EMBER'S POV
I didn’t sleep the night he saved me.
Not because I was afraid—but because I wasn’t. That terrified me more than the glowing eyes in the woods, more than the blood-matted fur and growls that echoed through the trees. I should’ve run from him. I should’ve feared the Alpha who’d torn through that pack like fire on dry grass. But I didn’t.
Even now, lying beneath a thin blanket on the floor of his cabin, I can still feel the weight of his gaze from across the room. That night plays over and over again in my mind like a fever dream. The moment he stepped between me and those wolves, his voice—a snarl of command—sent shivers down my spine.
He didn't just fight them off. He claimed the moment, like he’d claimed something in me.
It wasn’t just the heat of battle that had my blood racing—it was him. The way he towered, the way his scent clung to the air, wild and cedar-sharp. The way his hand lingered on my waist just a little too long when he checked me for injuries. As if he was torn between restraint and something… animal.
Since then, we’ve circled each other like magnets with broken rules. I test his patience. He tests my pulse. And yet, we never cross the line.
Until tonight.
He’s watching me now. I can feel it in the way the air charges around us, as if it’s waiting for something to break. The fire crackles in the hearth, casting amber light across his bare chest as he stands by the window, silent, brooding. He hasn’t spoken since I told him I couldn’t stop thinking about him.
I shift slightly, pretending to adjust the blanket. Truth is, I’m restless. My thoughts won't be quiet. Not after everything we’ve avoided. Not with him so close. The tension between us feels like a string pulled taut, waiting to snap.
“Can’t sleep?” His voice is low, rough velvet.
I shake my head.
He turns. The shadows hug his frame like they’re drawn to him. “Come here, Ember.”
My breath catches. Not because I’m afraid. But because I know if I stand, I won’t walk back the same.
I rise anyway.
We stop only inches apart. His hand brushes my cheek, and the gentleness in that touch nearly undoes me. This is the same man who brought down three wolves with nothing but his claws and fury—and now he touches me like I’m made of fragile light.
“You don’t have to be afraid of me,” he says.
“I’m not,” I whisper. “That’s the problem.”
His eyes darken, wild and controlled all at once. “You’re not just some trespasser, Ember. I felt it the second I saw you. You’re mine.”
And then, slowly, deliberately, his hand slides to the back of my neck, pulling me into him—not forcing, not rushing, just claiming. Our lips don’t touch yet. He hovers there, letting the storm between us spiral into something unbearable.
And when it finally happens—when our mouths meet—it’s not a kiss. It’s a breaking point.
He pushes his lips inside my mouth and I lick them. My eyes close and my breaths were gasps of relief.
Before now, he always dared me, ignited the fire in me and let me burn without quenching. His claws on my skin, and the hot breath prickling my neck would leave me falling in his arms and he would lift me like a leaf.
But after rescuing me from those wolf packs, I knew from the way he treated my injuries that he was going to claim me this very night. I anticipated it, still with a bit of uncertainty.
Then his sharp claws dig deeper in my waist—only lightly. His tongue and mine collides—wet, slurpy and sensational. I love the way he tastes. It’s an unfamiliar taste but it still feels awesome—everything about him is awesome… and supernatural.
I put my arms on his shoulder and place my palm on the back of his head. He suck my lips and bite them lightly. Then I Iift a leg and put it around him. He lifts me up from my as and now my legs wrap his waist—tight, unrelenting as we continue to kiss without breaking apart for a second.
He gently walks me to the bed and lays me there. He relaxes himself on me, his body between my parted legs. I swivel my hips beneath him, moaning as he pushes himself back and forth on me.
He is already very hard, physically set to claim me. But he first needs me to be mentally ready to receive him. He breaks the kiss and asks for the one hundredth time since I knew him.
“Do you believe you’re mine?” He whispered.
I nod, unhesitatingly. “Yes.. yes I do.”
He leans in and plants a kiss on my forehead. I close my eyes and he plants one on my eye lid—soft and gentle. Then on my nose, my cheek, down to my chin, and finally my lips—claiming, biting, sucking like a hungry monster.
I gasp, I can feel the hunger and desire in his kisses. He says I am the one whom he waited for decades to unite with. Now I'm here, he’ll make sure he takes everything he's missed for all those years in just one night.
Then he reaches for the buttons of my shirt and slowly undo them. My brsts are guided up behind my red bra. He leans in and kisses my cleavage with gasps of satisfaction and light moans.
I lift my hips from the bed and then my waist, my head rumpling the pillows as I moan. He stick his both hands in my bra and take out my brsts. They spill out gorgeously, round, firm and my niples stand—hard, subtly inviting his lips.

He withdraws his mouth and slides my sleeves down my shoulders and loosens the hook of my bra. He tosses it away like we would never need it again. He reaches for my trousers and drags them down my legs. Now I laid stark nude. He keeps his eyes fixed on my slender figure and plumpy bbs as he takes off his shirt and trouser.
He slowly kneels between my legs, my entire body shivers in anticipation, my spines are cold as ice, my lips part, releasing heavy breaths. He leans in and holds his weight up with his hands on either sides of my head, his heavy ck dangles on my psy as he looks into my eyes for a long moment. Then I whisper to him.
“I'm a virgin,” my voice is barely audible.

I close my eyes and bite my lip, bracing myself for the pain I am about to receive. I feel his tip at my entrance but there was no pain. I know it would come sooner but the feeling of just his tip expanding my entrance was one level I have reached in my entire life.
I throw my legs in the air and moan. He goes deeper, slow and steady and I twirl my hips. My breaths manage to be still in my throat. But suddenly I feel something sharp and painful transport through my whole body. My breath hitches and I clutch his neck tightly as if that would help me relieve the pain.
I scream but he doesn't stop pushing himself further in my psy. He goes deeper until the pain mixes up with a bit of pleasure. He barely take his ck out and I feel a sting of pain, but it subsides in a few seconds. He pushes it in again and I barely feel anything apart from pleasure. I moan and he heaves a sigh of relief.

“You didn't even cm yet but you pulled out,” I say with concern.
“You're satisfied and that matters more than anything,” he responded quietly.
I smile, feeling like the luckiest woman ever. As long as my Alpha is here to protect me and see to my every need, I accept this world with my whole heart. I am already attached and there is no going back.
