Chapter 61: You Cannot Enter!
Earlier, when I saw that white light from Anthony, the Cancer Twin-Eared Cup gave a little shiver too.
Looks like we were in the right spot.
I grabbed the Cup and pressed it onto one of the incense burners.
In the dim light, three unlit incense sticks in the burner suddenly caught fire!
"What the heck is this?" Teddy got all excited and rushed over to me, staring at the three self-ignited incense sticks.
I paused and glanced up at the three ancestral statues sitting there.
Squinting, I noticed their expressions were still indifferent, like nothing had changed.
Maybe we need to place the Cancer Twin-Eared Cup in the arms of the ancestors?
I was about to try it when one of the ancestors suddenly grinned!
Everyone freaked out, and Bryce quickly led Murray and Teddy to kneel, muttering prayers.
I turned to Lorenzo, "Lorenzo, how do we draw blood from the ancestors?"
"Draw blood?"
Bryce and the others gave me dirty looks for being disrespectful.
I quickly grinned apologetically, and Lorenzo came over, saying, "You can use the Astrological Pulse Mapping, draw blood from the wrist!"
"Got it!" I stepped forward and grabbed the left arm of the grinning ancestor, quickly recalling the Astrological Pulse Mapping in my mind.
But this was my first time using it.
After sorting it out, I placed my fingers on the left arm of the grinning ancestor and was immediately shocked: I could feel the pulse!
"Lorenzo?" I whispered, "This one is alive!"
"Just do it!" Lorenzo snapped at me.
Murray and the others seemed to guess something and wanted to stop me, but Teddy held them back.
I swallowed nervously, noticing that the incense in the burner was already more than halfway consumed—time was ticking away.
Determined, I used the Astrological Pulse Mapping to guide the blood flow, stopping at the wrist, and then pierced the grinning ancestor's wrist with the prepared Starflow Needles!
Bright red blood gushed out, and Lorenzo quickly stepped forward to catch it with the burner.
A few drops of blood fell into the censer, seeping into the bronze incense ash. Moments later, the flames of the three incense sticks blazed brightly, burning quickly.
A few seconds later, the incense burned out, and the ash dissolved into a liquid.
A thumb-sized triangular copper piece appeared at the bottom of the incense burner.
This must be the key.
Teddy somehow appeared beside me and grabbed the key.
After all, it was something left by their ancestors, so I didn't say anything.
"Look! The ancestor!" Alicia suddenly pointed at the grinning ancestor and exclaimed, "The ancestor is disappearing!"
Murray and the others looked gloomily at Alicia, and I quickly looked at the grinning ancestor. His once fair, plump face now looked shriveled and blackened. Squinting, I noticed that the white Justbreeze on his body had vanished.
Another person killed by Justbreeze.
Next, I used the same method to find the other two keys.
The three keys were identical in shape, only differing in size.
Teddy held the three keys but hesitated to open the hidden stone door.
Murray and Bryce were anxious, "Teddy, we already have the keys, what are you waiting for? If we don't find the life-saving item soon, our clan will be wiped out!"
"Okay." Teddy took a deep breath, bypassed the three shriveled ancestors, and approached the hidden stone door.
I took out a few Bloodstones and handed them to Lorenzo, Alicia, and Anthony, just in case.
Teddy reached out to feel the stone door, and soon found three points that matched "The Ancestral Triad" of the three ancestors. Placing the keys on these points, he pressed down gently.
The three keys fit perfectly.
I held my breath, not knowing what we would face once the stone door opened.
A few moments later, the stone door slowly opened, revealing endless darkness. As the door fully opened, countless lights suddenly lit up in the darkness!
These lights varied in size, brightness, and height, floating in the darkness like countless stars in the night sky.
If I was not mistaken, this should correspond to the countless stars in the Cancer constellation, with the 23 brightest ones being The Ancestral Triad.
"It's so beautiful..."
Alicia showed a rare look of girlish longing and tightly held my hand.
"Let's go in and take a look!" Lorenzo got excited and was about to step inside.
But then Teddy spun around and halted us, saying, "No way you're going in!"
