Chapter 203: The Vest Falls Off

Things had already reached this point. They had no reason to hold back anymore.

As long as someone could prove Eleanor's plagiarism, even if Jane favored her, Donald Thornton wouldn't budge.

Counting the days, Donald would be back soon.

A calculating look flashed in Susan's eyes.

When he returned, she planned to find a chance to get her daughter and Terrence together. When that happened, Donald would definitely step in to take charge.

To completely destroy Eleanor's reputation, Freya mobilized all the funds she could access. The controversy quickly exploded online again.

[Isn't the most serious accusation against Terralena Studio that they plagiarized? As a designer, stealing someone else's work is disgusting. We must boycott them!]

[Plagiarism is shameful!]

[Agreed, plagiarists shouldn't be allowed to stay in the industry!]

Among these abusive comments, some users still wanted to speak up for Terralena Studio.

[It's just similar style, does that count as plagiarism? Besides, the original creator hasn't come forward with hard evidence.]

[I agree with the person above. Don't jump to conclusions without hard evidence. Unless E herself comes out to respond directly, I'll think Terralena Studio is being wrongly accused.]

[You two, are you paid trolls hired by Terralena Studio? Or are you Eleanor's alternate accounts? Ms. Mitchell, speak up with your main account.]

Soon, users split into two camps. One side insisted Terralena Studio didn't plagiarize, the other insisted they did. Both sides argued fiercely.

Freya had originally thought that as long as she kept pushing Eleanor's plagiarism scandal, users would definitely take her side. She didn't expect half the people to support Eleanor. She was almost driven crazy.

"Damn it, were these people bought off by Eleanor or seduced by her? How can they not tell right from wrong?"

The anger Freya had just suppressed surged up again, and she started smashing things out of control.

Looking at the mess she'd made of the house, Susan's frown deepened.

The Wells mansion was in chaos.

Meanwhile, in Terralena Studio's office, Eleanor had the air conditioning on, calmly watching how things developed online.

Lily knocked and walked in. "Ms. Mitchell, they keep insisting we plagiarized. What do we do?"

"Why are you worried?" Eleanor's tone was steady. "I'm not worried, so you don't need to be either."

"I can't out-argue them..." Lily felt down. "This move is too vicious."

She had originally thought that releasing evidence of Eloise and Lavinia's deliberate targeting would calm things down. She didn't expect the other side to have a backup plan. She worried that if the plagiarism accusation stuck, the studio wouldn't get any more orders.

Eleanor chuckled. "How could you possibly out-argue the paid trolls they hired?"

"I'm just so angry!" Lily pouted.

She thought Eleanor was beautiful and truly talented—why couldn't things go smoothly for her? In her view, those people were purely jealous.

"Come on, what's there to be angry about?" Eleanor comforted her. "Besides, it's not clear yet who's going to win or lose."

Lily stared at her calm expression, getting suspicious. "Ms. Mitchell, have you already thought of a new way to handle this?"

Eleanor nodded, her eyes turning cold. "Since they're pushing ahead knowing it'll backfire, I'll make this whole thing blow back on them completely. Let them swallow the lies they created."

"Then let's do it quick, I can't wait." Lily's eyes lit up.

"Okay." Eleanor agreed. She opened her laptop and logged into the E account she used to use. Lily leaned over to watch her log in. When she saw the account name on the screen, she froze on the spot.

"Oh my god, what did I just see?"

"I can't believe the legendary E from the design world is right beside me?"

Eleanor ignored her shock. She quickly typed on the keyboard and soon edited a post. Before posting it, she deliberately tagged Terralena Studio's official Instagram account.

[Hello everyone, I'm E. Sorry to take up your time. I'm here to clarify: Terralena Studio did not plagiarize. I am actually the owner of Terralena Studio. Please look at this rationally and stop the malicious attacks. We reserve the right to pursue legal action.]

This post instantly exploded across the internet.

[Oh my god—the legend returns!]

[E herself appeared! I can't believe she's the owner of Terralena Studio! She's actually Eleanor?! Is this real or am I hallucinating?]

E's public reveal of her identity shocked users.

[My god, I can't believe E is actually Eleanor. I'm completely stunned!]

[My jaw dropped. Was the account hacked?]

Some people still couldn't believe it. So Eleanor posted another update. E: [I wasn't hacked, this account has always been mine. I chose to pause because of marriage. Now I'm divorced. Thank you to those who are still here. I'll start fresh.]

Now users completely believed it. Many had followed Harold and Eleanor's divorce before, and some had publicly criticized Harold and Lavinia.

[You're amazing, you did the right thing! Living for yourself is so cool!]

[E, love you—]

The comments section completely changed direction, with users competing to express their support.

#E Returns!#

#Shocking! E is actually Eleanor, the eldest daughter of the Mitchell family!#

After this wave, Terralena Studio's reputation skyrocketed.

On the other side, although Eleanor decided to handle this crisis herself, Terrence didn't sit idle. He had his assistant investigate the more hidden parts.

"Mr. Thornton, behind this plagiarism accusation against Eleanor, it's not just Lavinia, but also Vanessa. This woman applied to Terralena Studio before, didn't pass, and later went to Ms. Mitchell's studio to cause trouble."

Terrence recalled a scene he'd stumbled upon recently. That woman was bold enough to make a move on him in person.

"Make her leave Rosewood City."

"Yes!" The assistant immediately agreed. He hesitated, then asked, "Also, we found that Susan and Freya were involved too. How should we handle them? After all, they're from the Wells family."

Technically, they're on Terrence's mother's side of the family.

Terrence's gaze darkened, his voice cold as ice. "If they dare to touch my person, they'll face the consequences."
