Chapter 462

It had been a month since Camila's wedding with Caspian. My bestfriend had been at her happiest ever since that day. I'd call it the wedding glow. She was now a wife and mother and had her family, I bet it was everything to her. I was so happy for Camila but now it was my turn.

The had been involved through all the step of my wedding preparation as well as the men. They assisted Angel with everything making our work easier.

It brought us even more closer, and I enjoyed sharing those moments with them.

I loved going to check my wedding dress with them especially.

Mum had wanted to go dress fitting with me so bad, so I took her along with the girls for every appointment and I was glad I did because it brought mum and the girls closer to each other.

Mum had even started Calling Camila and Cassandra her daughters and my sisters.

She finally understood how fun and joyful my life was at the mansion when she saw how the girls and I were and how much we loved each other.

Mum had even offered the girls to come over at the house and stay with me for my wedding preparation.

Since Angel and I couldn't stay in the same house on the day of our wedding, I had to stay over at mum's place.

So, for the past one week, I had been at mum's place with Cassandra. Camila arrived three days ago with Casimir and I couldn't be any happier to have my people with me.

Finally, today had come, the day I got married to the love of my life, the day I became one with my one true love, with my Angel....

Angel and I had spoken on length at night and despite the girls and my mum had warned me to keep it short so I didn't wake up with tired eyes the next day, I disregarded their warnings and enjoyed every second of my call with Angel.

My eyes were clogged with sleep and I felt heavy and lazy to leave the bed when I woke up.

I heard my door open and it became noisy in here.

"It's your wedding day!" Cassandra yelled pulling my bedsheet away from my body and cold air swept over my body.

I still needed to sleep more but it was no one's fault that I slept late.

"Ten more minutes please...." I pleaded in my sleepy voice but they weren't letting me off. Cassandra jumped on my bed and I felt it dip slightly.

"Wake up! Wake up Thea!" She yelled shaking me hard on the bed. She disorganized me and I felt a bit dizzy from all the shaking.

I cried out softly, whining like a kid then I sat up abruptly.

"Oh.... Did my favourite bride not get enough sleep?" Cassandra said palming my cheek and feigning concern whereas in reality she was mocking me.

"Camila...." I cried in a baby tone stretching my hand out to her. She had just stood by my bed smiling tge entire time with Casimir in her hand.

"I'm carrying your godson Thea, I can't baby you too." She said and I saw Casimir make a crying face.

"Oh no.... I wasn't going to tell mummy to leave you Casimir." I quickly apologized and his face went back to normal, he made the same crying face a few seconds after before finally settling for a normal face.

"Give him to me Camila, I want to feel my godson in my arms." I said and she climbed the bed, carefully carrying him till she kept him in my arms.

Casimir stared at me with a slight frown and it broke my heart to see him that way.

"Did I do something wrong? Why won't he smile!" I said in a teary voice.

" Sometimes I wonder who is the baby between you and Casimir. He frowns and you want to frown?" Camila said and Cassandra found it funny as she began to laugh. Just then Casimir gave me a smile.

"Did you see that? He smiled!" I said excitedly and his smile broadened.

Camila chuckled and her gaze bore admiration but I didn't know if it was for me or Casimir.

"Thea," she called and I hummed a reply. "I'm so happy for you." She said, her eyes glistening with tears. Mine stung with tears as well while Cassandra sighed raising her head up and blinking her tears back.

"Girls, it's too early to start the crying. If we continue like this we'll be left with no tears when the wedding starts.

Cassandra said and we all laughed, and just some seconds after that, my phone began to ring. I reached out for it and my heart skipped a beat seeing it was Angel calling. I stole a quick glance at the girls and Cassandra was staring right into my eyes, a warning glare shooting from her eyes.

"Who's that?" She asked, already stretching her hand for me to hand over the phone. I shook my head and held the phone close to my chest.

They wouldn't let me answer the call so that there was no more delay.

"Do you even have to ask? That must be Angel." Camila said and before I could suggest reasons why I should pick the call, Cassandra moved swiftly and dragged the phone from my hand.

"Cassie...." I whined kicking my legs slightly. I couldn't pursue her because I had to be careful with Casimir.

"Yes, hello brother." She answered the call and turned back to look at me. I mouthed asking her to hand the phone while stretching my hands for it but she ignored me and left the bed.

I hissed but couldn't do anything about it.

"Oh Thea?" She kept talking with Angel. "She's here, too lazy to leave the bed and prepare for her big day with you. At this rate...." She said and her lips curved into a sly smile. "She might not be ready on time to marry you brother. So it will be in your best interest to let her start preparing. I'm sure you kept her awake the entire night." She said and hung up the call. I was certain she didn't even let Angel speak.

I felt sorry for him. I knew how desperate I was to speak to him this morning, I couldn't imagine how it was for him.

"Alright get up, quick! Get up!" She said, clapping her hands and hastening me up.

Angel didn't stop calling but no one would let me pick the call.

They watched me keenly as I prepared myself. I had just finished brushing my teeth when the door opened and my mum took a peek through it.

"Hey... Honey." She called in the softest tone and I ran to her as if she'd save me from the girls.

"Mum...." I called and hugged her. She welcomed me into her embrace stroking my hair.

"Is everything okay my love?" She asked and I shook my head. She pulled my face out and looked at me with concern etched on her face. I felt like a baby in front of her.

"What's wrong Thea, speak to me honey." She said getting all serious.

" Ma'am Louisa is getting worked up for something that ain't serious." Cassie whispered but to our hearing.

" Girls....?" Mum called giving them a quzzical look and they both shrugged.

"They won't let me speak to Angel." I complained and she sighed in relieve before letting out a chuckle.

"Oh that...." Mum said casually. "That's why I'm here. Angel called, said you weren't talking to him." Mum said and I frowned a little.

" That's Cassie's fault." I pushed the blame where it rightly belonged. " She took my phone." I couldn't believe I was whining like a teenager now.

"It's fine my love. I'm sure they don't want you to get distracted." She said and walked to Cassie giving her a signal with her eyes to hand over the phone. Cassie huffed and retrieved the phone from her pocket then handed it to mum. I was excited.

"Thanks Cassie." She said and turned to me while I waited eagerly for her to hand me the phone.

"And I also don't want you to get distracted," she said not handing the phone to me and a frown wrinkled my face. " So I'm just going to keep this until you're done with prepping for the wedding." Mum said and left ignoring the little fit I threw.

The girls didn't give me a break too.

"Time for a very light breakfast." Cassie said and I hissed but still followed her lead.

The morning had gone gradually and I had my make up done once the make up artist arrived as well as my hair.

The girls were with me all through.

Finally we were done and Ari, the make up artist turned my seat so that I faced the girls.

Their gasp was collective making me blush from ear to ear.

"You're the most gorgeous bride ever to exist, Thea," Camila said, in tears as she admired me.

"Come on, don't make me cry." I said fanning my face as I felt tears glistened in my eyes. Camila came closer and took my hand rubbing it in hers. She looked emotional as well then she knelt and hugged me.

"Thank you for being my best friend, Thea." Camila said also, taking my other hand. "You're my sister, and I love you to my last breath." She said and my face squeezed like I was about to cry.

"I love you, Camila." I said the words back to her and she hugged me as well.

"Thank you for choosing to be my sister-in-law." Cassandra said as well and I let out a mixture of laugh and cry.

"We are family," Camila said.

"We'll always be family," Cassie added.

"I love you all so much." I said and hugged them both at the same time.

"Angel will be frozen when he sees you," Camila whispered and a smile lengthened my lips. They both stood up and that was when Ari excused herself after watching with smiles all over her face about our emotional display.

Florentine had called Camila so she could speak with me since she couldn't get through my phone.

"Today is for you Thea." She started over the phone. "Enjoy every bit of it. Savour the moment, because it's only this once you get a wedding with the love of your life. The rest are anniversaries," Florentine advised and I nodded appreciating her words all too well.

"My brother is so lucky to have you." Cassie said. She wasn't tired of saying it. I was lucky to have Angel, she was missing that part as well.

"Stop it, guys. You both are going to ruin my makeup." I said tilting my head up and blinking back my tears.

"Like you did mine, Thea. It's payback time." Camila said feeling proud about it and we all laughed about it.

"You know we love you, Thea," Cassie said.

"No one deserves this more than you do," Camila added.

"You're strong, Thea, the strongest I know. Camila said. They really had so much to say to me and words they wished to emphasize on. They were making my head swell and cracking me up every now and then.

My mum had also come to see how I looked. I had already fit into my wedding gown and was fully presented to her.

"Mum," I said, and she turned to look at me and instantly teared up. "Mum," I almost teared up too but held it back for the sake of my make up. It was just impossible not to feel emotional with the kind of people I had as family.

Mum was astonished at how I looked. She couldn't even hide it or keep it low.

"I'm not going to lie. I should be biased because you're my daughter, but I can't even be, because the truth speaks for itself. You're the most beautiful bride I've ever seen, my love." She confessed melting my heart.

"Mum..."

"I am so lucky to be your mother and to experience this moment with you. I can't wait for you to finally be married to the love of your life." She said and I nodded feeling tears on my eyes again. I blinked severally to pull it back.

Gosh! Ari still needed to retouch my face. Infact, she had to retouch it every minute because someone had something emotional to say to me and with the memories of how far Angel and I had come, it was too difficult not to cry.

"Thank you, Mum. For choosing to forgive and accept us."

"I'll do anything for you, Thea. You're my whole life, my love." She said and

caressed my cheeks.

"Thank you for choosing your happiness first. You turned out to be better than I could have ever imagined. Be happy, my love. Mummy will always be here for you. Now, go ahead, don't keep your husband waiting." She said and I was escorted downstairs, meeting Scott at the base of the stair. He was the father of the day, and had his hand held out for me to take.

Scott took my hand as the father of the day.

"You're absolutely stunning Thea. I don't think I've ever seen a bride more beautiful." Scott praised me causing me to blush harder. Everyone took making me feel special very seriously.

I was super grateful.
