Chapter 34 CHAPTER 034
Ari POV:
Did he think calling his whore into the room to taunt me would make me obey his rules? Was that supposed to shut me up? I wondered as I watched Sierra swaying her hips towards him, her lips curling into a malicious smile that made my stomach churn.
She stole a slow glance at me, like I was already beneath the sole of her shoes, as she knelt between his spread thighs, her fingers tracing the outline of his hardening cock through his pants.
"Hm." I breathed out heavily. I had seen a hint of his length and had almost passed out. What would it be like to see him up close?
The sound of his zipper lowering was deliberately loud in the quiet room. My breath seized as Sierra wrapped her manicured fingers around his length through his pant. She leaned forward and dragged her tongue over his skin, while she slowly unbuttoned his shirt.
I shouldn't have looked when she dug into his pants, but I did. And I regretted that decision almost immediately.
His cock sprang free, looking thick and flushed, already glistening with precum at the tip. Sierra didn’t hesitate as she licked a slow stripe from the base to the head, her pink tongue flicking against the slit before taking him into her mouth with so much ease. A groan rumbled from Stone’s chest, his fingers tangling in her hair as she hollowed her cheeks, bobbing with obscene wet sounds that filled the room.
My thighs clenched involuntarily, heat gathering in the low pit of my belly. Shame curled in my throat, but I couldn’t tear my eyes away.
The slide of her lips and the flick of her tongue sent a jolt through me. The way she moaned around him, like she was savoring the taste, made my skin prickle with an unwelcome feeling of guilt and shame. Stone’s gaze burned into the side of my face, watching me watch her.
His smirk was cruel and knowing as he spoke, "I hope you're learning something, Ari. You learn that in this pack," he pushed her head even lower, until Sierra’s moan turned into a wet choking sound, "You will always be below me."
Sierra’s fingers dug into his thighs as she took him even deeper, gagging loudly before pulling back with a gasp, her lips swollen and slick.
"See something you like?" Stone taunted, his voice sounding rough.
I swallowed hard, my pulse pounding between my legs. Betrayed by my own body, I squeezed my thighs tighter, but it only made the ache worse. Sierra’s hand joined her mouth, stroking what she couldn’t take, her nails scraping lightly along his length. Stone’s hips jerked, his breath coming faster, and I hated myself for wondering how it would feel to be the one on my knees.
Then Sierra pulled off with a pop, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. "Next time," she purred, glancing at me, "maybe you’ll learn how to kneel properly."
Stone laughed darkly, tucking himself back in. "I doubt that."
My face burned. I’d never felt so exposed. Or so empty about something. But with what Alpha Stone just did, there is no doubt I was going to step on more toes than his own. Sierra stood gracefully, wiping the corner of her mouth slowly. Her fingers lingered near her lips as she turned to face Stone, who had risen from the couch like a lion who just had a feast.
The silence that settled on all of us was as thick as a donkey's behind. And for fear of what Stone might do to me again, I remained in the dark corner, watching.
"When are you going to send her away?" Sierra’s voice was honeyed, but beneath the sweetness, desperation held at her words.
She stepped closer to him, her fingers brushing the undone buttons of his shirt. "There are powerful witches in the northern territories who can sever the bond without complications. You don’t have to keep her here like some... house pet."
Stone’s expression remained unreadable, but his jaw tensed as he caught her wrist, halting her advance. "That’s not your concern."
Sierra’s breath hitched. She pressed forward despite the warning in his expression. "I did everything for you," she whispered, her voice cracking. "I studied medicine, I even trained under my mother, all so you would see me." Her fingers curled into his shirt, her knuckles cracking with how strong she gripped him. "I waited years, Alpha Stone. And now you bring her into your bedchamber?"
I shifted uncomfortably in the corner, feeling the way my stomach twisted. Sierra’s words were pathetic. It was like watching someone flay their own skin open for scraps of attention.
Stone exhaled sharply, his grip tightening until Sierra winced. "You know, sometimes, when I think you have gained an iota of wisdom, you just overstep your boundary. Do you not know when to stop?"
Undeterred, Sierra tilted her chin up, her eyes glistening. "Tell me what I lack," she demanded. "Tell me, and I’ll be perfect."
The silence that followed was suffocating. Then Stone released her with a rough shove. "You lack nothing," he said coldly. "That’s the problem."
Sierra staggered back, her face crumbling.
I looked away before Sierra could see me wince.
"I hope one day," Sierra whispered, her voice raw with the kind of desperation that scrapes at bones and stabs one in the heart, "you open your eyes and realize I’m the only one who ever loved you." Her fingers hovered near Stone's chest for a second too long, like she might press her palm flat over his heart and feel nothing.
Then she turned on her heel, her shoes clicking like a death knell across the floorboards before the door shuddered shut behind her.
I peeled myself from the dark, half-expecting to find some flicker of remorse in Stone’s face, or at least, a tightening of his jaw. But his expression looked like it was carved from stone, blank and lifeless as a statue’s. It had the kind of emptiness that makes you wonder if he ever felt anything at all.
'How could Sierra ever think she stood a chance with a devil like that?'
