His tone was a little cold, clearly upset by Wendy's irrationality.

Wendy, however, was unforgiving, "Heh! What do you cripples know! She must have some special fetish to look at you, or else ... just with your ghostly appearance, why do you think she would look at you?"

"Right! Am I right, Madeleine, you're not having a moo-mutilation mentality, are you!"

My face sank as I saw her getting more and more out of line.

I slowly walked over to Wendy and then whispered in her ear.

"Do you really think you hid what you did with William well?"

Wendy was taken aback by my words and her face instantly turned pale.

She obviously didn't expect me to know her secret.

She jerked her head up, panic in her eyes, "What do you ... you know?"

I smiled slightly and didn't answer her question, just said lightly, "Now, can we talk properly?"

Wendy was obviously holding my lifeblood and didn't dare to be as arrogant as before.

She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself before speaking, "Ms. Buckland, it was my bad attitude before, and I apologize. However, I also want you to realize that the Dyer family's business is not as simple as you think, and you'd better mind your own business."

I raised an eyebrow, noncommittal.

"I've known about this since the first day I entered your Dyer family, and I didn't mean to be nosy, but you're going against me, do you hate your brother that much?"

A moment of embarrassment flashed across Wendy's face.

And I was right, so the woman blamed Jason for all of her less-than-stellar behavior.

It's ridiculous! Obviously Sonia she did the disgraceful thing herself, even if she hired someone else's husband, she abused someone else's child, it's really bad.
