was probably in the car I ruined.
"Rafael, you don't have to, I mean..."
"University is draining as fuck, you will definitely need it, make some friends too, and go out on dates with them, this is one of the best ways to socialize and get out of your shell."
"Should I tell them that I'm married? I mean..."
"They will definitely know, we're publicizing our wedding before my court case starts."
"Can we postpone the announcement till next week, I want to settle down in school first." I plead.
Rafael shrugs."Sure, as you wish." He grabs his phone again and rises up to his feet.
"I'm taking you to school, come on."
"You are?" I holler in surprise, but quickly fling my bag on my shoulder as well.
"Yes, because I have to give you your ring which must stay on your finger every time." He answers simply.
I smile behind him, he's just full of shit, he probably wants to send me off to school on my first day as my sponsor but he's using the ring as an excuse.
Wait, I have to start using a ring now? Shit, Gosh, I just wish the whole marriage thing is not so overwhelming for me.
Me being married means that other men are probably off limits for me and I won't be able to date until divorce?
Wow, but Rafael still sleeps with women, he did during the time I had an accident and he's still probably sleeping with them. Right?
"Does that mean I only have this week to date as freely as I want until the announcement?" I blurt out in curiosity, wanting to see the look on his face and his response.
Rafael whirls in front of me suddenly till he's facing me squarely, a frown plaster on his face.
"Don't you dare, Kimberly Sloane." He bites out in a harsh tone, shocking me beyond words.
His eyes bulge in anger as he walks closer to me. I find myself moving back, quite nervous about whatever he's about to do or say.
"Rafael." I whimper as he corners me to a chair, he suddenly grabs my waist and pulls me closer to him, his large hands laying dangerously low to my butt.
"You belong to me, Kimberly. Every inch of you, your body or everything about you as a woman, belongs to me, no other man gets to have you, and if you try doing that and I find out, I will make sure you have a taste of what the idea of an actual marriage is."
