Chapter 43: You're Just Lucky

Hearing me snap back at Gabriel, a few folks couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Gabriel looked embarrassed, his movements already awkward, so he pulled his hand back. "Fine, let's see if you're really lucky this time!"

"Alright." I nodded, "Sir, please take off the ring."

Everyone leaned in, curious to see if I was right.

The man eyed me with a hint of suspicion, likely pondering how I could exude such confidence after only a few glances.

I repeated my request, and the man finally took off the ring from his right ring finger and handed it to me.

I took it, reached into my pocket to scrape off a bit of the Bloodstone, and then pressed it onto the top star of the round ring.

A moment later, a wisp of Sinwaft emerged. I seemed to see an old servant who, after failing to keep his master's secrets, had his tongue cut out, his legs broken, and was thrown onto the street to become a beggar, eventually dying in misery.

And the ring passed down in that servant's family was bought by the middle-aged man in front of me.

I squinted my eyes and saw that the Sinwaft was gone.

The man, seeing that I wasn't speaking, suddenly asked, "So, is there really a problem with this ring?"

Everyone was shocked, and the man was stunned for a moment before bursting into laughter. "Truly amazing!"

He then tightly grasped my hand to express his gratitude. "You are truly amazing, I'll go downstairs to settle your fee right away, you truly live up to being from Fortune Antiques, your skills are absolutely remarkable!"

He thought I was from the Caldwell family, and I quickly waved my hand. "You're too kind, You can keep the ring on, but remember to watch what you say and never spill secrets. Also, I'm a junior of Mr. Caldwell, not from Fortune Antiques, I'm just here to learn, no charge!"

I was telling the truth, but Gabriel's expression was very serious.

The man gave me a thumbs-up, handed me a business card, and left.

I noticed that Bruno didn't look too pleased either; maybe he originally thought I was just lucky, but he didn't expect my move would make Gabriel feel ashamed.

Gabriel, naturally, wouldn't give in. With his "Astrological Pulse Mapping" technique, he could easily pinpoint the symptoms.

"Next!" He called the next guest.

The next person was a plump woman, her belly was even bigger than a basketball, very noticeable.

"Oh— it hurts." The woman struggled to sit in the chair. "It's been over a month, and in just two days, my belly became this big. I thought I was pregnant or had a tumor, went to several hospitals, but none could find anything."

Gabriel didn't immediately start, but glanced at me.

I wasn't polite either, squinting at the woman, and was surprised to find no traces of Sinwaft.

Gabriel, seeing me silent, teased, "What's up? Out of luck this time? Can't figure out where it went wrong?"

I shrugged, not speaking.

Gabriel didn't wait any longer, had the woman extend her right arm, and used the "Astrological Pulse Mapping" technique again.

About two minutes later, Gabriel's fingertips stopped at the woman's right wrist, gently pinching.

"Oh— it hurts!" The woman immediately cried out in pain, sweat dripping from her forehead.

Gabriel took out a stone corresponding to the human torso from his pocket and pressed it just below the woman's chest.

In an instant, I saw a wisp of white mist float out!

It appeared that the woman's symptoms weren't due to Sinwaft, but rather Justbreeze- a scent completely opposite to that of Sinwaft!

Earlier, I had mistakenly assumed it was Sinwaft, which caused me to overlook the brief presence of Justbreeze.

The stone in Gabriel's hand quivered slightly, and Gabriel beamed with joy, realizing he had healed the woman.

But I saw that the Justbreeze was only trapped by the stone for a few seconds before it darted back into the woman's belly!

"Wow? It really feels much better!" The woman held her belly and stood up, feeling her belly had returned to normal, and walked a few steps.

People started whispering. "The Caldwell family is really amazing, that boy was just lucky earlier!"

"Yes, people like that rely on luck to deceive others, who knows how many people they've harmed!"

"Exactly, Mr. Caldwell shows real skill with just one move!"

Gabriel looked smug. "Dennis, I told you, relying on luck isn't enough, you need real skill to last!"

Alicia couldn't help but retort. "What are you talking about, whether it's luck or not, being able to cure people is a real skill! Dennis is just being modest!"

Gabriel smiled without speaking, Lorenzo pulled Alicia aside, just about to say something, when the woman who had just been cured suddenly exclaimed. "Oh— why is the pain returning, even more intense than before, oh— it's unbearable!"
