Chapter 89 Nesting in the City
Chapter 89 Nesting in the City
Selene
We land just before dawn, and by the time the black SUV rolls up to the front entrance, I’m half-asleep on Adrian’s shoulder with my feet propped on Kostas’s lap. John’s scrolling through emails like the world hasn’t just changed beneath us all.
The London townhouse is impossibly beautiful.
Tucked behind tall hedges and wrought iron gates, it rises in clean, elegant lines—modern and classic all at once. The windows are wide, the floors a warm blonde wood, and everything smells like cedar, cinnamon, and fresh paint.
Home. For now, at least.
But once the front door opens and I step inside, I forget everything else.
The house is already stocked. The pantry full. Fresh flowers in every room. A plush robe monogrammed with an “S” hanging on the hook near the marble soaking tub. And—because they know me too well—a stack of gourmet chocolates beside the bed.
“I’m not sure if I’m living in a dream,” I murmur, stretching, “or a billionaire-sponsored fantasy.”
John sets down my bag and grins. “Both.”
Over the next week, all three of us fall into a rhythm of some sorts.
Each morning, one of them heads to the office—rotating shifts like a protective triad—while the other two stay behind. Sometimes it’s John cooking me lemon ricotta pancakes. Other days it’s Adrian massaging my feet while I binge-watch interior design videos. Kostas insists on mid-day baths, complete with oils and mood lighting like I’m royalty.
They refuse to let me do anything.
“You’re carrying triplets,” Adrian says, plucking my phone from my hand as I try to check emails. “You’re on sacred goddess status now. Accept it.”
So I do.
I rest. I nap. I stretch out on velvet chaise lounges and write in my journal. They won't allow me to do much work, insisting that I rest as much as possible . I try on maternity lingerie that John ordered as a “practical gift” and end up modeling it for all three of them, which leads to passionate kisses and an accidental afternoon delight that ends with me breathless and glowing.
They spoil me endlessly.
Adrian commissions a custom fragrance called Muse “to remind you how powerful you are.” John orders six different types of imported honey because “one of them might help with nausea.” Kostas insists the driver keep the car heated at all times, even when we’re inside.
When I start to get restless, they compromise.
A walk in the private garden. A dinner at the quiet restaurant down the street—where the hostess greets me like royalty and three waiters ask to take our photo for Instagram.
Because by now… the world knows, they've seen the four of us out and about together. And most of time we can't be bothered to keep things PG rated.
They know I’m with all three of them but it’s not yet confirmed. There have tabloids that have taken our pictures and posted them in their gossip columns with derogatory remarks about us and they have been taken down almost immediately. The guys PR teams are on it at every turn.
And somehow, we don’t care.
The press has gone wild.
“Selene: The Modern Aphrodite?”
“Three Billionaires. One Goddess.”
“Throuple? Try Quad Goals.”
I try not to read the comments. I'll admit that it's harder then it seems. I'm tempted to but at the same time do not want to stress myself out. So I focus on the feeling instead—the security, the peace, the way they each look at me like I’m the center of their universe and they way they look at each other too.
And I rest.
Because I know what’s coming once they find out that I'm expecting again .
And it’s going to take everything we have to figure out how to navigate this new twist in our journey.
it's daunting, but as much as I'm apprehensive, I'm grateful that each of these men will protect me with their life. I've also been stressing about my safety, especially with Bianca in close proximity to us after what she did last time. We've agreed that we will keep the pregnancy a secret for as long as possible.
None of us are ready to let the world in and by doing that inadvertently allowing that crazy woman a chance to harm me and the babies.
