Chapter 10 Drama Queen
"Lily? Are you okay?" Daisy was shocked, but she also wanted to laugh.
Bryce walked over to help her up from the ground, but she refused to move.
"Bryce, it hurts so much. Please help me stand up!" Lily's knees felt numb, and she cried and whimpered.
Seeing this, Rossie crossed her arms and stared at the woman who was still sitting on the floor with a cynical look. She was completely fake, perfect for Bryce, who was blind to her deception.
Lily turned to Rossie and said, "Rossie, if there's something you don't like about me, just say so, don't push me like this!"
Lily then hid in the man's embrace and looked at Rossie with hatred.
"Lily, what are you talking about?" Bryce was immediately surprised.
"Are you sure I pushed you?" asked Rossie, but she wasn't angry. Instead, she laughed and watched Lily's act.
"Then what do you think, that I suddenly fell by myself?" Lily was so angry that her voice rose.
"Maybe. After all, you're a weak woman who could die at any moment. Maybe the wind made you fall."
"You..." Lily didn't continue her sentence, but her face turned red with anger.
"You clearly pushed me when I was walking. Don't lie to Bryce! If you want to apologize, I'll definitely forgive you," said Lily, sobbing slightly.
Bryce glared at Rossie, "Rossie! Look, Lily is giving you a chance to apologize. You'd better apologize quickly before she changes her mind and sues you!"
Rossie just smiled. "Oh, so I'll be reported to the police? Hmm, that's fine, that's actually good. Later, the police can see from the surveillance camera, and hmm..."
"I wonder if later the police will deal with the assault I committed against Lily, or will they resolve the case of defamation against me?" Rossie tapped her index finger on her chin.
Bryce was surprised to see the change in Rossie. She was no longer the quiet and obedient wife who waited for him at home. Meanwhile, Lily began to look nervous. Lily turned to Daisy for help.
"This is all a misunderstanding!" Daisy glanced at the surveillance camera above and tried to calm the situation down.
"Lily must have tripped and accidentally bumped into Rossie, which is why she thought Rossie pushed her. It's just a misunderstanding."
"Lily, did you really trip?" Bryce looked at Lily indifferently.
"I... I thought she pushed me..."
Bryce's face immediately turned gloomy, which made Lily panic.
"If he hadn't dodged, I wouldn't have fallen. He did it on purpose."
At that moment, Rossie was holding the Ruby bracelet given to him by Grandma, and when Lily saw it, she became even more upset.
"I know you're angry because you divorced Bryce, but you can't take your anger out on me. Did I do something wrong that caused you two to divorce?"
As she said this, tears streamed down Lily's face.
"First of all, I'm not angry. On the contrary, I should thank you for helping me escape from suffering. Now, I no longer have to be a sad wife who waits for him from dusk till dawn." Rossie lifted her chin slightly and replied.
"From dusk till dawn?" Bryce thought, his surprise clearly visible on his face.
Rossie then glanced at Lily for a moment before returning her attention to Bryce. "Mr. Bryce Johansen, Miss Lily Jones is your girlfriend. You'd better take good care of her!" Rossie quipped.
"Rose Winter!" Bryce shouted angrily.
Rossie wiped the bracelet her grandmother had given her, which Lily had almost snatched away. After that, she put it on and waved her hands as if Lily's touch had been dirty.
Lily became even more furious and pointed at Rossie, "You..."
Lily didn't finish her sentence. She wanted to respond to Rossie's attitude, but unfortunately, Bryce's ex-wife had already walked away.
Outside the hospital, Rossie couldn't help but laugh when she thought about how Lily had embarrassed herself.
"Ha ha ha! It turns out that it's fun to fight back," Rossie thought with a smile.
However, her joy was interrupted by someone calling her name.
"Rose Winter!"
Rossie turned around when she heard Bryce's familiar voice. The wind blew through her hair, giving her a feeling of unblemished beauty.
Bryce furrowed his brow as he walked towards her.
"Can I help you, Mr. Johansen?" Rossie's expression was cold. "If Miss Jones is still upset about what happened earlier and is having problems with her leg, just take her to the doctor, and I'll cover the costs!"
"She's fine, and that's not why I'm here. In the treatment room earlier, you told Grandma..."
"Oh, about that? Don't worry about it. I just didn't want Grandma to get angry, and that would be fatal to her health." Rossie's gaze softened when Bryce mentioned Grandma Lucia.
"We're even now," Bryce continued.
Rossie furrowed her brow in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"You faked your identity to marry me. You also protected my reputation in front of Grandma, so we're even. I won't tell Grandma or the rest of the Johansen family about this." The man's face looked gloomy.
Rossie's eyes widened in surprise, wondering, "Can I deny it?"
"However, you have to tell me why you used a fake identity when you married me. No, I have to put it another way." Bryce slowly approached her and asked, "What was your motive for approaching Grandma with a fake identity?"
Rossie felt pain in her heart and slowly stepped back. Unfortunately, she forgot that there were stairs behind her. Rossie lost her balance and fell backwards.
But in the next second, she felt a touch on her slim waist. Bryce caught her body and held her. This was the first time Rossie had been so close to her ex-husband.
They met, and she blushed. Meanwhile, her breath began to quicken.
