Chapter 17

"Why did you bring me here? I never said I wanted to buy clothes," Rosalie hissed, turning to walk back to the car. But Cameron's words halted her in her tracks.

"Since you're my stripper, you can't go out with me dressed like this," he mumbled. Rosalie scoffed and turned back to face him.

"So you wanted to buy clothes for me? Well, I don't want any! All I wanted was to pay you back and leave your house. I'm not even your girlfriend-why would you buy clothes for me?" Rosalie said, disbelief lacing her voice as she tried to walk away again.

"What if I asked you to be my girlfriend? No, I don't need to ask. You're basically my girlfriend since you owe me money. Until you pay me back, you're mine," he replied.

"So stop being stubborn and follow me," Cameron added. Without waiting for a response, he turned and walked in, leaving Rosalie speechless with her mouth agape.

"His girlfriend? Did he just say I'm his girlfriend?" she asked herself, shock written all over her face.

"Is he crazy or what? I don't understand anymore. Just two days with him, and he's already acting like this. Gawd! I can't wait to pay off my debt, but I haven't even started!" Rosalie exclaimed in frustration.

"If he insists on buying clothes for me, that's his loss-I never asked him to do that for me," Rosalie said, rolling her eyes, unaware that people were already staring at her.

"Why are y'all staring?!" she yelled, causing onlookers to quickly look away, thinking she was losing it.

"Let's go; I think she's crazy," one woman said, ushering her kids away.

"Yes, I'm crazy! He's driving me insane!" Rosalie exclaimed before a smile broke across her face as she stepped into the boutique. A gasp escaped her lips.

"This place is amazing! I've never been anywhere like this before. Everything here must be so expensive. That bastard really wants to spend his money on me," she mumbled with a grin, glancing around in awe and her eyes landed on Cameron, who was talking to a woman who looked like the attendant.

Rosalie began to walk closer to them.

"Okay, I'll take her to the newly arrived store, and the clothes have never been worn by anyone before," the attendant said. Cameron nodded, and that was all Rosalie could hear before she moved closer to them.

"He wants to give me the best things? I wonder why he's doing all this. He's already making me feel guilty by buying things for me, but I can't help but insult him," Rosalie thought.

"Let's go this way, Miss," the attendant said, and Rosalie turned to find Cameron already staring at her.

"It's you who wanted to buy clothes for me. I can't pay you back if you decide to change your mind in the future," Rosalie stated, and Cameron scoffed.

"Don't worry. Just look sexy for me; you'll be paying me back in a different way," Cameron teased.

"You..." Rosalie wanted to curse him, but she paused when she noticed the crowd around them. Instead, she forced a smile at him.

"Let's go," Rosalie said, turning back to the attendant, who immediately led the way.

"She's cute, and she's slowly becoming my type," Cameron mumbled with a smile as he walked over to a waiting chair. He sat down and began reading a newspaper while waiting for Rosalie.

After a few minutes, impatience got the better of him. He tossed the newspaper aside and stood up.

He was about to head in the direction the attendant had taken Rosalie when she emerged from the fitting room.

"Damn!" Cameron exclaimed, his eyes widening at the sight of her. She looked stunning and sexy in the short, backless gown, her hair cascading down to her waist.

Rosalie smiled at the look on Cameron's face as she walked closer to him.

"Why are you surprised? Aren't you the one who asked her to dress me up sexily?" Rosalie said, but Cameron was lost in thought.

He almost told her to go change because the gown looked so alluring on her, making him think about things he shouldn't be thinking, especially with her sexy, snow-white legs on display.

"Hey, please don't eat me alive with your eyes," Rosalie snapped, pulling Cameron out of his thoughts. He smirked just as the attendant approached, accompanied by three others carrying the remaining shopping bags.

"Take these to the car while I go make the payment," Cameron said, casting her one last glance before walking away.

"Let's go," Rosalie said with a bright smile, loving her new look and the attention she was receiving from both men and women admiring her beauty.

To an outsider, she might seem wealthy, but deep down, she was poor as fuck. Still, she walked toward the car with a smile on her face, enjoying the moment.

It was late at night when Cameron pulled the car to a stop in front of the club, which was already crowded with wealthy people coming and going.

As Cameron and Rosalie stepped out of the car, she felt the eyes of everyone outside on her.

"Should I just poke out their eyes?" Cameron joked, and Rosalie chuckled in response. She felt uncomfortable under the eyes of those men, but there was nothing she could do-he had bought the outfit for her, after all.

They started walking into the VIP room. Athena and Dylan's eyes widened when sighted Rosalie and Cameron.

"What's going on? Is the boss dating her? They look just like a couple," Dylan mumbled, his expression one of surprise, while Athena stared in disbelief, her mouth agape.

"What? Is that my Rose? My best friend? I can hardly recognize her anymore!" Athena exclaimed, shock evident on her face.

"Of course she is, but she looks so rich and classy," Dylan replied as they watched Cameron and Rosalie walking side by side until they disappeared from view.

Athena hesitated to call Rosalie, unsure of what to say.

Dylan flinched when Athena suddenly screamed excitedly.

"Whoa! You scared me!" Dylan mumbled, his expression a mix of surprise and fear.

"My friend is dating the boss in just two days! I can't believe it!" Athena exclaimed, her face lighting up with joy. "Now that my friend is rich, I guess I'm rich too!"

"How are you the one who's rich? You're not the one dating," Dylan replied, a teasing tone in his voice. Athena playfully tapped him on the shoulder.

"Ow! That hurt!" Dylan protested, rubbing his shoulder.

"You won't understand, but since my Rose is rich, I'm sure she won't forget me. I'll quit my job, and you'll still be here serving me drinks whenever I come to have fun," Athena said with a smile.

"Can you just stop daydreaming already? We don't even know if it's true; we're just guessing, and you're already planning everything you'll do..."

"She's just a stripper working for a VIP customer, so I don't think there's anything between them," Dylan said with a sneer.

"Now I know you don't understand anything, but I know more than you do. And mind your words-my friend isn't just a stripper, okay?" Athena warned, her tone firm. Dylan scoffed in response.

"Okay, my bad," he replied as Athena picked up the tray of alcohol bottles and started to leave to serve the customers.

"I'll talk to my friend later, but right now, I'm over the moon because I'm already rich-richer, richest!" Athena sang, doing a slow dance as she walked toward the crowds and Dylan couldn't help but laugh.

Meanwhile, Santiago was hiding in a corner of the club. The moment he spotted Cameron and Rosalie, he quickly stood up from his seat and walked out of the club.

"Have you talked to the boss? He just arrived," the guard at the door, who had stopped Santiago in the morning, asked.

"I can't talk to him right now; I have an emergency to take care of. I'll speak with him another day," Santiago replied before heading to his car.

The guard sensed something suspicious but decided to let Santiago leave.

Once inside his car, Santiago quickly dialed the Godfather's number, and he answered.

"Hello, Godfather. I have something to tell you about the young master," Santiago said.

"Go ahead, what have you found out about him?" the Godfather asked from the other end of the line, curiosity evident in his voice.

"I saw the young master with a lady at his club, and they looked very close. I'm guessing she's his girlfriend..."

"I think the young master has a girlfriend again," Santiago added, and what followed was the Godfather's evil laugh.

"He has a girlfriend again, and he still isn't doing what I want him to do, even though he knows he'll end up just like before," the Godfather said wickedly.

"Keep spying on him and gather more information about what he's been up to these days. And while you're at it..."

"Find out everything you can about that girl. Cameron is going to be crying again soon," the Godfather added.
