I'm running late for my job. Mia left without waking me up. Oh god, why is she keeping doing this every day? Now I don't have time to take a bath.

As I am walking in at the bakery, Mr. James welcomes me with a smile.

"I'm sorry, Mr. James. " I told him.

"Don't worry, let's start. The customers are waiting," he said.

He has a heart of gold, and I got very lucky to find this job. I don't earn much, but Mia's salary is enough to pay for our house.

*Yes, we are* My wolf agreed with me.

Did I forget to mention that I'm a werewolf? Oh yes, I'm. But no one knows except Mia, of course, which is also a werewolf. My magic necklace keeps my scent a secret, and all think that I'm human. This is for the best.

 I can't let anybody find out about it. The only ones knew were my old pack, and they are all dead now because they tried to protect me from a rogue attack.

For the last two years, I hide my identity. I don't know what will happen when I find my mate. I hope I will not, but I'm now 19 years old, and I'm already one year late for this. All of our kind found their mates when they turned 18, but here in a human city, I don't know if it's possible. Mia hopes that one day she will find her mate and keep herself for him like me.

When my shift is over, I head back home, there I find Mia watching tv, and at times like that, I think that I'm genuinely blessed to have her 

*Yes, i love her too.* 

*Hello there Aria! Where have you been?*

*I'm always here.*  She mocked me.  *I had a weird feeling all day*

 *Why?*

*I don't know something will happen soon.*

*What? Are we in danger?*

*No, it's different, don't worry.*

"Earth to Ella." Mia screamed beside me.

" Sorry, my wolf.. is worrying about something, and now I'm worried too." I told her, and I walked to sit on the sofa.

"Weird. Mine too. Maybe we will find our mates soon." She said, and I looked at her, not having words to express myself.

"Come on, Ella! It's going to be ok. Our mates will love us."

"It's dangerous for me and I don't think he will not be able to scene me."

"Then it's time to take off this necklace and release your scent."

"NO." I tell her in panic. "Don't forget what happened. It's dangerous if they find me."

Mia is looking at me with a sad look, and she shaked her head.

"Whatever, I will go to prepare dinner."

"Ok. " I told her and she disappears in the kitchen. 

I turn my gaze at the tv to keep my mind busy. I don't know if I want to find my mate. My mother always told me that the mate bond is powerful and you can't resist once you find your mate. I'm without a pack for two years, and I want to have one again. I know Mia wants it too, but she doesn't talk about it. She seem so carefree but i know her better, after all we grew up together, she is like the sister i never had.

 It's very dangerous to be a rogue because other packs might attack you. That's why we decided to settle down in the human city at first to avoid passing by other packs, but it's getting lonely. Especially for me,because I am an alpha's daughter and my wolf feel way more uncomfortable without a pack.
