Chapter 34 Alex Thorne

Chapter 34 Alex Thorne
Alex smiled confidently, "How about dinner tonight?"

Rossie replied with a slight smile, "I have a boyfriend, Mr. Thorne."

"Even if you're going to have an ex-husband, I'll still ask you out, especially since it's just a boyfriend," he replied indifferently.

Even though they had known each other for quite some time, their relationship was more like Tom and Jerry.

"Or if you're uncomfortable in public, how about one of my villas? I will hire a Michelin-starred chef for you!" Alex smiled faintly again and teased her.

Rossie stood up and looked at Alex with a teasing smile, then brought her face close to the handsome young man's ear and whispered, "Forget it!"

But before Alex could reply to Rossie, he said, "Sorry, I have to answer this call. We'll talk later!"
Alex immediately crossed his thumb and index finger to form a love sign and left her. Once again, he managed to annoy Rossie.

"Huh! The longer he stays, the more annoying he gets," Rossie muttered as she held her coffee cup.
That was when Violet approached her. She didn't know what Bryce and Rossie were talking about. In her eyes, Rossie was just a lowly employee at the Nexus Group.

With a look of hatred, Violet immediately approached Rossie and slammed her hand on the table, then stood with one hand on her slim waist. "Hey, bitch! I warn you not to flirt with Aleh if you still want to work here! You know, with just one word from me, Alex will make sure you no longer work here!"

Once again, Rossie just smiled slightly and waved his hand up and down in front of his nose. The scent of the woman's perfume in front of him was powerful, and he thought that Alex's taste was terrible.

"Oh, are you sure you can do that?" asked Rossie with a mocking smile. He didn't know this woman before, but because she was disturbing his peace, Rossie didn't want to stay silent.

"I'm not playing with you! I'm warning you, and this is mercy from me!" Violet reminded him again.
But Rossie folded her arms across her chest and said again, "Are you warning me because you don't like Alex talking to me?"

"You! How dare you call Alex by his first name? Aren't you afraid..." Violet didn't continue her words because she saw Rossie raise her chin at her.

"Go ahead, I'm waiting!" Rossie replied defiantly.

Violet really couldn't stand Rossie's words, and she grabbed the coffee cup on the table, intending to teach her a lesson. However, things didn't go as she had hoped.

"Argh!" Violet screamed loudly.

Rossie managed to lift the cup and pour the hot coffee onto Violet's face before the woman with Alex grabbed it.

At that moment, Violet's makeup was ruined, her face was red, and her mascara had smudged, making her look like a ghost. Her broken white dress was also stained with coffee.

"If you want to attack me, make sure you know your place! Oh, one more thing, choose your makeup carefully, don't use mascara that smudges easily like that!" Rossie taunted.

"You!" Violet clenched her fists, holding back her anger at Rossie. She had never been humiliated like this in her entire life.

Unbeknownst to them, Alex, who was on the phone in front of the cafe, ended the call immediately when he heard the screams from inside the restaurant. That was when he remembered Rossie and Violet.

Violet was not a gentle woman; she was so obsessed with Alex that she didn't hesitate to be rude to any woman who was close to him. Usually, Alex didn't care about this, but because it was Rossie, he couldn't ignore it.

Alex rushed over to Rossie's table, and that's when he saw the astonishing sight. Rossie was standing behind Violet with one hand holding both of Violet's hands, while the other hand pulled Violet's hair, forcing her to look up.

Although Alex was initially worried about Rossie, now he was trying to hold back his laughter. Rossie looked like a sexy policewoman in his eyes.

"I won't let you get away with this. I'll definitely sue you and you'll be banned from the city of Aether!" Violet threatened, grimacing in pain.

Rossie chuckled, "I can't wait for that day!"

At that moment, Violet saw Alex again and immediately screamed for help. "Alex, help me!"
Rossie immediately loosened her grip, then released Violet and pushed her towards Alex.

Just like Lily, Violet acted as if she were a wounded woman. She sulked in front of Alex.

"Alex, this crazy woman hurt me. Look at my clothes and makeup! You have to do something. Speak up for me!" Violet whined, grabbing Alex's arm.

Alex let go of her and said sarcastically, "Why are you picking a fight with her?"

Violet gasped, "I... I... I just asked her how you two knew each other, but it turns out she didn't like that. She then slapped me and threw hot coffee at me. I really didn't know she was crazy. Look!"
Rossie, who heard this, just smiled slightly and shook her head.

Alex turned to Violet. "You must have offended her. Quickly apologize to Miss Rossie!"

Violet was stunned. "I have to apologize to her? I'm the one who got hurt, but you're telling me to apologize? Aren't you wrong?"

"I repeat, quickly apologize to her!" Alex exclaimed.

Violet stamped her foot. "No way!"

"How could you do this to me, Alex? I'm your girlfriend, but you're defending someone else!"

Violet wrapped her arms around Alex's muscular arms again, but Alex pushed her away in disgust!
"My girlfriend? Did I ever say that? Let me tell you, Miss Rossie is not someone you can offend!"

"Apologize to her quickly and leave, or I don't want to see you again!" This time, Alex spoke more firmly.

Frightened by Alex's threat, Violet hurriedly turned to Rossie and bowed her head slightly. "I'm sorry, Miss Rossie."

She immediately turned around and left the coffee shop, covering her face with her designer handbag.

"Rossie, I'm sorry for this mess," Alex said softly, and now it was Rossie's turn to be startled.
Rossie quickly regained her composure and sat down, legs crossed. "You made her apologize to me. I consider this matter closed. Next time, you have to pay more attention to her!"
Alex nodded and turned to leave Rossie.

'Turns out she's not that annoying,' thought Rossie.

But after a few steps, Alex turned back to Rossie, "What time do you finish work? I'll pick you up for dinner?"

"Alex!" Rossie exclaimed, then snorted in annoyance.
