Chapter 58: Chapter Fifty-Eight
Omniscient Narrative
Dylan buried his face in his hands, tears flowing freely down his cheeks, mourning not just the loss of his parents' acceptance, but also the childhood dreams of a harmonious family that had seemed so attainable. It felt as though entire pieces of himself had been forcibly ripped away.
The room was too quiet—the absence of love and understanding replaced by a sense of emptiness, echoing the conversation he had just endured. He longed for the laughter and warmth he had shared with Von and Michael.
Finally, he recollected himself, forcing himself to look back at the photographs lining his walls.
He remembered the way Von's large hands enveloped his in a warm embrace, reminding him that he was cherished. He recalled the way Michael always sought to uplift him, painting his world in shades of happiness.
Picking up his phone again, he opened the group chat with Von and Michael, his heart racing as he typed out a message: "I need you guys. Can we talk?"
Within minutes, his heart lifted as responses flooded in—words of comfort and support that reminded him he was not alone. Michael's reply echoed in his heart: "We're here for you, Dylan. Always."
Each word brought warmth to the cold void left by his parents. The threads of connection with Von and Michael grew stronger as they enveloped him with love, reminding him that family wasn't just about blood, it was about the choices one made in relationships.
As he waited for their arrival, he allowed himself to cry, transforming the pain into something tangible, a painful reminder that while his blood family might not accept him, there were others who wrapped around him like an unbreakable shield. These were the people he had chosen, and in that choice, he found his strength.
...
The door creaked open much later that evening, revealing Von and Michael standing side by side. The sight of them pushed back the shadows that had lain heavy upon Dylan's heart.
"Hey, we came as quickly as we could." Michael said, concern etching his features.
Dylan fell into their embrace, the warmth of their bodies grounding him. "Thank you for being here," he murmured into their shoulders, the emotional dam finally breaking as he allowed his feelings to rush forth.
"Always," Von replied, pulling back to look at him. His eyes glimmered with sincerity. "What happened?" His eyes ached as he saw the state Dylan was in.
Dylan took a shaky breath, recounting the traumatic conversation he had with his parents, the dismissive tone of their responses, the cruelty that had seeped from their lips. As he spoke, he felt the tension ease just a little—the weight of his burden lightened by sharing it with those who loved him.
"Those bastards" Michael yelled out, his brow furrowed in anger. "I am going to kill those sorry excuse of human beings." He was genuinely angry.
"No Micheal, we have to be civil for Dylan ," Von added firmly though he was angry, even more than Micheal . "You're so much more than what they think. You deserve love, happiness, and the freedom to choose who you want in your life. You're loved here, by us." He spoke as he tried to keep his anger down, he can't let Dylan deal with his anger while he's going through this.
Dylan looked into their eyes, and for the first time since the call with his parents, he felt a flicker of hope. "Thank you. For being who you are." He sadly spoke.
"Let's not focus on them," Michael suggested gently, wiping a stray tear from Dylan's cheek. "We're here for you. You're safe with us."
"Yeah," said Von, a protective fierceness sparking in his demeanor. "You're our priority now. Whatever you need."
The two men spent the night cuddling with their boyfriend, showering him with kisses and promising words .
****Flashback over****
And now you know why he was scared and wants to quit. His parents were evil and would stoop low just to win.
"They won't do shit baby, nothing I promise you" Micheal said
"What if they hire a private investigator" his eyes moved from von to Micheal slightly panicking
"I know them, they'll try to find you guys and then try to threaten you guys to leave me" he shook his head as he buried his face in his palms,.
"I'll like to see them fucking try" Micheal said
"They won't, I promise you" Von reassured again
"They won't do anything, and if you want to quit, we support you little one" Von said trying to be the matured one.
"I'll have my mother speak with some people and get you a new job, don't worry" he said before giving him a kiss on the head
"Now let's continue watching the show you forced us to watch" Von said turning to the television
"I didn't force you" Dylan yelled in shock "you're watching it voluntarily" he playfully glared at him, they were watching All American
"And you love it" he accused to which Von said nothing but fixed his attention to the television,
"Whatever" he said as he leaned back on the couch making Dylan lay on him and out his leg on Micheal thighs who wad also leaning back.
"I'd totally let Spencer bend me over" Micheal said as a scene of Spencer bench pressing came up, sweats all over his body, looking over at Von waiting for a reaction
"I can't even be mad, I'd like to have a threesome with him and Olivia" he returned the smirk to Micheal making them High-five
"I'd let Asher bend me over" Dylan innocently said making his boyfry3ndz look at him with raised brows
"You said the same thing too" he yelled with accusing voice, I know baby, I was just playing" Von said kissing his head.
"Damn, Jordan can get it tooo" Micheal whistled
"Hey now" Von warned making Micheal laugh.
"I'm just playing baby" he leaned to von and kissed him,
The three men continued watching the television.
"Do you think your parents will like us?" Dylan looked up at Von, his eyes asking him with hope in them.
"They'll love you, especially my mom and my sister Hilary" he pecked his forehead
"And you.." he pointed at Micheal. "Stay away from my sister Ashley and my cousin Ty, they love pulling my leg and I know you'd fit in perfectly with their 'crew' " Von said as he rolled his eyes watching Micheal's face light up.
"I'm definitely going to be best friends with them" he said as he started thinking of ways to team up with them against Von.
