Arya.
I woke up to the morning light filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the room. The sheets crinkled beneath me as I shifted, finding myself alone in the bed. Tyler wasn't there. The empty space beside me echoed with the remnants of our shared warmth from the night before.
The scent of something delicious wafted into the room, stirring my senses and prompting my stomach to growl in response.
A smile tugged at the corners of my lips as I remembered the events of the previous night – our lovemaking had been so intense that it had left me blissfully exhausted, leading to a deep, uninterrupted sleep.
Tyler.
Warmth filled my skin as I recalled my orgasm and the sensation of him inside me.
As if summoned by my musings, the door creaked open, and there he was – Tyler, bearing a food tray with a confident grin on his face. “Good morning, beautiful," he greeted, the endearment heating my cheeks. "breakfast in bed, at your service, ma'am."
Tyler set the food tray on the bedside table, and I took in the sight of a decadent breakfast – a feast of fresh fruits, bacon, pastries, and steaming coffee. I chuckled at his playful demeanor. "All these for me?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at the spread before me.
"All for you, my little one," he affirmed, his gaze lingering on me as he settled on the edge of the bed. The intensity in his eyes made my heart skip a beat, and I couldn't help but blush under his scrutiny.
He grinned, his eyes twinkling with satisfaction. "Only the best for mine." Tyler reached for a croissant, breaking off a piece and offering it to me. As I took a bite, I couldn't help but marvel at the simple joy of sharing a meal with someone who made my heart race.
"You look even more delicious this morning."
He leaned in, capturing my lips in a deep kiss. The magnetic pull between us was undeniable, and I melted into the warmth of his embrace. Breaking the kiss, I teased, "Going to work so soon?" My eyes trailed down his work attire, appreciating the allure of his rugged charm. "You're look so sexy."
A low chuckle escaped his lips, and he shot me a smoldering look. "Trying to get me to stay?" he replied huskily, wiggling his eyebrows with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Is it working?" I asked, my laughter filling the air.
"Just a little bit," he kissed my forehead. "You'll be the death of me if I let my primal instincts take over."
I couldn't help but revel in the warmth of his presence, the easy banter that defined our relationship. "What are your plans for today?" he asked, grabbing a piece of bacon from the tray.
"I have a training session with Nate today," I said, stifling a yawn. "He's helping me control my powers."
"Ugh. Wish I could see that," he chuckled, and I couldn't resist rolling my eyes playfully.
"And I was wondering if I could spend the day at Natalie's bakery," I continued, "but it seems like a busy day for her. I don't want to be a bother."
Tyler's eyes softened as he listened, his love evident in every gaze he directed my way. "You, my love, are not, and will never be a bother."
I couldn't help but smile, feeling the sincerity in his words. "You're my Luna," he said, pulling me into another playful kiss, "You command respect now. Never forget that."
"I won't." I whispered against his lips, savoring the closeness.
Tyler's brows furrowed. "What about the outing with Lauren?"
He joined me on the bed, concern etched on his face. "How about you take a walk through the city with her? Talk about us, observe her demeanor. I don't really trust her enough to let you go on an outing with her. I can't afford to lose you."
I sighed, recognizing the depth of his concern. "You're serious," I said, looking into his eyes. "You won't lose me, baby."
His worry seemed to ease a bit, and he smiled. "I just want to make sure everything's okay. As much as Lauren's asking for forgiveness, I don't think I can fully trust her with you.”
My heart melted at his sincerity. "I appreciate that, Tyler. But you have to trust me too. I'll take a walk with Lauren, and I'll be careful."
He nodded, still wearing a protective expression. "Promise me you'll be safe."
"I promise," I assured him, as I leaned in, kissing him deeply as he growled in pleasure.
I smiled warmly as I felt his arousal. "At this point, will you be going to work?" I teased pressing against his arousal as I smiled wickedly at him.
"You little minx." He groaned at my attempts at seduction, grabbing my bottom and squeezing hard.
"But I'm already late for a really important meeting, Little One." He replied winking at me as he released me with a kiss to my forehead."Have fun at your outing. Don't forget to tease the hell out of Lauren. I'll see you tonight."
The Rogue warrior training ground was a chaotic symphony of growls, yelps, and the unmistakable clatter of claws against the hardened earth. It felt like stepping into the heart of a storm, the air charged with energy and the fervor of wolves honing their combat skills.
Nathan, my mentor, was somewhere in the midst of it, barking orders at a group of training wolves.
I approached cautiously, observing the clashes between warriors of varying expertise. Some were seasoned veterans, their movements precise and calculated, while others, like me, were novices navigating the tumult under the watchful eyes of their mentors.
Nathan noticed my arrival and flashed a friendly smile, waving me over. With a nod to one of his subordinates, he delegated the supervision duties and made his way toward me. His muscular frame exuded confidence, a stark contrast to my own jittery nerves.
"This looks like a lot of work," I commented as he reached my side, unable to tear my eyes away from the intense training session.
"Yeah, it is. Are you up for it?" he asked, his gaze assessing my determination.
"Do I have a choice?" I quipped, attempting to mask my anxiety with a wry smile.
"Alright then," he replied, turning away from the ongoing training. "Follow me."
I trailed behind him, the ambient sounds of the training grounds gradually fading as we entered a separate, smaller training space.
"So, how do we start?" I inquired, the weight of uncertainty evident in my voice.
Nathan faced me, his expression thoughtful. "First things first, Luna. Changing. It's a wolf's signature ability. You need control over it."
The mention of changing, the transformation between human and wolf, sent a shiver down my spine.
"Watch closely," Nathan instructed, a glint of determination in his eyes. With a fluid motion, he began to change. The fur sprouted, muscles shifted, and within moments, the man before me transformed into a magnificent wolf. The process was seamless, a testament to his proficiency.
My awe was interrupted by Nathan's voice, now emanating from the wolf before me. "It's all about focus.
Shifting back to human form, naked, he said "Picture the change in your mind, feel the shift in your body. It becomes second nature with practice."
However, the thought of changing in front of others, as he had just done, left me uneasy.
"Changing in front of others gets easier with time," Nathan reassured, as if sensing my apprehension and grabbed a change of clothes to wear. "But for now, Natalie will assist you. She's experienced and will help you ease into it. Trust me, Arya, you'll get used to it."
I nodded, grateful for the temporary reprieve from the vulnerability of changing in front of my fellow wolves.
"As for combat training," Nathan continued, shifting the focus. "That'll be my domain. I'll prepare you for the challenges that lie ahead. We'll work on your agility, strength, and strategic thinking."
"Now," he said as he handed me a stick and assumed a fighting stance. "Show me how you can attack with that."
This was really more work than I bargained for. But I had to do it—for myself and my pack.
