Riona woke up the next morning due to disturbance as Black was seated in the chair in their spacious bathroom wearing just a towel as he was talking on the phone. She slowly blinked as she let her eyes run over the hunk of beauty she was sleeping with. Yesterday night, Black simply ate dinner and went straight to bed, not even giving Riona or glancing at her which hurt her. Angelico was right after all, he had indeed found his satisfaction elsewhere. It wasn’t that she wasn’t attracted to Black. She was very much attracted to him but he also knew that it was a bad idea to sleep with someone else husband. She wasn’t Farah and she couldn’t be her either. That was simply stealing Black just like her best friend stole her boyfriend from her. That wasn’t a good idea, but she was jealous too. This man was literally perfection, walked and talked like a god indeed. The only smear was that he killed people. She didn’t know how long she was lost staring at him as she began to focus on what he was saying. It wasn’t actually eavesdropping if he said it in the same room with her right?
“No, cancel the flights heading to France. I am afraid that there won’t be any honeymoon. I have rather big things to spend my time on.” She heard Black say as her eyes widened in shock. She couldn’t believe what she was wearing. Was her hour over? Did he really find someone else he now liked? Why was he canceling it behind her back. It wasn’t fair. She closed her eyes as she felt a tear slide down her face but she continued listening.
“I have to go after Casita, she means a lot to me and I am not going to lose her to that deceitful person Kendall. She is what I care most about and the only reason I am what I am today. Every other thing is secondary.” Black said as Riona allowed her mind to wander. Who the hell was Casita? Was she his new girlfriend? Or was she his baby mama? Everything else is secondary? So was she just a nuisance then? Didn’t he feel anything for her at all? She knew that she took him from the real Farah but still. If this was Farah would he still cancel the honeymoon? Was he going to ask for a divorce? Maybe the problem was from her and no one else? Maybe she couldn’t actually keep a guy. That had got to be the reason why she was made secondary all the time.
“Well Farah…. Farah won’t be a problem. I can handle her, just get Michael out of that hospital and get to work okay. I have to be with Casita this night. It is a do or die affair. The longer she is away from me, the longer I can’t breathe.” This sentence broke Riona’s heart completely. Was this how low he thought of her? Was she trash now. This had to end, she had to make Black stop with this hurtful statement. She quickly sat up on the bed as Black quickly said,
“Uh, I got to go now. I have to bath. Talk to you later.” He said and ended the call before standing up. He was basking in the morning rays but this time, Riona was too hurt to even acknowledge it.
“Slept well?” He said as Riona stiffly nodded. No kiss, no cute pet name, no good morning even. Jusat a brute slept well. This confirmed all her suspicions. Was she going to accuse him now? What could she even say to him? There was nothing he did wrong, she was the one at fault.
“Good morning Black, are you going out today? I was hoping we could get our things ready for the trip and possibly talk over breakfast.” She said as she pretended that she didn’t hear anything. She wanted Black to confirm the words with his own mouth.
“I can’t. I have to be somewhere, I will be gone for the whole day and maybe next. I will bathe now.” He said as he turned and walked to the bathroom as Riona nodded her head. She wasn’t going to break down, no she was going to act like she didn’t feel a thing. There was no way that she was going to show him that she was weak. Immediately she got up from the bed and wore her bathroom robe and knotted it and wore the flip flops that the maids had dropped the day before before taking her phone on the table as she made to walk to the garden. It was still 6am so Mrs Selena would probably be asleep. That way she can have her privacy.
Settling down in the bench, she sighed as she unlocked her phone and decided to scroll through her newsfeed. She missed her old life, by now she was going to be prepring for her work but since she was married, she had no job and she doubt that Black was going to let her cross the gate. She felt like a prisoner in her own house. Was this was really married women felt like when their husband was super rich. This was probably the reason why they cheat.
Shaking her head to remove the awful thoughts, she decided to concentrate on her face book. She was barely going through her facebook when her phone started ringing. She saw the Caller ID and it was an unknown number, Frowning she picked up the call.
“Hello?” She said slowly and winced as she pulled the phone from her ears.
****************
Black and Mikey, were back, in Mikey’s pent house, as they were searching for places, Kendall could possibly be hiding them.
Have you checked, the database, for warehouses, here in the city, that is abandoned, or no longer in use. Since Kendall won’t be able to get Casita, through airport, as she is popular. He wouldn’t want to risk the securities arresting him, so he would have to stay here, and hid them somewhere safe, possibly, around the outskirts of the city. Black said from, where he was cleaning his weapons, that he was going to use.
I am, already working on, that. Ahead of you. But there are 55 warehouses, abandoned or no longer in use, I have gone through 23 of them, but they either seem, too small or too obvious, or out of bounds. Mikey replied.
Have you tried cross referencing the warehouses against owners who are dead. I mean, warehouses that has no owners, belongs to nobody so nobody can claim a claim on it, so it will be left alone……
Giving Kendall the perfect hideout, to carry out his activities. Yes! Why didn’t I think of that? Mikey reprimanded himself, as he typed away on, his laptop.
Don’t be too hard on yourself, okay, everyone needs a little help, now in a while you know. Black m said as Mikey shot up, from his seat, in joy.
What happened? Black asked looking surprised.
I found him… okay not technically, but I did the cross referencing and it was only two warehouses that had been not claimed at all, by anyone. More like a haunted building used during Halloween, but Halloween isn’t here. I got one off, at Barrington avenue, and the second one at Michigan Valley, but the one at Michigan Valley…
Is close to the port, and people passes them, all the time. It would be hard for them to torture their victims there, because the screams would alert the passersby, so I am betting on the one, at Barrington, avenue. Black completed it, as Mikey nodded his head.
Wow, so we got him, finally. After all these time, what are we going to do about it, I should probably call more guys, and maybe alert the police. Also, I need to get some gears, I need guns, a lot of them, and maybe throw able knives, that would be easy to handle……Mikey was caught short by Black who said,
It is only I, that is going. No backups, no joining forces.
Wait, why? What do you mean? You are still angry about the fact that I shot you. I told you it was an accident, I am sorry for not talking to you yesterday but I was worried about Michael. Please let me help. Mikey asked shocked, he couldn’t understand, what was happening. Why did Black refuse his help?
Exhaling, deeply, Black dropped his bag containing his weapons, as he held him, by both shoulders.
Mikey you are my brother, my best friend, and you have always been with, me, through it all. There is no one else, that I trust, on earth, then you, but I don’t want you to go, on this suicide mission, with me, Kendall doesn’t know you, nor the fact you exist, he has already made me, his enemy, I would not be happy, knowing he has made you his enemy. This is my battle, and I must fight it, alone. Besides what I want you to do, is to stay here, and keep, an eye on Michael, my mum and Farah too. Black said as Derrick, nodded his head as he understood, why Black didn’t want him, to tag along, he wanted someone to watch over the people he loved.
