Chapter 23: The girl by the stream

She murmured , as she walked backwards and took between her hands a hooded coat , with the intention of covering her rounded breasts and narrow waist .

Although her body was desirable , it did not really arouse any desire that made me think of releasing my low human instincts , on the contrary I felt a strong rejection towards her for her ruthless way of taking the lives of officers . Added to that the cynical way she conducted herself made me think that she was a disciple of Araticus that I had never met before .

"I am not intimidated by your nudity let alone your sadistic way of taking human life , are you some strange creation of Araticus the prince of lies ?"

My question seemed to be a joke to this evil woman .

"Araticus you said , that cheap imitation of the prince of darkness ever . I am in every way superior to him , if he is the night I am the dawn . Let's just say I work alone , I don't like the aristocratic ways of life among immortals ; I prefer to leave that to humans "

The words of that woman , no longer sounded like a simple young woman . I came to think slightly that this unknown woman had possessed the body of some young girl by the cunning and boldness with which she spoke , but that was illogical in many ways because as far as I had read vampires are not spirits that can possess a body .

"I suppose it has puzzled you that I say I am superior Araticus . Although it may seem incredible it is , creatures like us are somewhat superior to vampires , not to denigrate your race of course ."

"What do you mean you are superior to a vampire?" I thought you were a ...

"Vampire " She replied .

"Not quite , let's say I am an immortal being with abilities that exceed those of many immortal beings , but like vampires I feed on humans in the same way , and I can take a human form just like you . With the advantage that I can also eat human food , among other abilities that allow me to be a little faster than vampires . I am half vampire half wolf "

My mind wandered for several minutes as I listened to the immortal origin of this woman .

"My father was an alpha male of a wolf tribe , and my mother was a vampire with very sharp mystical abilities , passion did its thing and they procreated me . I commented persuasively to the woman , thinking intelligently that one more ally for this bloody war would be very convenient .

"Trust you ? , don't make me laugh . I haven't trusted anyone but myself for more than three centuries . why would I change that now ."

He said with a sneer on his lips .

"Because this time may be the only chance there is to be able to overthrow Araticus and his tyranny ."

The woman was silent as she looked at me carefully , I guessed she was thinking about my proposal .

"I will think about your offer carefully, but first I want to have a little fun".

The woman replied, and instantly a strong gust of wind knocked me down , as I felt a sharp blow to my head. Instantly my eyes rolled back in my head and I completely lost control of my body, while someone moved my body towards a boulder in the forest full of fallen trees.

The woman who pretended to be shy , she really was more powerful than me and maybe more powerful than any vampire , I don't know exactly what it was that hit me but it caught me off guard , although I can retain consciousness while being dragged through the forest I can't defend myself there is some sort of force field that prevents me from doing so .

"You can't defend yourself here , just like some vampires have mystical powers , wolves have them too and I have both powers which gives me the ability to subjugate you to my mercy for as long as I feel like it "

I could not answer anything , my muscles were tense from head to toe , as I was dragged by some sort of beast bigger than me and this woman rode it like a horse .

As I rolled down the boulder , the woman dismounted the creature that looked like a mixture of wolf and dragon , and took me by the shoulders . I watched the beast she rode as it flew away from the forest, spreading its dragon wings across the cloudy skies .

He then led me to his lair which was several miles away from the northern part of the forest .

" Let's see, what use can I have for a half vampire man who wants me to trust him " .

Murmured the woman as she tied me tightly to a kind of pine tree several meters high .

"How is it that a half-human vampire can be so naive when he sees a woman , I thought the opposite sex was only appealing to those who are one hundred percent human , but now I can realize that vampires have a weakness that I can take advantage of in a better way if I put my mind to it ."

The woman looked at me carefully , as she changed out of her coy girl clothes and put on an elegant tight dress .

"Where am I, why am I still unable to move my body . You're afraid I might hurt you even though you insist you're superior to any vampire ."

"You just saw one of my best roles in getting food, plus my pet dragged you halfway through the forest to here . Not to mention that you still don't have control of your body or your powers and yet you still doubt my abilities "

I commented wryly the woman , sitting down next to me .

"Who are you and what do you want , you already made it very clear to me that you don't want to be on my side ."
