Chapter 116
Sienna's pov
I didn't have a good time in prison.
Was the unfair treatment because I was naturally hated, or was it orchestrated by someone? Who could say for sure?
Harrison definitely had a hand in my early release. The fact that he was standing at the gate said it all.
But I couldn't bring myself to move forward.
How was I supposed to face him now?
Should I thank him for getting me out early?
Absolutely not!
Seeing me stop, Harrison walked towards me.
He had a slight smile on his face, and the gentle breeze softened his sharp features.
We were less than ten feet apart, but the time it took for him to reach me felt infinitely long.
It was too long.
I had always been the one to walk towards him. Perhaps, from now on, he should come to me.
"Let's go home."
Harrison extended his hand, palm up, waiting for me to take it.
But I took two steps back, looking at him blankly, my lips trembling as I spoke words that wiped the smile off his face.
"Who... are you?"
I knew I wasn't a good actress, and one question might not be enough to convince him.
So I continued, "Are you here to take me home? Can you tell me why I went to prison? Why did they all bully me?"
Harrison withdrew his hand, his eyes narrowing to hide his true emotions.
"Sienna , stop pretending."
His voice was still cold, a familiar coldness that he never showed to Elena.
A familiar suffocating feeling gripped my chest. I frowned slightly, feigning confusion. "Pretending? What did I do?"
Sure enough, in his eyes, I was still the person who would stop at nothing to achieve my goals.
Even knowing I was bullied in prison, his first reaction was that I was acting.
"You seem to hate me. Are you really here to take me home?"
Harrison 's expression softened slightly, a hint of panic flashing in his eyes, though he hid it well.
"Stop playing games with me. Come home with me!"
He grabbed my wrist forcefully, and I instinctively swung my other arm, slapping him hard.
"I don't know you! Why should I go with you?!"
Harrison looked at me in disbelief, his lips moving but no words coming out.
He just stood there, covering his face, staring at me with growing sadness in his eyes.
His words didn't match his expression.
"Where else can you go if not with me?"
Suddenly, Harrison strode over, scooping me up in his arms despite my struggles, holding me tightly.
I struggled in fear, only to hear his warning, as if from the depths of hell, yet also desperate to prove something.
"Don't move. You're my wife. We still have our marriage certificate. It's only right for me to take you home. I don't care what game you're playing. Remember me or not, it doesn't matter. We can start over from now."
Clinging to his shoulder, I was too scared to look at him, his words shaking me to my core.
Start over?
Yes, I lost my memory. The past grudges could be wiped clean, giving Harrison and me a reason to start anew.
But why was he still entangled with me? He could have appeased Elena by making me go to prison, and now he talked about starting over?
Did this prove he loved me?
Even if it did, I couldn't believe it anymore.
"You're my... husband?"
I leaned into Harrison 's embrace.
The act had to continue, and it wasn't a bad thing to go back to Blackwood Estate.
In fact, it was exactly what I wanted.
Returning to Blackwood Estate with amnesia would make it easier for me to carry out my plans.
Harrison , Elena, the Blackwood family—they would all pay for the injustices they inflicted on me!
"I'll show you our marriage license when we get home."
Harrison looked at me, gently caressing my cheek, his face still calm.
I couldn't understand his feelings at that moment.
"Okay, show it to me when we get home." I'd hidden our marriage license in a locked drawer. Harrison would never think to look there.
But he agreed so readily, without any hesitation.
The car drove forward, and as I watched the cityscape, tears began to fall.
Regal City looked the same as I remembered, but I had lost everything.
With a criminal record, how would my career progress?
"Don't cry."
A warm hand suddenly covered mine from behind. Harrison hugged me, his fingers gently wiping away my tears.
From this angle, he couldn't see my face.
A simple comfort, but it made me cry even harder.
If I could have all of Harrison 's love now, I would make him feel what I went through.
"If you're my husband, can I trust you?"
I wasn't crying because I felt helpless. I just needed a reason to cover my true intentions—vulnerability, dependence, displaying what he desired.
Harrison held me tighter.
"Of course you can. I'm the only person you can trust."
The car arrived at Blackwood Estate. After getting out, I stood at the door, head down, feeling uneasy.
Harrison gently took my hand, leading me into the villa.
I expected to see Elena.
The villa was very quiet. Martha came out when she heard us, rushing over and hugging me tightly, almost crying.
"Mrs. Sienna Blackwood! Finally, you're back! Don't worry, no other woman will disturb your life with Mr. Harrison Blackwood anymore. You can stay here in peace!"
"Martha!" Harrison 's voice was stern. "Get some food and prepare some freshly washed clothes."
He clearly didn't want me to hear more.
From what Martha said, had Elena already left?
I looked confused and asked, "Another woman? Did you cheat on me?"
"Not exactly." Harrison 's face darkened. "When you recover, I'll explain everything."
To me, Harrison 's words were just excuses.
Because I lost my memory, he didn't even dare to admit it now?
I felt disappointed. "So, you did cheat. If you cheated, what's there to explain?"
"I haven't touched her since being with you." Harrison pursed his lips, still calm. "I needed her as a decoy, but we had many misunderstandings, so I didn't explain to you."
I couldn't see any remorse on his face.
"Why explain now? Because I lost my memory?" I felt my fingertips trembling. "What kind of misunderstanding made you willing to see me suffer?"
Even if it was a misunderstanding, the torment Harrison put me through was real.
