Chapter 90 Ninety
Chapter 90 Ninety
AMELIA XAVIER
Neither father nor Owen spoke about the incident the other night, and I didn't want to bring it up. Owen recuperated quicker than I expected and it was time to leave.
I wounded my way to the basement practicing my speech for dad. I was going to tell him how much of an asshole he was and leave, but as soon as I stepped into the basement, every word practiced in my head disappeared, so I said, “hi.”
Father looked up at me and gave a small smile. Sighing, I walked to where he sat and planted my ass on the table.
“I'm leaving.”
I watched for a change in expression, but found none.
Typical Xavier.
Then he asked, his eyes staring into my face, “So soon? You only just came.”
“I meant it when I said I'll be leaving immediately Owen gets better,” I reminded him, finality in my voice.
“I'm sorry about Owen. I let my anger get to me, he was being a jerk,” father said, the corner of his lips tilting.
My eyes snapped shut, my mind trying to think about all that had happened so far. Father was being his usual self, that was being too protective of me and Owen probably said something that made him snap.
“It's fine, dad, I'll call as soon as I reach Paris, and try to get along with him — Owen I mean,” I assured kissing his temple.
“Go on, he must be waiting, and I'll try to get along.”
I turned to leave, but stopped when I reached the exit.
“I expect smooth sailing from now on, yes?”
Father chuckled, standing to his feet. He picked up his cigarette box, took out one and lit it.
I watched as he took a long drag before puffing out the smoke.
“You never know what's coming, sweetheart. You never know,” he answered as I left the room.
We had eliminated all threats to the house and made few alliances, I was certain there would be no more trouble.
“We're safe,” I assured myself leaving the basement.
Owen squatted, talking with Milan. They seemed to get along just fine and that was pleasing. Annie stood a distance away watching them intently as though she was waiting for any of them to make a mistake.
I waved at Owen and he smiled, his eyes glistening in the sun.
I walked over to them, tackling Milan till I caught him. “You're good, you should be an athlete!”
I expected him to smile, instead he frowned sulking.
“I'm going to take over father's business, I can't be an athlete!” He said stunning me for a minute.
I smiled widely, running my hand over his smooth hair and disarranging them. Father hadn't told him about my plan to take over the business, except if he didn't want to believe it or maybe…
My eyes widened at the thought of it, father never planned to make me his heir.
I sighed pushing the negative thoughts aside.
I returned my attention to Milan, “Still doesn't change the fact that you're a good athlete!” He giggled in affirmation.
“Don't forget to call, and stay safe. I need to go see someone…” he said running before I could say a word.
Annie came to me and pulled me in. “Be safe. If there's any problem, don't forget to call home, but I don't think that'll be necessary.” She glanced over at Owen, and smiled.
“I better get going,” she muttered, turning away from me and walking into the house.
“Let's go home.”
I slumped on the bed heaving wearily. The smell of Owen's perfume clouded my mind as he entered the room.
“You're tired, you should rest,” he said, removing his suit jacket.
“That's exactly what I'm doing.” I sat up watching him loosen his tie and fold it neatly.
“I have a lot to catch up on, so I'll make something nice for you then go to the study,” he explained struggling with the buttons of his shirt.
“Work. Work. Work, come on, sweetheart,” I cooed sucking in air to keep from laughing at him as he struggled with the buttons.
“These damn buttons,” he cursed, fidgeting with it.
I stood from the bed and came to him. “I'll do it, dimwit,” I muttered, carefully unbuttoning the shirt.
My fingers cautiously worked on the buttons until they all came free.
“Merci,” he said, pressing his lips against my hair. I removed the shirt, my fingers gently playing with his chest.
“If you want me to accept the thanks, then do it properly,” I whispered, still playing with the muscles on his body.
Suddenly, he pulled me in smacking my ass. A loud gasp escaped my lips, my heart raced faster than usual.
“You really know how to get what you want, pumpkin,” he growled softly, pushing me to the wall. He gripped my waist tightly and smashed his lips on mine.
Pinching my butt, I parted my lips and he slid his tongue into my mouth.
I groaned softly, loving the taste of his mouth.
Chocolate.
“Fuck me,” I whispered clawing at his back. I dug my nails into his skin and he purred, grinding my thigh with his.
“Beg me.”
“Fuck you,” I cursed and he chuckled sending currents of pleasure round me.
“Still beg.”
He cupped my breast, caressing it with his fingers. A familiar hunger rose and I couldn't take it any longer, but…
“We both want this, so I'm not begging,” I muttered tears wailing in my eyes.
Just beg, you fool.
I cursed internally, clutching him tighter, begging him to devour me and he knew I wanted him, but that fool wasn't going to give me the pleasure of having him.
“Then you'll suffer,” he smirked, pulling my gown and thrusting his fingers into me.
I gasped, tears running down my face.
He was exerting his dominance and I liked it, but this was torture — how could he torture me this way.
He went deeper into me, and the tears kept coming.
“Please… please fuck me… I give up, I need you.” I saw that smug look on his face. He grinned.
“With pleasure.”
Owen decided work would wait, and was in the kitchen making dinner.
I sat in the sitting room, the news playing.
“The Norman's decide to bury the hatchet, and make peace with the Russians… the Winter wedding was all a ruse to corner Lyon Gates…” I sighed bored of the news.
A few minutes later, Owen came in with a plate of chocolate cake neatly sliced and my type of coffee.
“You're trending all over the internet Owen, you're literally on every news-” I motioned my hand towards the TV. He laughed, taking a slice of cake to feed me.
“Dylan Xavier debunks rumours of Amy's pregnancy with Owen Winters…”
We chuckled at the news knowing how true it was.
Just as we were deep in our ecstasy, the reporter's voice came on much louder.
“Ari Xavier makes a comeback and takes over the former house of the Xavier's!”
My heart skipped.
Who the fuck was Ari Xavier?
