Chapter 46 — Kian Taylor
I slowly opened my eyes, and a sharp pain shot through my head. I looked around for a few seconds and didn’t understand where I was? But after observing the small room, the memories of last night flashed through my mind.
They had thrown me here like an animal. My hands were free, but my ankles were locked together in chains. Even if I wanted to get out of here, I wouldn’t be able to escape because they had caged me carefully.
I heard waves crash through the small open window and it meant that I was somewhere near the seaside. I was trying to stand on my feet, but I couldn’t because the chains around my legs were tight and heavy. My mind drifted to my husband. Henry, he would be worried about me, I hoped Ava would tell him everything.
No! But she was also attacked, and it might be possible that they brought her here, too. I was hoping she would be fine.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and a shadow appeared. “Alice.” I heard a familiar female voice, and I didn’t take a second to recognize her. Jessica! How could she do this to me?
I closed my eyes as I accepted the truth that I was being betrayed by the closest person to my heart. “Feeling the pain, hurt, betrayal?” She mocked and stepped in front of me with her arms crossed over her chest. She wore a brown leather jacket and black tight jeans, different from the floral dress she was wearing when she worked for us.
“Just shut up and get out of my sight. You’re sick!” I growled at her. “I loathe you, Jessica!”
She bent down and fisted my hair in her hand. “You loathe me? Then what will you do, when you find the whole truth?”
I winced in the pain as she yanked my hair off my skull. “What do you mean?”
She tossed my head onto the floor and made me cry out in pain. She released me from her harsh grip. “It was all planned by your lovely friend Ava,” she said, amusingly. “She is the one who wanted to kill you first. She wanted to replace you. She hates you so much, Alice. Hate isn’t a word that could express how much she wanted to get rid of you. She was the one who helped us in your kidnapping. You might have thought she was trying to save you by putting her life in danger. Poor you.” She scoffed. “You know how much I tried to hurt you but Jones and Joseph always stuck you around like a magnet. For two years I have been spying on Robinson’s family so that I could avenge my brother. And now we get you here.”
She stood up and crossed her arms over her chest, smirking. “You don’t know, Alice, what you mean for Henry. When the first time I stepped into his life, I thought there was nothing left to destroy him again. But then you come and everything has changed. You are everything to him and now we are going to kill his only happiness and turn his—” Before she could finish, a man's voice echoed.
“Baby.” He entered the room with his thudding boot sound. I knew who he was. Kian Taylor. Finally, I was going to see the person who had hurt my husband, who had killed his mother and sister. And If I would get a chance to kill him, then I would grab it. I wanted him dead.
He stepped in front of my face, but before I could see his face. He moved first; he kneeled in front of me and now we were facing each other.
When I met his green eyes, I felt a jolt of fear run down my spine. His eyes were scarier than the haunted dog. He was muscular and every inch of his body was covered with black ink, but his hair was gray. “Nice to meet you again,” he said and pushed his hand for a handshake as if he had kidnapped me here for some kind of business meeting.
“Fuck off!” I spat into his face.
He smirked and wiped his face clean. “I like your feistiness. I like you.” He ran his fingers through my hair. “I like your gorgeous body and I like your beautiful face. No doubt Henry has fallen into you. But he has played enough and now it’s my chance to play with you. With your gorgeous body,” he sneered and moved his hand down and slightly squeezed my right breast.
Without thinking twice, I hit him hard in the face, causing him to redden his face. “Don’t you fucking dare to touch me, bastard!” I shouted and my eyes burned with rage.
He paused for a moment and watched me with utter shock. His eyes were blazing like hot lava. “How dare you, bitch!” He growled and punched me in my face and made me bleed with pain.
For a few seconds, I couldn’t see things properly because of the dizziness around me. His punch was hard enough that it could bruise my face.
“Baby, I’m just trying to be gentle with you but you…” He caressed my face softly like he had not hit my face a moment ago.
I narrowed my eyes. “Don’t call me baby!” I gritted out and shook away his hand.
“You don’t like being called a baby? Then what do you prefer whore, slave, or bed warmer? Anyway, you’re going to serve me sooner,” he said with a cruel smile.
I wanted to strangle his neck or rip his body to shreds as he had been doing to others, but I knew I couldn’t win this fight. “You use women! You kill them to get your revenge, and you rape them to satisfy your desire. You don’t have enough courage to fight. You use your own sister to spy on us because you are a coward. You kidnap women and rape them because no one wants you. Who wants a crazy, ugly bastard?”
And the next moment he grabbed my throat and threw me hard against the floor. My body hit the ground hard, knocking the wind out of me. “Don’t you dare, bitch! It seems like I need to teach you some manners. Jessica, untie her legs.” He ordered her and started undoing his belt. “I’m gonna fuck you so hard so that you'll never forget how to talk to me!”
“No, no, l-let me go!” I kicked him as hard as I could and snatched my hand away, trying everything to save myself. He pinned my both hands and positioned himself on top of me. He was going to rape me. I won’t let this happen. The tears ran down my face. It was a nightmare. No! No!
I had to fight until the end. I had to protect myself until Henry came to my rescue. I had to protect myself for the sake of our baby. I looked around to find something, something that could help me.
And then I saw his gun in his jacket and immediately I snatched it away and pressed it against his chest. My body was weak, but I wasn’t. I would do anything to keep me and my baby safe.
“Move!” I slammed the gun on his chest and was ready to pull the trigger at any second. “I said move!” I barked.
“You’re bold,” he said playfully and lunged over me, but before he could snatch his gun away. I immediately rolled my body to the other side and got to my feet as my legs were free from chains.
I gasped for breath and forced the gunpoint at him. “Don’t move,” I warned while stepping back away from him.
“Okay! Okay!” He chuckled and raised both hands in surrender, mocking me. “Let’s see your skills. Jessica put down your gun,” he commanded her sister and gestured something to his men, who were standing near the door. “Put down all your guns because my special guests want to show her talent.”
“Bro!” Jessica glared at her brother, but before she could speak out, KT cut her off.
“I said put down your fucking gun.” He gritted out and Jessica quickly put down her gun. “Now, show me your skill. Shoot me, baby.” He opened his arms wide to encourage me to shoot right into his chest.
And I swear I will.
I aimed the gun at him, eager to pull the trigger. “You deserve to die, KT, because you are not human, not even an animal.”
He smiled cruelly. “Only one chance. I’m giving you only one chance if you miss it then you will surrender yourself to me. You will be mine.”
“I’m not something and I won’t miss my target.”
“You will miss it, baby! Look at your hands. You don’t even know how to hold a gun properly.” I glanced down at my hand, my whole body was trembling and it was obvious to my trembled hand. “You know why I haven’t killed you yet?” He sneered, leering at my body. “Because I want to fuck you. I have wanted to fuck you since the day when the first time I set my eyes on you. And believe me, I’m gonna fuck you hard. When I get bored with your body.” He thrust his hands into his pockets.
“I will beat you to death. I will break both of your legs and then your arms. I will rip out your throat until your blood fills my room. I won’t kill you, but you will beg me to kill you just like what Henry’s sister did twenty years ago.” I felt nauseous and stumbled to my feet. His every word was piercing my chest like a stab. The terror filled my body when my mind drifted to Kelvin. He killed her cruelly. He was an insane man. I had never seen such a man in my lifetime.
“You think Henry will save you? No! He can’t save you because he'll never even think of this place. And you don’t need to worry about him. He has Ava. She will easily replace you. But the problem is that he loves you and believes me, Alice. This is the only reason you are here. It is the easiest way to make him die without touching him. He will die after seeing your rotten dead body. Killing is a different thing and torturing is different. I always prefer to torture people…”
Before he could utter another word, I immediately pulled the trigger on the gun and shot the man who was standing in front of me. I shot him and then another bullet and then one last time. I shot him three bullets in a single stroke. I closed my eyes as I heard my heartbeat throbbing against my chest. I had never used a gun before. My whole body was shuddering as it became difficult to stand on my own feet.
When I opened my eyes and saw the blood flooding the floor, relief settled on my chest but then I saw him. “What happened, baby? Shock?”
He was standing in front of me as if nothing had happened to him and his shirt was spotless. I missed the shot? No! I saw one of his guards lying on the floor, lifeless. I didn’t miss my shot, but he dodged, causing the man behind him to get shot.
“Now my turn!” He was amused and moved toward me.
I gazed at him with horror. “No!”
