Getting Arrested

Getting Arrested
\-Blake-

My heart churned, unease growing as I drove alone to the location Alpha Hartman sent, my car humming through the darkening woods, my hands gripping the wheel.

My Alpha presence unshaken despite the storm inside.

Why meet here? The isolation felt deliberate, a setup, the coincidence of this summons, right after Sofia's outburst, like a calculated move to corner me.

I parked, my steps steady on the leaf-strewn path, my jacket loose as I approached the secluded house, his men guarding the entrance, their heads bowing in recognition as I passed, their respect fueling my confidence.

I entered the room, finding him seated alone, a bottle of whiskey before him, his eyes sharp, assessing.

"Greetings," I said, my voice calm, my gaze steady, my charm masking my suspicion. He nodded, his tone neutral.

"Sit, Blake." His casualness irritated me, but I complied, my posture tall, commanding. "You wanted to talk. I'm here," I said, my voice firm, my eyes locking his.

He leaned forward, his voice direct. "Your wedding to Sofia. Let's set a date tonight." His demand sparked anger, my jaw tightening, my heart racing.

Why the rush? I sensed Sofia's hand in this, her desperation driving him. "Why urgent? Something I should know?" I asked, my tone even, probing.

He smiled faintly, his eyes narrowing. "To end doubts and rumors." His words hinted at more, my patience thinning.

Doubts? Rumors? "What doubts?" I pressed, my voice low, my Alpha authority subtly pressing.

He scoffed, his tone hardening. "That hunter girl. Stay away from her." His command ignited fury, my breath steadying, my gaze piercing.

Surely he definitely knows about Matilda. "You know her identity?" I asked, my voice calm but sharp.

He nodded, his expression unyielding. "Yes, but that changes nothing." My heart steadied, my smile sly, my charm effortless to unsettle him.

"You know the prophecy too?" His face darkened, his voice rising.

"I don't believe in that nonsense!" His denial was fierce, but my confidence held, my tone mocking.

"But I do, and it's clear, she's meant for me, not Sofia." My declaration was bold, my eyes unblinking.

He slammed his fist, his voice booming. "Don't start a war you can't win!" His threat fueled my defiance, my voice cold.

"I was born in war and blood. Don't cross me." My words were sharp, my Alpha aura radiating, overwhelming him.

He leaned back, his eyes blazing. "I'll do anything to protect my daughter's place." His vow was fierce, but my resolve was iron.

"Try it, and face the consequences." My challenge was direct, my stance unyielding.

He stood, his voice venomous. "You'll regret this." His warning hung heavy, but my heart remained steady, my Alpha pride unbreakable. I turned, my steps deliberate, walking out of the house angrily.

The anger burning inside of me was unexplainable, fury coursing through me as I stormed out from meeting Alpha Hartman, his threats still ringing, his audacity fueling my rage.

Why challenge me now? The coincidence of this clash, right after all the receipts events, felt like a deliberate twist of fate, pushing me to prove my strength.

I slid into my car, my hands gripping the wheel, my Alpha presence unyielding, my jaw tight as I sped through the woods, the night air cool against my face.

My thoughts churned, Matilda's safety at stake, Hartman's words a spark to my defiance.

Why target her? After fifteen minutes, lights flashed ahead, blocking the road, my senses sharpening, a strange scent hitting me.

Rogues. My pulse quickened, danger clear, my car slowing as I stopped, my steps calm as I exited, my posture tall, commanding.

They must have followed me right from when I first drove to see alpha Hartman.

Or, could it be alpha Hartman who sent them? I was lost in a dilemma, but I knew whoever sent them doesn't matter at this time.

What matters now, I to overpower them and make sure to possibly get information from them.

I also noticed that they were about twenty of them, as I could smell their scents and it's about that same number.

They were masked, their leader in front, his stance bold but weak against my aura.

"To what do I owe this visit?" I asked, my voice steady, confidence radiating, my eyes locking his.

He sneered, his tone rough. "Simple. We take you out, then the hunter girl for her blood."

Her name on his lips ignited fury, my heart pounding, my Alpha senses heightening, catching their whispers.

"When he transforms, inject him," one muttered, unaware I heard. Fools. "You picked the wrong night," I growled, my voice booming, my anger peaking.

"I'm already furious." They flinched, their leader masking fear with bravado.

"Your mistake is not knowing I'm deadlier untransformed," I said, my tone icy, my movements swift, snapping their necks and limbs with lethal precision, my Alpha strength overwhelming.

They fell, lifeless, before they could react, my rage a controlled storm. The leader turned to flee, my hand seizing his throat, my eyes flashing blue and red.

"Who sent you?" I demanded, my voice low, menacing. He spat, defiant. "Kill me. I won't talk." My smile was cold, my grip tightening.

"Thanks for helping me vent and thinning your kind." His throat tore under my hand, his body collapsing, my heart steady but alert.

Sirens wailed faintly, my senses sharpening. Police. I can't be seen. I rushed to my car, my steps quick, driving off, my mind racing.

Why now? The coincidence of police nearby felt like another trap, my instincts screaming caution.

I spotted a police car, Inspector Harrison's face clear in the driver's seat, my jaw tightening.

He's after me. I sped up, weaving through the woods, sirens growing louder, my heart steady but urgency rising.

He's relentless. In the city, lights bright, I stopped my car, my breath even, my Alpha calm unshaken.

The police car halted behind, and I stepped out, my posture tall, my gaze unyielding. Harrison stood before me, gun raised, his voice firm.

"McAllister, you're under arrest for multiple murders."
