Chapter 82

Alessandro's car pulled up in front of a majestic building, its sleek, modern design a testament to Switzerland architecture.

The building's facade was made of gleaming glass and steel, with a sprawling garden surrounding it.

A discreet sign above the entrance read "The Helix Building".

Alessandro stepped out of the car, followed by Cristonio, who was carrying a suitcase.

"No need, Cristianio," Alessandro said, turning to his assistant. "You don't have to follow me. I'll be fine."

Cristianio nodded, though he looked uncertain.

"Are you sure, Master?"

Alessandro nodded. "Yes, I am."

With that, Alessandro made his way into the building, leaving Cristonio behind.

As he entered the grand hall, he was struck by its opulence.

The room was filled with lavish furnishings and expensive artwork.

But what caught Alessandro's attention was the eerie silence.

The reception desk was empty, and there was no sign of life anywhere.

Alessandro's brow furrowed in confusion as he wondered why the place was deserted.

Suddenly, he the a mysterious woman approaching him.

She was tall, with piercing green eyes and long, curly brown hair.

Her expression was enigmatic, and Alessandro's heart skipped a beat as she walked towards him.

The woman's eyes locked onto Alessandro's, and he felt a shiver run down his spine.

Who was this mysterious woman, and what did she want?

As the mysterious woman drew closer, Alessandro's instincts kicked in.

He swiftly pulled out his gun and began firing at the woman.

But to his shock, the bullets seemed to have no effect on her.

She didn't flinch, didn't stumble, and didn't even acknowledge the gunfire.

The mysterious woman finally reached Alessandro, and with a swift motion, she removed her mask, revealing her true identity.

Alexandro's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the person before him.

It was Gabriel.

Alessandro's voice was laced with surprise.

"Gabriel... what are you doing here?" he started to say, but before he could finish, Gabriel swiftly pulled out a sharp knife and stabbed Alessandro in the same spot where he had a long time gunshot wound.

Alessandro's eyes widened in agony as he fell to the ground, his body weak and bleeding.

Gabriel stood over him, a cold smile spreading across his face.

After a few minutes, Gabriel called out to his guards, who rushed in and lifted Alessandro's unconscious body off the ground.

They carried him out of the building, leaving Gabriel standing alone, a triumphant glint in his eye.

Stephanie slowly opened her eyes to find herself in an unfamiliar room.

She scanned her surroundings, taking in the cold, grey walls and the metal bars that covered the windows.

The room was dimly lit, with only a few flickering fluorescent lights to illuminate the space.

As she looked around, Stephanie saw that she was not alone.

There were other women and men sitting on the ground, their eyes fixed on her with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.

Stephanie's mind was a jumble of questions.

" How did I get here? What was this place?"She asked herself

And then, memories came flooding back.

She remembered Kalus bursting into her room, grabbing her, and carrying her away.

A tear rolled down her cheek as she realized she was now in Germany, a prisoner of Kalus's empire.

Just then, a soft voice spoke beside her.

"You're awake."

Stephanie turned to see Chiara sitting next to her, a warm smile on her face.

"After sleeping for close to three hours," Chiara added.

Stephanie's eyes widened in surprise.

"Chiara! How did you get here?" she asked, her voice shaking.

Chiara's smile faltered for a moment before she replied, "I was also taken from the estate because of my powers. But I'm happy to be here with you, Stephanie. We can plan together and escape using our powers. We can do it."

Stephanie's eyes welled up with tears as she thought about her mom, trapped in the empire.

"I just feel so sad," she said, her voice shaking. "I know my mom is in this empire too, and I just can't wait to see her."

Chiara's expression softened, and she reached out to take Stephanie's hand.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine," she said reassuringly. "We'll find your mom and save her. We'll leave this empire one day."

Stephanie nodded, trying to hold back her tears.

Chiara's words of comfort brought her a small measure of peace.

Just then, a voice spoke up from the corner of the room.

"I agree," said the voice. "We'll get out of here, together."

Stephanie turned to see who had spoken, and her eyes landed on a girl with piercing blue eyes and jet-black hair.

The girl smiled, and Stephanie felt a sense of solidarity with her.

"Thanks," Stephanie said, smiling back at the girl. "I'm Stephanie."

"I'm Jera," the girl replied, her smile growing wider.
