Chapter 17 In The Club

Chapter 17 In The Club
Bryce slumped as the truth dawned on him, and despair flooded over him. He knew how Lily loved him and hated Rossie, but it wasn't right for him to vent his anger in this way.

"I don't care what you do, I want all that gossip deleted from the internet before sunset!" Bryce ordered.

Meanwhile, Adrian Jones, his wife Daisy, and their son Jake gathered in the living room as Lily entered the house.

"Good job, Lily! Your trick worked!" Jake smiled broadly.

"Your announcement of your marriage to Bryce Johansen has solved the Jones Group's problems. Now, many hotels and inns are flocking to make reservations. We're making a lot of money!"

"You're amazing, Lily! You saved our family!" Adrian also praised his daughter.

After the Nexus Group returned all the furniture produced by JHome and permanently terminated their partnership, they suffered huge losses because many other property companies followed suit. The incident had made the father and son anxious.

Lily's idea to announce her marriage to Bryce was to save the family's ruined business. Sure enough, the results were evident. Relying on the Johansen Group was a source of profit.

However, Lily did not look happy. "We saved the business, but do you know the price I had to pay? Bryce and I fought today. His grandmother must hate me more than ever!"

"What are you afraid of? Lucia Johansen is just an old woman who will die soon!" Jake smiled maliciously.

"Aunt Miranda controls Gerald, and you have Bryce on your side. Once the old woman dies, the Johansen family will be ours!"

"He's right, Lily." Daisy stroked her daughter's golden-brown hair, her eyes sparkling with desire. "Lucia can't stop you from getting married as long as Bryce loves you. Look at Aunt Miranda."

Lily finally felt calm and nodded confidently. She would marry into the Johansen family and become the highly sought-after wife of the company president.
At that moment, the sun was beginning to set. Bryce slumped in the back seat of the luxury car that was heading to his residence.

His phone rang at that moment. Frowning, he checked who was calling before sighing.

It was his best friend, Randall Wellington.

"Hello?"

"Let's go out tonight! Everyone wants to celebrate." Randall sounded cheerful, almost unable to hide the teasing tone in his voice.

"Celebrate what?"

"That depends on you. Are we celebrating your wedding or your divorce? "
" Forget it. "

" Haha! Just kidding! Just kidding! My new club officially opened today. You have to come to show your support. How long has it been since we last saw each other? What? Don't you want to be friends with me anymore? "

Bryce sighed deeply." See you tonight."

Meanwhile, Rossie took over and prepared a sumptuous meal for Marcus that night.

"Rossie, you're allergic to smoke. I know this kitchen isn't too bad, but you shouldn't breathe in the smoke." Rossie looked worried about her brother's health after being presented with a table full of delicious food.

"It's okay. I always do it..." His slip of the tongue made him stop.

"Oh my God! Have you been preparing his meals every day for the past three years? I'm going to teach Bryce a lesson!" Marcus was so shocked, he almost flipped the table.

"It's okay. It's natural for a wife to do that for her husband. It doesn't matter anymore. I won't do it again." She laughed loudly, but her laughter couldn't hide the sadness in her eyes.

"He's been underestimating you all this time. From now on, your brothers will take care of you!

At exactly 9 p.m., the Wellington family's newly opened Fever Pitch club was crowded with famous and wealthy celebrities. After all, who would miss the opportunity to attend the new club owned by the king of the entertainment business?

The roar of the limited edition Bugatti's engine made the people there cry with envy. Marcus got out of the driver's seat, walked around the car, and opened the other door. He looked very handsome, exuding the aura of a person from the upper class.

Rossie got out of the car, holding her brother's hand. She was wearing a black halter dress that fit her body perfectly, showcasing her curves. Her hair was neatly styled and fell in waves down her back. The men at the entrance couldn't take their eyes off her.

Marcus hugged his sister even tighter, revealing his possessive side. "I think you're wearing too little tonight."

"What? Don't I look pretty?" She raised her eyebrows seductively.

"Of course you're beautiful! I don't want all these men sticking to you!"

"They can try, but I'll break their noses if they dare." Rossie smiled mischievously.

Everyone in the nightclub felt nervous because of the intoxicating atmosphere. Marcus didn't want his sister to sit at the bar, so he ordered a table full of quality wine to prevent anyone from approaching her.

"I regret coming here with you, Marcus. There are so many handso
me men around here." Rossie shook her wine glass and pouted sadly, "I just got divorced. Your presence is scaring away all my potential suitors!"

"Damn it. Just because you're divorced doesn't mean your market value has gone down. Did you come here to pick out men who disgust you?" Marcus sat next to her but couldn't resist warning her wandering eyes.

Meanwhile, Bryce and Randall entered a relatively quiet private room on the second floor.

"Almost every nightclub in Aether City is declining, but why did you open a new one?" Bryce asked as he sat elegantly.

"Hah, so you think just because other people are losing money, I will too?"
"This place isn't losing money?"

"Yes, but what's there to be afraid of? Am I that poor?" asked Randall, but suddenly his gaze fell on a sight that made him exclaim, "What a beautiful woman! She's dressed like a queen of the night!"

Bryce wasn't the type of person who liked to ogle women. He wasn't interested at all, which forced Randall to look for himself.

He was fine until he accidentally turned his head, and what he saw made his blood boil. "That's Rossie! Who's the man next to her? Isn't that Dominic Cavendish?" he muttered softly.

Randall raised his eyebrows mischievously and said teasingly, "Isn't that Marcus Cavendis, a great lawyer?"

"Damn, I'm so jealous. A woman that beautiful should be my girlfriend. What can Marcus give her?" Randall grew increasingly excited as he spoke.

Below, Rossie smiled sweetly at Marcus.

Seeing that, Bryce felt an indescribable tightness in his chest.
Once, that smile was only for him.

"How about I claim her for myself tonight? She may be Marcus's woman, but I don't care. Even if there's a goalkeeper, I can still score a goal." Randall licked his lips as he spoke, his desire clear.

"Don't even think about it. She's my wife!" Bryce exclaimed.
Randall's eyes widened in surprise.
