Angel

The moment I saw Thea step into the church, my entire world froze, time stopped like it never did before. I could hear myself gasp so clearly, the way my heart raced, I could even swear that I heard the way my blood flowed through my veins. That was how quiet the world around me went so that I could concentrate on what matters, on the one person that mattered the most....

Thea.

She was otherworldly, she was the prettiest human on earth. No one, I meant absolutely no one could compare, no one could beat her beauty in my eyes. Her soul was the purest and her love was the purest form of love I had experienced in a human.

She had come into my life and completely captivated me, without my permission, without holding back at how much love she could make me feel for her.

She was the essence in my existence. She was everything to me.

I was the luckiest man on earth to have her standing before me, confessing her love to love me despite everything. I was the luckiest to have her be my wife.

She mouthed the same words 'I love you' to me and I couldn't keep it in. The tears I had tried my hardest to hold back from the moment I saw her came flooding my eyes. I dipped my head but when I raised my head and parted my lips to speak my vows.

Tears flowed uncontrollably.

"Angel...." She whispered, moved to tears herself.

"I'm ready." I said and took a deep breath before I started speaking.

"You're the best part of me Thea." I said and took a pause to catch my breath amidst my tears. My voice was quite shaky. I let out air gradually through my mouth and resumed again. "You're my entire existence Thea. My mind, my heart, my body, my soul exist in it's full capacity because you're a part of it.

I want to be your husband, a father to your kids. I want you to wake up everyday and choose me." I said and paused for a moment to savour her beauty and digest all over again the fact that she was finally mine.

"Oh gosh! I'm so lucky." I couldn't help but express my gratitude admist my vow.

"I can't believe how blessed I am to still have you by my side.

Thea, I want you to know that you're the most important person in my life and you'll always be.

You've shaped my life in ways I never imagined. Only God can forgive the things I've done and he didn't just do that. He gave me you.

The best part.

Can't even believe it's real. To be finally able to call you my wife, mother of my kids.

"Thea, I'm not leaving you, ever. I promise you this day that I'll love you through anything in this life.

Anything Thea....

It's just amazing how much I can love you. It almost feels unreal.

I'll love you the way you want to be loved, the way I know how to love you and I'll find more ways I can show you how to be loved.

I'll give every piece of me Thea. I'm all yours, for life." I sucked in a breath as my body shook from the intensity of my words.

" I love you to pieces Thea. To my bones, to every pore of my skin. When I breath I fall in love with you even more.

I adore you with every fibre of my being. I love you till death, I'll protect you with everything in me. I'd lay my life for you over and over again.

You have no idea just how much of a boundary I'm willing to push to show you just how much I love you and will love.

It's always going to be you till the very last drop of my blood, to my very last breath.

You mean the world to me Thea.

All I ask from the Lord is to keep you for me till your grey and the grace to keep loving you as your soul desires." I said shaking all through it. The last drop of tears fell off my eyes and Thea couldn't stop herself from tearing up more as well.

A standing and clapping ovation was made but the sounds were faint in my ears.

Thea was the only one in my eyes right now.

The priest couldn't hold back and acknowledged how moved he was with our vows to each other and it brought laughter to us.

He continued the program, pronouncing us husband and wife and soon he got to my favourite part.

"You may kiss the bride." He said and I could feel my heart drum with so much love and my eyes narrow with deep need for Thea's lips. We stared at each other deeply for some seconds and took a step to each other. I could see Thea become shy gradually and for the first time, she averted my gaze but I took two more steps towards her then my hand traced to the back of her waist.

"Won't you look at your husband, wife?" I asked and she raised her head slowly to meet my gaze. My eyes darted at hers and slowly, I pulled in, matching my nose with her. It tickled at the tip but soon I was taken over by incredible sparks of pleasure. I heard her moan and I attempted a kiss on her lips but pulled away slightly while she ached forward as her need for my lips came strongly.

"Easy, I take the lead, wife." I said smiling.

" Kiss me already, husband." She whispered back and I bit my lip, smiling at the way she called me husband.

Husband, I didn't think anything could sound sweeter in her mouth other than my name but this was a discovery. It was the sweetest thing she ever said after 'I love you' of course.

I tugged her closer to me, bending her slightly while towering above her. I stiffened at the way I felt from coming in contact with her body.

Jeez! I hope I didn't get a boner here.

I let my hand trace to the back of her neck then I pulled her face closer to mine, taking one last look at her eyes and lips before brushing my lips against hers.

I felt her shrink under my hold and an involuntary moan escaped her lips. I chuckled into her mouth and bit her lower lip before I took her lips completely and kissed her mercilessly. Tilting her head from side to side, kissing her so deep, sucking everything I could and giving her enough of me to suck too. Tangling our tongues in each other's mouth.

I held her firmly making sure she didn't slip from my hold while our kiss went on. I didn't care how intense our kiss was, I just couldn't stop myself from ravaging her lips completely and the silent moans that left her mouth were music to my ears but then I let out a loud groan and just then a voice cleared audibly before us and we slowly broke our kiss.

I pulled into her lips wanting more of it but I could see she was exercising so much restrain.

Angel, behave.

I warned myself within. There was so much left to be done, We were one now, she wasn't running away, all I had to do was be patient.

Thea's lips stick was completely ruined by our intense kiss and I was pleased at what I had done.

We finally looked at the crowd and beneath their supportive smiles I could see the awkward looks. We obviously made them uncomfortable.

That's why you don't say kiss the bride in a church, leave that for the reception because people like me would totally devour the lips of our bride in front of everyone that cared to watch.

That wasn't what mattered right now. Thea was what mattered and she was now my wife.

I was the happiest man, I could swear it that on this day, I was indeed the happiest man.
