Chapter 8
This time he writes I love you and no one pays attention to who the main character is because everyone is so used to substituting him and Victoria.
When I heard a coworker mention it, I smiled indifferently and responded with little concern, "Really?"
I didn't follow the follow-up.
The boss did say that there was a big order from abroad, and the client was very satisfied after seeing my proposal, and asked me if I was willing to travel for a long period of time.
If it were before, I would have thought twice about it.
"Go! What a great opportunity, I'm going to win the sale this year!" I agreed instantly.
The boss laughed: "Don't you even have to talk to your family?"
"No, my parents are very supportive of my choice." I returned.
"No, I'm talking about your boyfriend."
I froze for a moment and returned, "Sorry, sis single."
I agreed to go out of the country to the branch to take over this big order just half a month later.
I had to get a temporary passport because I hadn't been out of the country.
At night, I lay in bed and talked to my parents about going abroad, and they were as supportive as I thought they would be.
My mom said, "I don't have a problem with you going abroad, but you need to talk to Oliver about it, and don't do anything you'll regret."
Hearing this, I choked and said in a subdued voice, "Mom, Oliver and I broke up."
"Did ... he bring it up?" My mom asked carefully.
"No, it's me." I replied calmly.
She seemed incredulous and told me not to joke around.
Also, when I was chasing him with a bang, I hated for the whole world to know.
For him, I even took cooking lessons with my mom to learn how to be a good girlfriend.
I like him so much, how can I give up so easily.
"Diane, have you thought this through and won't you regret it? There's no turning back if you regret it."
"I've thought this through, Mom, and don't worry, I won't regret it."
Hearing my categorical promise, my mom accepted the fact: "Then come back if you're tired and want to rest after taking a big order, mom and dad miss you too, come home when you're tired, home is your shelter forever."
I choked back a sob and said yes.
At home Mom and Dad never let me in the kitchen, and I never even washed a single dish.
I was pampered by them at the tip of their hearts, and in all these years, I didn't do a single heavy job.
But with Oliver, it's like I can do anything.
As funny to think about as being unschooled.
I shook the worries out of my head and turned on my cell phone to surf the web.
Only to see the video Oliver posted online.
In the video, his suit was straight, his face was cold and serious word for word: "The last video was sent by my sister, not my girlfriend, everyone should stop commenting on those words of blessing randomly, if you really want to bless it, you should bless me and my real girlfriend."
As the heat of the video continued to build, he came out to explain.
I watched the video and then clicked into Twitter, only to realize that the small group at work had blown up.
Both are talking about their knockout CP disillusionment.
"Should I say no, why do I think the girl's back in the second video looks so much like Diane Yu."
"Yeah, that bag really looks like Diane's eh."
"Holy shit, it's not like Diane Yu is this bully's girlfriend, is it?"
Watching my coworkers name-dropping me and Etching me.
I snapped my head and typed three quick words, "Not me."
I'm still a little weak from sending those words.
My coworkers don't believe me. They say it all looks like me.
I had no choice but to continue replying, "It's really not me, sis is single, I'll be pissed if you guys influence me to get a date."
Until the boss finished saying that he would soon be going abroad to stay in the branch for a while, which boyfriend would like to be separated from his girlfriend for so long ah.
The girls quieted down then.
