Episode 31

★Alpha Jesse★

We were eagerly awaiting the arrival of Alpha Jackie and Silva, when Justin whispered to me that he spotted Alpha Jackie approaching.

Following Justin's direction, I saw Alpha Jackie being escorted by two other gentlemen.

"Finally, he's arrived," I exclaimed, a smile spreading across my face.

"Kase, please go quickly and ask UK and Ariana to finish setting up the dining room if there are still things left to arrange," I whispered to Kase. Kase nodded in agreement and hurried off to deliver the message.

As I was speaking with Kase, my friend Jackie approached me and greeted me warmly. "It's great to see you, my friend! It's been such a long time since we've seen each other!" she exclaimed as we embraced each other happily.

"Welcome to my pack, my highly esteemed guest. I've been eagerly awaiting your arrival and it fills me with gratitude to see you here," I said, beaming with joy.

"Don't be modest, my friend. I am the one who should be overjoyed to see you, and for keeping your promise too!" he replied, his face lighting up with happiness.

It was clear to me that he was equally as thrilled as I was about his upcoming mating with my daughter, and I myself was filled with happiness at the prospect.

"Come on, let's head inside," I said as I gestured towards the entrance. They entered the house, while I stayed behind, hoping for Silva's presence. After all, dining without Silva was simply unthinkable.

"Kase, would you please go and fetch Silva? And when you return, please come directly to the dining area," I instructed, to which he nodded in agreement.

"Okay," Kase replied before leaving to call Silva. I hurried to catch up with my in-laws.

When we arrived at the dining area, everything was already arranged. Each of us took our seats, and I found myself facing Jackie. Arianna and UK began to serve the food to everyone around the table. The aroma alone was enough to make one's mouth water.

Once Jackie's food was served, I watched as he prepared to eat.

He took a spoonful of the food, and I could see how much he was enjoying it.

"Is it to your liking?" I asked, to which he nodded.

"Absolutely! This is super delicious. Did my princess make this?" he inquired, referring to Lucia.

Although Lucia had no hand in preparing the meal, I didn't want to tell him the truth. So I smiled and replied, "Yes, she's quite skilled in the kitchen."

"Then I need not worry about good food!" he exclaimed, as we all smiled.

Soon, Silva and Kase arrived and joined us. Arianna, who had been standing in the corner, came over to serve them their own food.

"Silva, what took you so long? You should have been quicker, you know!" I whispered to him in a hushed tone.

"I'm sorry about that," Silva apologized. I nodded in response and patted him on the back.

★SILVA★

I feel like I'm just adding to the confusion tonight. I'm still wondering where Lucia could be.

I'm considering how to break the news to him without raising suspicion.

It's not my responsibility to keep an eye on her; that's supposed to be Arianna's job.

But I'm willing to bet that Arianna doesn't know where Lucia is either.

What confuses me the most is that nobody seems to be bothered by her absence. Am I the only one who noticed that she's missing?

Alternatively, I could conclude that perhaps Alpha Jesse took her somewhere she needed to be until her presence is required.

But what on earth could Alpha Jesse be doing that the others know about, but I don't?

This is quite strange, but I'll keep an eye on the situation.

"So... where is she? Where is my princess? Bring her over so she can join us for dinner," Jackie finally requested.

As soon as Alpha Jesse made that statement, he turned to look at me, causing my heart to skip a beat. I had assumed that I would be the one tasked with finding her, but I didn't want to be involved in any complications regarding her.

Fortunately, I felt relieved when I realized that his gaze was just a passing glance and nothing more.

He looked at Ariana and said, "Go call Lucia for me." I anticipated Ariana responding that she didn't know Lucia's whereabouts.

Instead, she confidently replied, "Okay Alpha," and promptly left the dining room.

I was taken aback by her response, as she seemed to know exactly where Lucia was. I decided to wait for Ariana to return with Lucia before forming any conclusions.

★ ARIANA ★

I hurried to Lucia's room and knocked on the door. "Lucia, are you there?" I called out, continuing to knock.

Despite my persistent knocking, there was no response from her. I assumed that she must be sleeping soundly, so I took the liberty of entering her room without her permission.

Given that Lucia is not a harsh person, I felt comfortable entering her room without her permission. However, if it had been Diana, I wouldn't have dared to enter without permission.

Upon entering, I discovered that Lucia was nowhere to be found. I was surprised and wondered where she could be.

I remembered her usual spot, where she often sits and chats with Logan, so I headed there to see if she was there.

I thought that if Lucia wasn't in her room, then she must be at her usual spot chatting with Logan. However, upon reaching the location, she was nowhere to be found.

I began to feel overwhelmed and wondered where to start looking for Lucia. With the large number of people at the pack tonight, finding her would be difficult, especially if she was celebrating with others.

The situation had become complicated, and I couldn't help but ask myself, "Where could she be?"

"I believe it would be best if I report back to Alpha Jesse," I concluded. Reporting to him would prompt him to order others to assist me in searching for her.

Without delay, I hurried back to the dining room to inform him of the situation.

★LUCIA★

"I have prepared this place for us to have a wonderful evening, and I guarantee that nobody will find us here," I reassured Logan as he took my hand and kissed me.

"This place is absolutely stunning," he remarked, admiring my design.

I have a talent for it, so we are at remote location in the woods that I had designed specifically for the two of us.

I have been eagerly preparing for this day, and now that it has arrived, I have decorated everything to perfection.

"Come on, let's take a seat," I said to Logan as we headed over to the mat I had laid out.

As Logan was sitting down, he suddenly fell over, and I burst out laughing, thinking it was a normal occurrence.

"Haha, you're weak! Come on, get up," I said, still laughing as I reached out to grab his hand and help him back onto his feet.

I felt his hand vibrating violently, and I was taken aback. "Are you okay, Logan? Come on, get up!" I said as I tried to assist him with both my hands.

But then, he let out a loud roar, his eyes turning dark, and I was filled with fear.

"Logan, what's going on? Is this some kind of joke?" I asked tentatively, slowly backing away from him.

He leaped at me as I managed to doge his attack and began running away as he chases me.

I don't fucking know what the hell is going on anymore.
