Chapter 51

Beatriz Del Valle POV

I woke up late and alone today on my bed. I looked for Johana inside the room and she's not here as well as Jia and Ella. So I stood up and freshened up before I went out of our room.

Last night was fun. We played games with the team. Johana and I were both okay and sweet. We basically just spent our time together with the team.

They made fun of what I did too but it was okay with me. It's really my fault and I'm just glad that it was just a mistake and I can still be with Johana again.

As I went out of the room, I roam around the house where we all stayed but the team wasn't here. It was only me and the house helper who's busy cleaning the house.

I went to the beach front and I saw Madeline. I immediately ran towards her.

"Mads!"

She looked at me and smiled. "You're awake."

"Where are they?" I asked while catching my breath.

"They went on an island hopping. We're waiting for you actually." She said and then I saw Trey walking towards us.

So, Johana didn't wait for me to wake up? Well, it's fine. Maybe she's just so excited to do island hopping.

"Hi, Bei!" Trey said and hugged me.

"Let's go?" Madeline asked.

"Wait... So all of them already started the island hopping and left us here?" I asked again.

"Yup because we woke up late. And that's just fine! So we can bond again." Madeline said.

So we decided to go for an island hopping as well. We're just saying stories and laughing together until we reached the first island so we have to go out of the boat to enjoy the first island.

It's so beautiful. It has clear water and a very relaxing view. I saw Trey taking selfies and Madeline walked closer to me.

"Hi, Bei." She greeted.

"Hey." I said as we continue walking on the sand.

"I just want to thank you for all the memories we shared. For being a good friend of mine. For everything. I'm so proud of what you become today. I always hope for your happiness." She said and smiled at me.

"Hey, Mads. Why are you saying that?" I asked because I suddenly felt nervous.

"Nothing. I just want to say it." She said.

Trey also come with us. "Me too, Bei! I just want to tell you that you deserved everything you have in life right now. And I wish you nothing but unending happiness."

"Come on guys. Why are you saying that?" I asked because I feel so touched and at the same time confused because we never used to talk this way to each other.

They didn't respond until we reached another island again. This one is indeed beautiful than the first one. I fell in love with this island as soon as I see it.

I'm still quite confused because Madeline and Trey never talked to me again since earlier. Until we walked around this beautiful island again...

I was surprised to see my teammates forming a line.

"What... What is this?" I asked and looked at Trey and Madeline.

"Be happy, Bea." They both said and pushed me to my other teammates.

I saw Aisa smiling at me. She's holding at me while holding a placard with a statement on it. It says there, 'This time, it's for real'

I passed by Aisa and saw my teammate Gizzle with a placard too. It says there 'I waited for so long, so it's now or never'

I continued walking as I read all those statements written on the placard. I feel very nervous... But my heart is so happy with what I'm seeing right now.

Until I reached Ella. She's smiling at me... I read her placard and it says there 'Say yes'

Then I pass by her and saw Jianna. She's holding a placard too and I noticed that she's the last one here, I frowned with what's written on her placard, it says there, 'SAY NO'

"Jia?" I asked while laughing at her.

"I mean it. Just say no if you will just leave and hurt my bestie again. But you can say yes if you promised to stay." She said and smiled at me.

"I won't leave her again. I promise." I said.

"You have to record it. We have to collect proofs. So, can you call the photographer to record what you said?" She asked.

"You can call him yourself, Jia. Why do I have to do it for you?" I asked her but I saw her face turned red. Oh. She has a crush on that guy.

I called the photographer and he immediately went to us.

"May I know your name?" I asked.

"I'm Miguel." He said and smiled.

"Nice. You already know Jia huh." I said and winked at her.

"Bea!" I heard her shout and I continue walking while laughing at her. I hope Jianna finds someone who will actually love her. She deserves it.

I stopped walking when I saw my Mom and Dad standing in front of me... with Johana's family... I also saw Kianna.

"What is happening here? I asked.

Kianna smiled at me. "I'm sorry for everything, Bea. I hope this time everything will be alright for you. Be happy and say yes." She said.

I looked at Mom. "Say yes, my daughter."

I am so confused. I thought they have an important business meeting? Why are they here? Oh gosh.

Dad smiled at me. "I know you're quite surprised to see us here. But we're here to give you our full support in whatever decision you will make. I'm sorry Bea for being an imperfect father for you. But I promise, this time, I will support you all the way. I love you my daughter. It's time to be happy again... Say yes."

I cried after hearing it from him. I could not stop my tears. I waited so long to be accepted by him, to be supported by them and now it is here. They're finally giving me the best gift ever... acceptance.

It is true that acceptance is really one important manifestation of love. If you really love someone, you'll learn how to accept them, despite their imperfections, despite everything.

"Say yes, Bea." They all said as they break the line that they're forming and there I saw Johana standing in the middle. She's wearing a white floral dress and she looks beautiful today. Well, she always does.

She's smiling at me and I couldn't help but smile at her too.

"So as you can see, everyone who's here with us has become a part of our love story. They may have caused us pain, but what's important is we're still here and we're stronger than before because of those heartaches." Johana said.

I agreed. All of them has helped me and Johana with our relationship. They have contributed a lot in this relationship that's why it's still here.

"Aren't you gonna come closer to Jo?" Ria asked and my family and teammates all laughed.

I felt shy and walked towards Johana. And now, I'm right in front of her.

She's smiling at me. "Are you nervous?" She asked me as she held my shaky hand.

"Not... really?"

She laughed at me. "Really huh?"

"Don't make us wait right here! We badly want to swim!" Said Jia and they all agreed.

I looked at Johana and she become tensed. "Hey, you alright?" I asked.

She took a deep breath and looked straight into my eyes. "I waited so long for this moment, Bea. I never thought this day would come. But it's finally here after all the challenges we've been through. I just want you to know that, I didn't stop loving you. Even during the times that we broke up. You're still the one I want to be with for the rest of my life."

I just stared at her and she's crying... I wiped her tears using my thumb and she smiled at me. "I don't want to miss this chance... So Bea..." She said and kneeled in front of me.

"Will you marry me?" She asked and showed me the ring.

"Oh god." I said as I was surprised with what she did. "Johana..." I said and I could not stop my tears from falling.

"Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!" They were all chanting. I look at them and they're very happy for us. Including my parents and Johana's family. I never thought this day would come. My heart is so happy.

But ever since I came back here in the Philippines, I am much prepared for moments like this.

So, I pulled out the ring inside my pocket and kneeled in front of Johana as well.

I heard Jia and Ella screamed in happiness so as everyone.

I looked at Johana and she also could not believe of what's happening right now.

She covered her mouth and was crying so hard...

"Will you marry me too, Johana?" I asked.

She stood up and pulled me for a hug. I hugged her so tight. "I love you, Bea. I love you so much. And yes, I will marry you."

Everyone's happy and clapping their hands for us.

I looked at Johana as I cupped her face. "You're the only one I want to marry. So, it's also a yes."

And we exchanged our rings together. After that, we showed it to our family and friends.

"Kiss! We want to see you kiss!" Jianna shouted and everyone follows.

I looked at Johana and she's smiling at me.

I can feel my face turning red because my parents are here too.

"Oh come on! Don't be shy! Both of you are grown ups!" Said my Dad and we all laughed.

"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" They're all chanting.

So I looked at Johana and pulled her close to me. "This is it." I whispered.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and I held her waist... and we kissed passionately in front of our families and friends.

"Yohooo!" They said in happiness.

I looked at Johana after the kiss. "I love you very much, baby." I said and kissed her forehead.

She held my hand. "This time, I won't ever let you go."

Johana and I may not be the best and perfect couple just like any other couples out there but, what's important is we continue to believe in love.

Despite all the challenges, all the heartbreaks, we continue to believe that someday there will be a perfect and right time for us.

And it happened today after years of waiting. We're finally here.

Maybe we should not be too hard on ourselves when it comes to love. Because it is not required to have a beautiful beginning to achieve the happy ending.

Let all the flaws in the relationship shine until we learn from it. Until we learn to be stronger because of it.

We just got to love and trust the process when it comes to love just like what Johana and I did.

Because at the end of the day, love will always prevail.
