Chapter Thirty Eight

**Later that evening**

Harley’s Point of View:

It had been about an hour since the guys had to leave and go and do whatever it was Ron had called them back for, and me and Sarah were still having a really good time. She had realized I wasn’t using the card Harry had left and insisted that she was going to go to the bar from now on so I couldn’t pay.

I still felt guilty spending his money, but after what felt like the millionth cocktail, the guilt faded. A little.

'Need a top up?’ I slid my glass across the table and Sarah filled it with what was left in the jug and passed it back over to me.

‘I t-think this should b-be my last one’. I told her, slurring my words, Not realizing until then just how drunk I actually felt. It's so weird, before I came to PTV, I didn’t drink, like ever, and now... well, now I do. Clearly.

I suddenly remembered how Ron reacted last time I went out with Sarah and had a bit too much to drink... Would he be mad again this time?

I hoped not.

‘Hey, you ok?’ She didn’t seem drunk at all, but I could imagine she was used to having a higher tolerance for it all.

‘Yeah, sorry, I think I’ve had a bit too much to drink’. I told her, putting the glass down. ‘I-I think I’m going to get a coffee.’ Good job we were somewhere that served things other than alcohol too.

I got up a little too quickly and instantly felt like I was going to throw up. Sarah noticed me sway and got up to help me.

‘Wow Honey, maybe you have had too much to drink after all’.

‘I-I don’t feel too good’. I admitted, holding my head and sitting back down. ‘I should probably go home.’ Sarah nodded, agreeing and pulled her phone out, calling for a cab.

I completely tuned out as she helped me to my feet again and we made our way out of the bar. The street was pretty empty, only a couple of people were out, but luckily, the bright yellow car approaching us caught my attention. I prayed to god that I wouldn’t be sick before getting in.... or while I was in it...

Harry and Sarah lived closer to the bar, so it only made sense for the taxi driver to drop her off before me. She was very unsure and didn’t want to leave me alone, but I told her I would be fine. I don’t know if it was just the fresh air or me trying to get my senses, but I didn’t feel as light headed as I did inside the bar.

‘So, big night?’ The cab driver asked, breaking the silence. I looked up.

‘Not really, double date. Drank a bit too much’. I shook my head quickly and instantly regretted it. Uh-oh, that didn’t feel good. ‘C-can you pull over?’

The driver either didn’t hear me or didn’t care, until I leaned over and vomited all over the floor. I heard the driver shout something, but wasn’t able to make out what it was and I felt the movement of the car stop. He got out and came around to my side, opening the door, I leaned my head out the door and threw up again, which earned me another incoherent shout.

When I was able to control myself. I took my belt off and climbed out of the cab. He slammed the door closed and walked back to the driver's side.

‘Wait, y-you can’t just leave me here?!’ He screamed again about how I had messed up his cab and got in, driving off, Leaving me on the side of the road.

Shit.

I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and tried to call Alexander but it was like my brain couldn’t focus and in the end, I gave up and started looking around, trying to work out where I was. I recognized some of the signs and knew I wasn’t too far from the garage.

I knew that there were signs around the streets close to it as well, Advertising their business... their legit business anyway and just started walking.

Once again, the fresh air was making me feel better, but after emptying my stomach all over the cab and road, it was hurting a little bit. I just wanted a shower, clean, cozy Pajamas and my bed!

I had been walking for what felt like forever, but in actual fact, it could have only been about 15 minutes when I heard what sounded like a motorbike. I sighed, relieved, knowing that where there were bikes, there was probably an SS member, at least, in PTV there would be.

I looked around, trying to see the bike approaching and when I did, I smiled and waited... until I realized it wasn’t one of the guys. It just zoomed past without so much as a look. Feeling stupid, I just laughed at myself and carried on walking.

I could hear another passerby, but it sounded more like a car than a bike this time. Ignoring it, I just kept my head down, praying I would turn a corner and be back at the garage, but when I heard it slow down, I looked back to see who or what it was.

It was a big, darkly colored van.

Ok, creepy.

I quickened my pace and hoped it would just drive past, but as it pulled up beside me and the side door opened, I started panicking.

Shit, shit, shit!

Before I could react in any way, two figures dressed all in black got out and grabbed me, I screamed but only for a second before a hand clamped down around my mouth. I tried to fight back, but it was no use.

They dragged me into the van and pulled the door closed again
