Chapter 23

Roshini was listening to the lecture thinking about what has happened to Nidhi. Since yesterday evening she strongly advised Nidhi to choose Varun over her parents.

She wanted Nidhi to end up with him, she doesn't know why she is having this kind feeling but there is a sort of foolish superstition is there in her mind that if Nidhi's love gets succeeds, Siddharth will also understand her love. There is no connection in these two but her stupid heart strongly believed this.

She can't call Nidhi at this time and she doesn't know Varun's number and she is afraid to talk with him too. So totally she ended up silent controlling her urges to speak with Nidhi.

Once her professor finished the lecture her classmates asked permission from the other staff for tomorrow's event preparation. Roshini was in the team of technical quiz and the head for that team is none other than Siddharth. All the first, second and third-year students will work as a group except final year students who are busy with their project work.

She knows he has purposely added her to his group, Siddharth only confessed that to her! Nowadays He is apparently showing his interest in her by his doings, she couldn't avoid it and she can't take it fully.

She sat in her place looking at her syllabus. Suddenly Siddharth barged into the classroom. Today he was wearing that killer glasses that showing him attractive. A dark blue shirt and the black Jean perfectly fitting his drool-worthy physique. A costly watch on his wrist and brown sneakers were perfect for his costume.

God why you are tempting me by showing him like this when you are not in the state to give him as mine? You are so cruel! She scolded the almighty and looked him without shifting her gaze anywhere.

"Attention guys!" Hearing his voice Roshini heart raced. Even his voice was tempting!

Don't expect more stupid, her inner self replied irritatingly.

"There is a small change in the technical quiz team," he said and looked the paper on his hand.

"Ramesh and Praveen are changed to the quiz team so come with me. And have guys asked permission from the staff?" he asked.

Everyone replied as yes.

"Then why you are all sitting, go and meet your leaders and start on the work, we don't have time," he urged everyone and looked Roshini, she immediately shifted her gaze.

Siddharth didn't talk with her, he went out and the two guys followed him. Roshini was confused about why all of a sudden he is changing the team members.

Already in her class, everyone was looking at her like an alien. And now his actions were too much to handle.

And added to that there are lot rumors about their relationship, she literally heard Aishwarya talking shit about her since she is sitting behind and she can clearly hear whatever she is speaking with her friends.

Life is like this, and people like her exist everywhere so Roshini remained calm. But she doesn't know how long she can remain silent.

Soon everyone went out of the class like Siddharth ordered. Roshini without having another option went out to meet her leader, her fake boyfriend, and her secret lover.

He was sitting in his class and about ten people were surrounding him and listening to what he is talking. Roshini awkwardly went there and stood behind them.

"Okay guys, I won't come tomorrow so you people have to manage. I have prepared everything, only follow Gautham's instructions. Got it?" Siddharth asked.

And they said, "Yes, Anna(brother)."

Siddharth gave a small smile and looked Roshini who is staring at him.

"Okay then leave and help your seniors," Siddharth said to eradicate this crowd.

Siddharth grinned widely and when he was about to speak...

"Hey, Siddharth! Where is that sellotape?" Ram asked who is sticking the flyers.

"It is on our desk," he replied.

"Siddharth, I am having doubt regarding this circuit theory?" His girl classmate came in-between them.

After clearing her doubt Siddharth immediately stood up from the desk and signaled Roshini to come with him. They walked out until they reached a secluded place.

"Why you are taking leave tomorrow?" Roshini asked instantly. Before he answers his eyes caught the chain that she was wearing the S letter pendant that touching her skin made him grin.

Actually he intently pressurized Shiva to buy this one for her.

"Not only me, you are also taking leave tomorrow," he said and that confused Roshini.

"Why?"

"Cause tomorrow we are going to attend your friend's marriage," he informed.

"What? How did you know that?" She asked.

"I know, Varun...told!"

"When did he called you?"

"That day when you asked my phone," Siddharth said.

"Why you haven't said that to me?"

"I forgot." He simply answered and Roshini rolled her eyes.

"What is that? Are you pissed off?" Siddharth asked noticing her expression.

"No!"

"Hmm," he hummed and nodded with a smirk on his face. He likes to see her get angry with him and also the way she hides that from him.

"Can you give your phone? I want to talk with Nidhi."

"Sure," he handed the mobile and stood beside her looking at the drizzling rain not in the mindset to give her personal space.

She typed the name Varun in the contact list and it popped in front of the screen. She dialed and waited for him to attend the call.

"Hello Siddharth?" Varun said and that surprised Roshini.

"I am Roshini speaking, how are you Brother?"

"I am fine, Nidhi is sleeping now," he said before she could ask him.

"Oh, she is with you," Roshini smiled.

"Yeah... We came out of the house. Now we are in my friend's home."

"Okay, and about tomorrow?" She asked that in a little hesitation.

"Yeah I already said that to Siddharth. Anyways we are getting married tomorrow in Perur temple. Be there at 8.00am in the morning," he said and it made Roshini so happy.

(The temple is in Coimbatore, TN)

"Sure, I will be there," she agreed enthusiastically.

"Can you give the phone to Siddharth," Varun said.

"Yeah..." She handed the phone to Siddharth.

He said Okay and yes on the phone and ended the call. Roshini can understand how nice Siddharth was with everyone. His helping nature and taking responsibility for the people around really attracted her than anything. His looks and charms may have drawn her attention but that mere attraction turned into love because of his unimaginable qualities since she doesn't have an idea that Siddharth will be this good.

What else she can do than falling in love with a guy who is different among many people she have come across in her life.

"Now what is your plan?" He asked clearing her dream world.

"Ah... Nothing I am planning to leave since I don't have anything to do right."

"No, don't leave. I am having some plans first have lunch with me, then let's go out to buy a gift for your friend Nidhi," he said and that literally surprised her.

That very moment Roshini wanted to pinch his cheeks for being so nice and also giving this wonderful idea. Whoa, what a guy you are Sid! Roshini left out a sigh thinking all this.

"What you say?" He asked.

"Hmm okay," Roshini gladly agreed without any hesitation.

"Let's leave at 1.30, I am some work, okay?" He asked and Roshini nodded as yes.

"Then I am going to library, let's not leave together. You know people are talking too much about our relationship, so..."

"Okay, you go I will come and pick you there," he said and left.

Roshini then packed her bag and walked to library carrying an umbrella. Today she wore a sandal colored salwar and braided her hair neatly. She doesn't know whether she is beautiful enough to attract him but she wondered how he got a crush on her.

Because I am similar like him or am I a good person? she thought but the answer only Siddharth knows.

She went into the library and searched for an aptitude book, since her professors were scaring them about placements so she now itself started preparing for that.

Then she sat on the desk and looked out from the window. Rain! It is something that she likes the most and this day was even more bliss because of this.

That moment Roshini reminded about her mission of confessing his love to Siddharth. Though she wanted to do it, she can't put herself fully into it. At present, she wants to remain like this... Like she is not at all interested in him.

After sometime Siddharth came inside the library, he searched for Roshini and found her near the window side seat. He carried that pleasant smile and went near her.

If love can make oneself more enthusiastic and eager then Siddharth was that example. The day he found that he is in love with her, from that very day he has an unknown longing to be with her. Her everything made him fall for her deeper and deeper so that he can never get over of it.

"Roshini," he called her name gently. He found the meaning of her name as light. Yeah, she is indeed a brightest person I have ever met in my life, he thought and that made him grin.

Roshini was always confused about his smile he had every time when his eyes met hers. But she doesn't know the fact that he is falling crazily for that slight glimpse of hers.

"Sorry I am late, are you hungry?"

"No," she smiled. He gazed at that aptitude book and Roshini like demanding an explanation.

"I am preparing for placements," she reasoned.

"Now itself?" He exclaimed. "Yeah!" She said and went out.

Entering the book on the counter Roshini went to take her bag and Siddharth waited for her.

This day must be a lucky day for him since he got the chance to be with her.

"Where do you want to eat?" He asked her while driving.

"Your wish!"

"And I heard next week there is a match for you," Roshini asked.

"Yeah. I am having practice at the weekend."

"I will come and cheer you then."

He stopped the car before a hotel, it seemed rich and sophisticated. Roshini followed him in and sat in a place as the place was devoid of the crowd.

They ordered few items and looked each other, "Roshini talk something," he asked.

"Ah... What to talk about? Yeah! you know what I have heard a rumor about me and you." Roshini said.

"What is that?"

"That is very cheap, silly and disgusting. But you have to know that people for having an ability to speak they are speaking whatever they want." Roshini irritatingly said.

"What is that stupid thing?" He chuckled.

"That is.... You and I have done everything."

"What?"

"Can't you understand? They were assuming that We have done that thing before marriage itself," she said and his smile faded away.

"Who said that?"

"I don't know, but one of my friends asked this and enlighten me about this rumor," Roshini said in a very sad tone.

"I am sorry," Siddharth apologized.

"Leave it, this world will never try to understand the truth instead wanted to believe the liars and rumors. Cause it is entertaining right!" Roshini smiled.

Siddharth nodded his head as yes. After having the lunch Siddharth then drove to a Mall for purchasing a gift.

Siddharth searched gifts for Varun and Roshini for Nidhi.

Siddharth chosen a watch and trimmer as gift. It is thoughtful and useful. While looking he saw a girl watching... Without a second thought, He took that and asked it to the bill along with the other gifts.

Roshini knows Nidhi needs dress analyzing her situation so she went to the cloth shop and purchased tops and few leggings which are dark in colors because it will attract Varun more.

After purchasing Siddharth paid the bills. He had an extra package that he gave to Roshini after they can out of the mall. She hesitated to take that but he told one thing, 'take it or don't talk with me' so she took the gift.

He dropped her in her street and left telling her to be ready at 8.00 am in the morning.

Roshini instantly went to her room and locked the door. She opened it in a rush to see what is in?

Once she found her heart slowed down, it was a watch with heart pendants attached to the bracelet. There is a note on the box...

Love Siddharth.

She blankly stared at them without knowing what she has to do further.
