Chapter 86 86

Chapter 86 86
Cassidy sighed as she cleaned the desk slowly. It was getting really late and she checked her time. A little after 12 pm. She would still get home.

She dropped the napkin and scrolled over her contact list, staring at his name. He'd changed it to Sam the other day. She sighed slowly.

He hadn't even tried to contact her after that. She had made a mistake by trying to fall for him. Alexa was right. He'd been a stalker, what else couldn't he be? She released a breath. Just how could one family have the kids with the bad characters!?

She hissed throwing her phone on the drawer as she stared at herself in the mirror. Why hadn't she gotten over him yet?

Few minutes later and she walked out of the shop, closing the door behind her. It was dark out there and she hadn't brought her car. Infact, she'd left it where she drank last night and gotten into a cab. And this morning, she had been so busy to go pick it up.

It was an unreasonable time to see a cab but she had to go home and she definitely wasn't opening the shop tomorrow. She flagged down a cab but it sped past her. She hissed as she raised her head, fixing her hand inside her hair to ruffle it.

Unexpectedly, her eyes caught the front of a black car in the darkness, pointed at her. She looked away immediately and looked back tow minutes later. It was still there but she could make some movements in it.

Were they watching her? She thought and immediately started walking away, going to the other side of the road. She heard footsteps. She didn't look back. She felt them near her and just when the hand wanted to touch her, she screamed, immediately running away.

Her bag fell on the ground, with her phone and everything, but it seemed the person didn't notice cause he kept on following her in the darkness.

"Oh my God. Oh my God." Cassidy muttered in fear as sweat broke from her skin where she hid. He was searching for her. She could hear the iron that he was using to trace lines on the wall. Who was he? A serial killer? She couldn't even think.

Her stomach was warming up and she pressed her thighs against each other, trying to stop her urine from flowing. She had to use the toilet soon or she would pee on herself.

"Shit." She whispered to herself and the iron suddenly stopped moving. A creak and she saw eyes in front of her.

"Arrghhh!!!!!!" She screamed out, pushing him with all the force she could muster and rushed out, running back into the road. Suddenly, he got hold of her foot and she fell to the ground. She made sure to place pressure on her hands and pushed it to the ground to prevent him from dragging her, but he didn't even try to and the next big thing she had was a thud.

The sound iron dropping to the ground and the thud of human body almost made her urine come out. Her heart beat fast, her chest heaving up and down. Sweat left her body. She couldn't move, she couldn't breathe. She wouldn't even dare to turn.

"Cassy." She heard his deep masculine voice and her head immediately whipped backwards. It was him, it was really him. She scoffed as she got up and that was when she saw the iron on the ground and the man who had been pursing her.

She immediately rushed to him, blood came out slightly from his head.

"Is he dead?" She asked in fear.

"No. I hit him where he wouldn't die."

So to say, he knew where to hit to kill someone. What had she even been thinking entangling herself with this man?

"How did you find me?" She asked.

"I saw you." He replied.

"Tell me the truth." She demanded, placing her hands on her waist, her legs still tightly pressed together.

His eyes fell to her legs, "Don't you want to use the restroom?" He asked and she bit her lips in embarrassment.

"Fine. But I need you to help me search for my bag. I dropped it somewhere in the alley over there." She said and he nodded.

"Alright. So go." He titled his head. She immediately rushed into the nearest open building and disappeared.

Sam smirked as he walked closer to the man on the floor, jerking him by his collar and slapping him across the cheek.

"Wake up!" He shot hitting him hardly again. The man groaned, his head bobbing lightly on his head, as if his neck couldn't support it.

"Do you know that woman you followed?" Sam asked. The man was obviously drunk and needed one more, just one more hard slap to restore him back to soberness. He gave him the slap and truthfully, it worked.

"Huh..." The man jerked upwards.

Sam tightened his hands on his neck, choking him lightly. "If she comes right, you go left. Don't you get try to cross her path whether you are drunk or sober. If you do, I'll make sure you never get sober again." He said and tilted his head, knowing she would soon be out, "I'll make sure you die." Before the man could reply, Sam hit his neck and knocked him out and quickly ran into the dark to look for her bag.

Cassidy walked out, and seeing Sam absent, she waited. The cold got the better part of her and she rubbed her shoulders lightly, releasing a small breath.

She saw him walk out of the alley and her eyes widened for a second.

"Here." He pushed her bag forward. She collected it and checked, releasing a sigh. Everything was intact.

Sam walked to her and pulled his jacket, placing it on her shoulders, "Don't let the cold get to you." He said and made to leave.

"I...." Cassidy held his clothes with two fingers, just a little tiny bit, "I can't get a cab." She muttered.
