Chapter 6

Dominic's POV

Truth be told, I've never lacked good sexual experiences. Since my former girlfriend betrayed me, I'd embraced a simple philosophy: sex without love, pleasure without promises.

I usually hide my werewolf scent, which can reduce unnecessary trouble. Yes, I am a werewolf, but most people only know that the Lucchesi family is very wealthy. They don't know that my grandfather, Magnus Lucchesi, is the Alpha of the strongest werewolf clan, and I have the inheritance right. However, I am not interested in these things. Currently, I just find the woman in front of me interesting.

Especially after she named her price. I detected her panic when the words left her mouth, she clearly thought I wouldn't pay such an astronomical sum for a single night's pleasure.

I decided to toy with her.

"You know, this doesn't align with market rates," I said, my voice deliberately cool. "For just one night, it hardly warrants such an expensive arrangement."

Her eyes widened, her face flushing instantly. "What? Are you going back on your word?"

"I—" she started, but I pressed my thumb against her lips, silencing her.

"The way you moaned when I first entered you," I continued, my voice dropping to a dangerous growl. "How tight you were around me. Virgin or not, your body knew exactly what it wanted."

I felt her knees weaken as she began sliding down the wall. The reaction was genuine—no practiced seduction, no calculated moves. I caught her easily, one hand sliding to her waist to hold her steady.

"Remember how you begged me?" I whispered against her ear, letting my lips brush against her skin. "Please fuck me harder," you said. Such a filthy mouth for someone so innocent."

Her breath hitched, a small sound escaping her parted lips. I could smell her arousal intensifying, mingling with the fear and uncertainty. The combination was intoxicating to my wolf senses.

"I need the money," she whispered, her voice barely audible even to my sensitive ears. "All of it."

I pressed my body closer, letting her feel my hardening length against her. "And if I want more than just one night?" My thumb traced the outline of her lower lip before I pushed it slightly into her mouth. Her eyes widened but she didn't resist. "If I want to explore that beautiful body of yours more thoroughly? Learn all the ways I can make you come?"

She trembled violently, her pupils dilating as I withdrew my thumb and replaced it with my mouth, capturing hers in a bruising kiss. I bit her lower lip hard enough to make her gasp, then soothed the sting with my tongue.

When I pulled back, she was breathless, her lips swollen and her cheeks flushed.

"That would be... negotiable," she managed, struggling to maintain her composure despite the desire radiating from her in waves that my wolf could practically taste.

I was about to press further when my phone rang.

Magnus Lucchesi—my grandfather and the current Alpha of the Silver Moon pack.

"I should take this," I said, stepping back from her clearly flustered form.

"Dominic Lucchesi," my grandfather's voice boomed through the speaker, loud enough that I wasn't certain Elena couldn't hear him from across the room. "You didn't attend last night's dinner. Do you realize how suitable the young woman I arranged for you was? She sat there being ignored all evening."

I turned slightly away, lowering my voice. "I never asked her to come."

"That's hardly gentlemanly behavior, Dominic. Tell me, where were you last night?"

"That's my private business."

"Consorting with prostitutes again?" The disdain in his voice was unmistakable.

"Don't phrase it so crudely, Grandfather," I snapped, glancing at Elena who pretended not to listen while adjusting her towel.

"I'm telling you, Dominic, you must find a mate," he continued, his tone hardening to that of the Alpha giving commands. "Though I don't understand why you haven't sensed your destined mate yet, I believe it's connected to your grief. You need to heal."

I could almost see him pacing in his study, silver hair gleaming in the moonlight, his powerful presence filling the room even over the phone.

"I don't care if your chosen mate is human or mixed-blood—just find her. Three months, Dominic. That's my final ultimatum. Otherwise, I'll arrange a mate for you, or you'll forfeit your right to inherit the Alpha position."

Yes, I am a werewolf—a werewolf who hasn't yet sensed his destined mate. There are three major wolf packs in this world, and the Silver Moon pack is the most powerful. As my grandfather's heir, I'll become the future Alpha.

"This is ridiculous," I growled.

What was this—some kind of arranged marriage? The pack traditions sometimes felt impossibly archaic, a remnant of a time when we lived by different rules. Now we navigated the modern world while shackled to the old ways.

"Can you pay me now?" Elena's voice broke through my thoughts.

I looked up at her—really looked at her. Obedient yet defiant. Clean. Beautiful. My wolf stirred with interest as I cataloged everything about her: the slight curve of her hips visible through the towel, the delicate line of her neck.

There was something unusual about her scent that I couldn't quite place—something beyond the typical human fragrance that called to my more primal instincts.

She shifted uncomfortably under my scrutiny, clutching the towel tighter around herself. The movement only emphasized the swell of her breasts, reminding me of how they'd felt beneath my hands just hours ago.

"What are you staring at?" she asked, her voice stronger now, a hint of defiance returning.

I rose from the sofa in one fluid motion, approaching her with deliberate slowness. She backed up until she hit the wall again, but this time her chin lifted in challenge rather than submission.

"I'm looking at a potential solution to my problem," I said.

"Your problem isn't my concern," she replied. "Our transaction—"

"Could become much more valuable to both of us," I interrupted, my mind racing with possibilities. She was young, attractive, clearly desperate for money. My grandfather would certainly approve of her appearance, at least on the surface. And there was something about her—something that might even make the deception believable.

Suddenly, I had a plan.
