Chapter 57: Sebastian

Adric’s POV

I was more annoyed than Amaya, we would be joining Calla and her new boyfriend for lunch. I wanted to spend the day with Maya and not go for some stupid lunch but Calla is my friend, I know it will hurt her feelings if I don’t go there and I have to stop Maya from killing her if she tries something. She invited Stephen too but Stephanie politely declined to go, I felt bad for her, Stephen was a gentleman for canceling on Calla.

“Why are we even going when we go stay and have heated sex.”

“Because she is my friend and she saved our asses from being killed,” I muttered against my breath.

Maya groaned in annoyance before walking out of the door with a frown on her face, I closed the door from behind holding her hand.

“Promise me you will be nice.”

“That depends.” She says and I nod.

If Calla is rude. I can’t stop Maya from defending herself she will just get mad at me but if it gets so serious then I will have to make sure we leave, I can’t be in the midst of women’s drama.

Stephen today will be keeping a watch on Grace Santiago, we still don’t trust her so we have to make sure she doesn’t lead to our deaths. I don’t need a war right now.

The strong scent of coffee filled my nostrils when we walked into the beautiful cafe Calla picked out. There were not many people there just the way I like it, Calla raised her hand and we came close to her.

“Adric, this is Sebastian.” She says introducing the man, I have seen him somewhere but I can’t seem to remember where.

Was he her guard, I wanted to ask but I knew it was not the appropriate time.

“I have heard so much about you.” He says and I nod.

“And that is Maya,” Calla says and she introduces herself, we take our site opposite them.

I hope this ends as quickly as possible.

Sebastian didn’t speak much, he only answered questions when his name was being called upon while Calla on the other hand didn’t seem to stop talking, if this is the man she says she is dating then something is wrong, maybe I am wrong but he is not in love with her.

I knew that much, he doesn’t even look like he wants to be here.

“How long are you staying here?.”

“As long as Maya wants.” I smile and she nods.

“I heard Maya is now part of the mafia,” Calla asks and I nod.

“Not officially yet but she will be. I’m waiting till we get married.”

“Married.” She asked she was confused.

“He proposed, we would be getting married soon.” Maya grinned as she showed her the ring, Calla didn’t look at all. I know her, I know she wanted to say something but she didn’t. She kept quiet which was good.

After lunch, Calla invited us for dinner at her home, she said she would be leaving Bora Bora tomorrow and she would like to spend the day with us. I didn’t want to say no so I nodded.

“Your friend is annoying,” Maya says and I laugh.

“She is but not all the time. She is just trying to figure out something.” I say. I hoped so, I hope that is the reason she has been acting unusual, she is probably trying to figure out something.

After we left, we went back home. Maya and I were about to have a shower when I got a call from Stephen.

“What do you mean?.” I ask.

“She has people in her room, some men in black. She closed the drapes and the camera is not working.”

She called him, I knew we shouldn’t have trusted her, and now they know about the camera. It won’t be long before we fit into the description and he will find out we were the ones that threatened his wife and kids.

“Call the pilot and get the plane ready.”

“We are leaving.”

“Not yet but we have to be careful, anything can happen and I want to make sure the plane is ready when that happens,” I say before hanging up.

I have to get there myself to speak to Grace again after they leave, I have to make sure our lives are not in danger.

“Are you coming?.” Maya asks.

“Yes,” I yelled before taking off my shorts.

I don’t want to tell her anything yet, I know she will just be worried and I won’t want that for her.

“Your mind is not here,” Maya says during the shower. She turns off the shower facing me.

All my eyes could look at were her wet boobs.

“My mind is here,” I whispered touching them.

“Now you are just trying to confuse me, you were not focusing.”

“Yes, I was.” I smile coming closer to her.

“What was I saying two minutes ago.”

Fuck, I wasn’t paying attention.

“How much do you want me to fuck you?.” I smile and she shakes her head.

“Tell me what is wrong?.”

“Maya.”

“Please, I always tell you when something is wrong with me. Please Adric.”

“After the shower, I promise,” I say and she nods.

My mind focuses back on her breast as I take one into my mouth, I can never get enough of her.

After our shower, we got dressed. We still have some hours before that dinner. It’s going to be the same as our lunch today, a series of awkward silence and Calla speaking to only me while Sebastian and Maya are focused on their food.

“Now what is wrong?.”

“You are not going to leave it aren’t you.”

“Not until you let me know.” She smiles.

“We found Santiago’s wife yesterday. We may have threatened her to tell us where he is, but today she has some men in her house. We think she told Santiago about yesterday.”

“Are we under attack?” Maya asks and I shake my head indicating a no.

We are not, not yet. If we try to run now they will us as cowards, I’m not leaving until I feel I can’t handle the situation anymore, I have to stay and find out their plans before we leave.

They already know where we are headed anyway and I know Santiago doesn’t work hastily, he likes to take his time when it comes to these things.

“You are doing it again,”

“I’m sorry, I will make sure we are both safe.”

“I know you will.” She smiles.

I had to speak with Stephen, I took Maya with me. Now that we are in a bit of a danger I can’t leave her alone even with the guards. I don’t trust anybody.

Maya and Stephanie were in the living room while Stephen and I were in the kitchen.

“What are our men saying?.”

“They said. The men left and she hasn’t opened her drapes since then.”

“It’s him, he is coming for us.”

“We don’t know that just yet, we have to calm down.”

“They are watching her, getting into her house will be next to impossible but it could work. I know a way we can go to her home.”

“What if there are cameras or microphones there? They will easily know we came.”

“We get in from the bedroom, Santiago won’t allow any cameras in his wife’s bedroom. Create a noise to get her to come in there.”

“Tonight.”

“I have dinner with Calla- We will have time for that we have things to take care of, cancel dinner,” Stephen says interrupting me.

He is right, we can have dinner anytime but this can’t wait, the longer we wait the more dangerous it’s going to get.

I pulled out my phone calling Calla to cancel dinner, she didn’t like it. I told her it’s work but she felt like the reason was Maya, Maya didn’t even care enough to ask me to cancel dinner.

“How about the girls?.” I ask. “They are not safe here.”

“They are, if we move them they will be suspicious, Maya can shoot so as Stephanie. They will be able to protect themselves before we get back and if they are watching us then we can’t leave using the front door.”

We had to find another path to leave the area, it’s a private area with no building nearby so it’s all many impossible for one to spy on us but the route to the city was one road, if we left the house they would know it’s us.

We decided to leave using the yacht, it wouldn’t take much time but we would follow a longer route, and we would be able to get to where we wanted.

I explained everything to Maya, she knew what to do when it was an emergency. We decided it would be best if they stayed in one room, staying in the living room they could be easy targets but if they are upstairs, they will be able to have time to prepare for the attack.

I just hoped I wasn’t making a bad decision leaving them here.
