Chapter 124 Piercing
Chapter 124 Piercing
BIG KAI
HOURS EARLIER……
I got into my car and started it. My phone beeped, taking my attention.
It was a text from Caleb.
It says, 'Boss, I am off to get cereal for Lil Kai."
I furrowed my brows, moving my eyes towards the range.
My phone beeped again, taking my attention.
Another text.
"Mia sent Coco to help her get them. I offered to give them a ride myself. I hope you don't mind? Call me if you need anything. And oh, we have Lil Kai with us too."
Lil Kai is with them?
I moved my eyes to the range again.
My Shawty isn't out yet.
I shrugged slightly.
I guess she had to let them take Lil Kai so she could have time for the training.
I let out a chuckle.
Why was she whining though?
I sent a quick text to Caleb, telling him to take his time. I am off to the hood.
I played my favorite jam by Rick Ross as I twirled the wheel, heading towards the gate and driving away.
I nodded as the amazing rap boomed loudly in my car.
I haven't looked into the studio business in a while. I have a lot of aspiring rappers in my DM that I left unread.
I ain't got no time for some audition and shit.
I still have a lot of cash coming out from the rappers I have placed at the top so far.
The DM traffic has to fucking wait. Plus I have my wedding to plan.
I finna make it a grand one for my queen.
The fucking president finna be there.
All them influential niggas and shit.
I increased my driving speed, heading towards Bricktown.
I got a call from Mike. Weirdly, it wasn't Reeko but him. Talking about some fraudster and a family in the hood.
Reeko is like the governor of the hood. Only he reports to me.
He always reports to me himself.
I don't get why Mike called me.
How that nigga get my fucking number anyways.
My phone vibrated on my lap, making me reduce the volume of the music.
I picked up my phone, looking at the dialer.
It was my mama.
I rolled my eyes, taking the call.
She finna scold me again.
I placed the phone to my ear.
"Mama,"
"Where the hell are you going?"
Just what I needed.
"Out," I simply said, twirling the wheel.
"What do you mean by out? I told you have to talk."
I rolled my eyes, shaking my head.
"You told me after the worthless training with that little white tramp of yours. Wha...."
"Mama, mama," I retorted. "Don't fucking start. That's my fiancée you calling those fucking names. I don't like that shit."
"Boy, do I sound like I give a damn?"
I scoffed, moving the wheel.
"I don't give a damn. She is a tramp. A white one for that freaking matter."
I gritted my teeth.
"You can't marry her. I am not going to allow it."
"You lucky you are my mama, Candace."
"What the....."
"Don't speak about ma girl like that again. Do you fucking hear me?"
She scoffed. "Seriously?"
"I gotta go. I got things to handle."
"Don't you dare hang up."
I hung up, tossing my phone on the passenger seat.
I rubbed my chin and beard, calming my nerves.
It ain't her fault.
That fucking Imani brainwashed her as always. Just like back in the fucking day.
Mama would take her side all the freaking time.
It was almost like Imani stole my own mama from me.
They're lucky I don't give a shit. Mama might take Imani's side all the time but it doesn't change the fact that my mama is my mama.
Whatever though.
They can't tell me what to fucking do.
My wedding is on the fucking seventh.
Either they take seats at the event or fucking leave.
I don't give a damn.
The fuck am I even saying?
Imani is leaving my house. She can't be here.
I have given Mama enough grace. Imani is fucking leaving today.
I got to handle the hood shit first.
She'd better start packing.
HOURS LATER.....
AT BRICKTOWN......
I dropped my fairly used cigar on the floor and stepped on it as the shudders and whimpers filled the room.
I looked at the three motherfuckers tied up to chairs in front of me.
Their lips are taped and their battered body still don't look that satisfying.
I moved my eyes to Mike and some boys.
They have guns in their hands, looking like they did a fucking good job.
I huffed, moving my eyes back to the three motherfuckers.
They didn't get what they deserved. It is seriously not satisfying.
Oh well, I miss ma shawty anyway. I will rather spend time training her lazy whining ass than waste my time here.
Let's get this shit over with.
I am a fucking family man now.
I extended my hand to Mike.
He placed a gun in my hand and I clocked it. I aimed it at them.
Their faces twitched.
I shot all three swiftly, three bullets through their fucking foreheads.
I hope they loved it.
Their body limped as I handed the gun back to Mike.
"Damn, OG. Boss, you shoot like a god." Mike said, smiling.
The boys behind him supported, nodding and smiling.
"You and them boys punch like fucking babies."
Their faces twitched.
"Where the fuck is Reeko?"
Mike didn't respond but looked at his men momentarily.
"Why the fuck isn't he here?"
"Um, Reeko be handling some paperwork at the club office lately," Mike said.
I scoffed. "The fuck?"
"He's gonna join us pretty soon," he said, nodding.
"I've got no time to wait. I'm heading home. Tell the nigga to call me. He better have some fucking explanation why he ain't here." I said, heading out of the warehouse.
"Wait, boss!" Mike called, appearing in front of me.
The fuck is with this nigga?
He opened his mouth to speak but no shit is coming out.
"Is you crazy, boy?"
"Sorry boss, but the boys and I prepared a treat for you."
I raised my brows.
"You gonna love it," he said, nodding and smiling.
I looked at the boys.
They are smiling as well.
I returned my gaze to Mike.
"What do you say, OG? It's been a while since you dined with us boys."
"I'm gonna pass. For now. "
His smile fell.
"Especially not after you and the boys didn't beat those motherfuckers' asses very well," I added.
He furrowed his brows.
"But we...."
"Get the fuck outta my way," I said, walking past him and heading towards my fucking car.
Getting to the driver's seat door, my phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and stared at the dialer.
That witch is calling.
Fucking Imani.
The nerve of that bitch.
The fuck does she wanna say to me, huh?
She ready to get kicked out?
Well, I am on my fucking way.
I opened my car door, got in, and tossed my phone on the passenger seat.
I started my car and drove away.
Time went by and I was getting close to my mansion.
I grabbed my phone and scrolled through it.
I saw ten missed calls from Imani and Mama.
The fuck?
Why were they blowing my fucking line?
Damn, these women.
I moved to my call logs and dialed Shawty's number as I approached the gate.
She needs to get ready for me.
We finna have a fucking good time till dark.
Smirking, I stopped at the gate.
Her line is not available.
I dialed it again as the gate opened slowly.
Her line is still not available.
Where your phone at, shawty?
I drove into the compound as I tried dialing her number again.
I froze the minute my brain picked up something.
I looked ahead and I saw a fucking ambulance parked close to the stairs leading to the entrance of my fucking mansion.
"The fuck?"
Some of my men are standing on the stairs and the entrance door is open.
My heart picked up as I stopped my car and got out of it.
My men straightened up the minute they saw me.
"Boss...."
"What the fuck is going on here?"
They didn't respond but lowered their heads.
"I asked you a fucking question!"
Still no response.
Next, the paramedics walked out with a stretcher that had a body-like object in a fucking black bag.
Terror washed over me as Shawty came to my mind.
That can't be a body.
No.
Shawty's phone wasn't available.
That can't be her.
It can't be......
"Kai," a cry took my attention.
Imani is sobbing and staring at me.
I furrowed my brows.
She shook her head.
Caleb walked out of the house as well, sympathetically staring at me.
He shook his head slightly.
I moved my eyes to the paramedics who were descending the stairs.
I felt cold.
I hurried towards them and unzipped the bag.
I froze, picking up adrenaline all over my head as my heart split into a million pieces.
"Ma....mama?"
No.....
