20. drown them in a bathtub of ice water
He stared at the paper read her information, like when she entered our area, where she went her class schedule. Then he smiled.
“this is great.” My heart skipped a beat and my hand involuntary went on my knife. Seeing this his smile grew wider when he noticed that action he covered my hand with his on my thigh, “ I meant in a way, they don’t know ACAB and Stacks are sister gangs. If I even want to accept this deal, which seems not even the slightest bit tempting, cause their numbers are way lower then I would accept means someone fucked up, but if I did, we’d have to do this through you guys according to our father’s treaty anyway. You guys bring us the shit, we just distribute, so new deals need to come through you.”
“so you won’t betray ACAB for more money.”
“I’d like to stay in town babe. I don’t want to run from your family just cause I got greedy. And if I’m thinking long term, everything is going to merge later when we come to power.” He said knowing he’s pushing it.
“shut the fuck up. I haven’t even committed. Need to call all the boys I’m hooking up..”
The back of my head slammed on the floor with Chase’s weight over mine. Felt good. His now deep blue eyes glaring at me. This was giving me major couch flashbacks,
“never speak to me like this.” He threatened. I knew the other end and with the vulnerability I had shown if he threatened to touch me, my horny ass brain would just fuck him right here, god knows it’s been a while. But we still haven’t had the chance to talk about our gang situation, even if its minor we need a discussion.
“Chase.” Omg why did that come out as a moan, my eyes widened at the new heightened part of his body pressing onto me. I cleared my throat, “Payton think’s you’ve gotten soft cause of me.” His eyes gleamed as he pulled me back up and onto his lap. He traced the loose strand of hair near my face and said, “for you, not cause of you.”
Melt would be a word I might overuse in my thoughts but melt is what my icy façade did when he said things like that.

His eyes on mine and his face so close all my thoughts see to vanish. We need to be having a conversation about taking down the skanky ass enemy, not almost making out on my bedroom floor. Especially since we’ve not had a talk with our gangs or parents about the future of the gangs. This could get split and nasty way to fast.
“gang wars.’ I blurted cause of my thoughts
“what.” He asked still distracted while his eyes roam my face and stop at my lips, oh no.
“our gangs, we cannot do this till we talk about what the outcome would lead to. We are the two people who cannot keep things casual.” I ranted looking anywhere but at him.
He got off me and we sat cross legged across each other.
"I dont want to do casual with you." he said with a straight face
"I dont get it with you, you like me but you dont even know me." i replied, he did talk sweet but what did i actually know about the dude.
"I would love an oppertunity to get to know you, right now i just know that when i look at you my body reaction can be Deciphered to be more than an infatuation"
"oh, same I guess" I blushed
“val, I know should take it slow but when it comes to the gang. It would benefit us all, we’d be the largest in the country. Divided we always had a rule and a system, but I don’t think there would be a problem.”
“but Chase, what if a few members can’t work, I mean my people follow us for my family and your people for you. They might not accept." I countered
“well we have to evolve them cause I damn sure am not going to let my gang decide who I can date for fucks sake.” He said in fury but seriousness. He’s lowkey claiming me right now, but it’s also not red flag possessive. The Chase effect.
“and our fathers?”
“well I think my dad would like you.” He said
“mine would kill you” I said
“I can dodge a bullet, literally, and a knife unless you’re at the other end of it. Then I’d give anything up.”
“oh if you cheat on me or hurt me you’re gonna have to give your life, trust me.”
“would never, could never.” He replied with a smirk, “so, are you giving me a chance to get to know you?”
“I am” I replied with a smile and I think his eyes gleamed at that, before they shrunk again, “you have to say it.” He said in all seriousness
“say what?”
“say that you like me Valerie, you’ve never said it.”
