Chapter 50

What is the loneliest day of my life? It might be today, watching my whole world fall apart and all I can do is just to stare blankly.

I couldn't stop sobbing while staring at the dark sky. How many more bodies will fall for me? how much more blood will flow? How many more lives will be sacrificed? How many goodbyes will I hear?

My chest hurts, it hurts, it hurts. I tried to fight, I tried to be strong but why does it always end up in death? Why does something always have to be lost? why does someone have to tax their lives?

Two princes lay lifeless before me. The blood is mixing in my body, my own blood and even the blood of the two princes who chose death just for me. I want to touch them, I want to hug them, I want to whisper to them gratitude and endless apologies.

"Why? Why? Why?!" I shouted. I couldn't move my body, I was weak.

no one can come near me, not even my brothers because they are all busy to protect not only me but the whole of Parsua which is in danger of being invaded by the four empires they chose to fight just to save me and Adam and I's love. Did they make the right decision? is it right to sacrifice the whole of Parsua just for the two of us?

Would there have been such a war if I hadn't begged my brother to want me to live? Would I have heard of the last massacres if I had just accepted what I had to suffer? instead of my life being lost, it was replaced by hundreds of innocent vampires' lives.

Beyond my incessant wailing was the endless noise of violence and death. clashing of swords, shaking of the earth, violent neighing of horses, firing of cannons, roaring of gigantic birds, fluttering of arrows, thunder and lightning and wailing of every creature after the sword was violently drawn from their bodies.

I once again felt a strong heating of my chest until I spewed my own blood again. Rosh's blood caught up with the poison earlier but I was stabbed again by another dagger with poison that is slowly killing my body. it was hard to keep my eyes open.

"Lily!" I listened to the voice of one of my brothers. When I tried to find its origin I saw Finn. He is currently fighting three powerful vampires.

"Fight Lily, don't ever close your eyes. Thank you, don't Lily. Don't, remember we're still here. We're still here, your brothers and sisters." It was a loud cry that almost squeezed the heart. What does he mean?

I really want to fight but my body is giving up, my heart is no longer fighting and I can no longer feel the presence of the man who is my only source of strength.

"Lily, don't leave us. Once is enough Lily, it's enough. Lily, listen to us." Caleb also shouted from a distance. Even Casper and Harper I can see fighting.

"Lily, please fight back. Please, you know we want to be close to you. We want to hug you, just hold on a little. Just hold on a little." Evan also shouted despite the opponents surrounding him.

I want to shake my head at what he said, we're not enough and if someone is lost from their positions the Parsua barrier will be easily penetrated and the four kingdoms that chose to abandon the policy just for me will be completely destroyed.

"You need to fight for us, fight for your life Lily. We will return whole, the seven of us will return to the palace." I cried even more because of what his majesty said. I know they can feel my heart beating slowly.

I fight but my body can't take it anymore. struggling as my eyelids dropped.

"Adam..."

"Adam..."

"Adam..."

I tried to call him but I still didn't hear an answer from him. I can't feel him anymore, my chest is getting tighter. I catch my breath. I feel even more weak now that I can no longer feel the man I love.

"Damn!" I listened to Caleb and Finn shouting at the same time. I tried to move my right hand as if I could reach my brother. Dastan's arm was bleeding and he couldn't move it.

"Fuck! Behind you Evan!"I thought that the vampire was going to ambush Evan from behind him when Harper and Casper appeared at the same time behind the vampire who was supposed to attack Evan and they cut off the vampire's head at the same time.

"Harper! Casper!" Caleb shouted. I saw the insistence of ma mahal and Caleb to come to help the twins but they were immediately blocked. The twins' bodies quickly flew towards the group of enemy soldiers. No!

Finn and Caleb tried to chase but they were quickly blocked by too many vampires. the other powerful vampires of Parsua couldn't help because they were all busy with every powerful vampire the council sent.

Our defenses have been exhausted and the only thing left is the barrier they have built that can be destroyed at any time.

No matter where you look, Parsua has no fight even if the number of strong vampires is many, even if four more kings help, we Gazellians, Le'Vamuievos, Viardellon and Thundilloir. We will never defeat the remaining four empires. there is no way we can win, why does it have to lead to this? Why?

I couldn't feel Adam anymore, my eyes searched for the place where I last saw him. He is no longer here, I can't even see Rosh's body anymore. many Viardellons have already fallen to the ground, even the Thundilloirs who are the leaders of Trafadore are also weakening, our soldiers are about to be exhausted even Lucas's groups are weakening.

The two princes rose from me as soldiers rushed to take their lifeless bodies. I could do nothing but let them be carried and my heart nearly broke when they were brought to the rows of corpses that came from the four kingdoms. the vampires in charge, strong warriors, chief warlords and even the generals of the soldiers.

My tears don't stop.

"Caleb! Evan!" I heard his majesty's loud cry and my entire being was almost shocked to see my brothers stabbed by two different councils at the same time.

"No!" Dastan ruthlessly killed the two vampires in front of him before rushing towards my fallen brothers.

I'm screaming because I'm so angry with myself, I'm crying because I'm in so much pain why can't I do anything? Why am I just staring at what's happening? little by little they are running out just because of me.

The Parsua has entered and I can hear footsteps coming towards me. Is that all there is to it?

"Lily!" screamed his majesty and some of my brothers who were both bleeding. many tried to approach and stop the approaching four councils holding swords bathed in the mixed blood of the Parsua vampires. They're going to kill me, they're going to kill me.

I closed my eyes, no one else could come to help me. no more, this is all we can do.

"We will never allow it!" I heard a familiar voice and when I tried to open my eyes. I saw the four appointed women then hinder the four councils.

all of a sudden the body of councilors who were supposed to kill me rushed out one by one by the previously appointed princes. The previously appointed women around me began to form a strong barrier. the four immediately knelt down to me and almost at the same time they cut themselves just to save my life.

"Fvck! He's full of poison!"

"Where's the wolf?" one of them asked me.

"They're coming." one of them tried to drip his own blood on my lips, even if I drank I couldn't handle it.

"Her body is not responding! We need the wolf."

"They're coming Dione!" I could feel their power in my body where I stuck.

"Damn, I can't wait anymore. we're late, we're damn late."

"Oh god!" I couldn't see anymore but I heard they put something aside for me. I cried again, I couldn't feel Adam's presence anymore because I was so weak.

"I saw another one taking life." I heard a man say. the four designated women gasped at the same time as I heard another body fall.

"The second prince of Deltora."

"I will treat him."

"Serena..."

"Don't misunderstand me, revive the wolf and the princess. I will not let the second prince of Deltora die. I killed him once, I killed him once when I didn't cross the mirror with the woman he was going to love."

"Serena! We're not strong anymore! We can't heal ourselves! You will kill yourself! we can only revive one, the wolf and this princess or the prince of Deltora."

"But Dione, I can't let this prince die. I won't let him die without seeing or even being with his goddess. I can't. franco, don't let Lorcan come near here." The predestined girls were already in trouble.

No one obeyed my wishes because they tried to grab my hand that was holding Adam until I completely let go. I felt that they were already treating me.

"Don't be selfish princess! Many people gave their lives just for you! Think of the sacrifice your brother the king made, think of the vampires falling now."

I feel numb, I don't know what to think at this time. Should I be happy because I am being treated while on the other side the man I love is here and is taking his life?

I heard a loud explosion that stopped the women I was helping to treat. What's going on?

"Fvck! The road splits." The ground continues to shake. What's happening?

"This is damn impossible, he can't get down without sacrifice. Who on earth is he getting energy from?" even the ordained women could not believe it. It was impossible for him to come down without sacrifice.

"Do you think everything will end in an endless war?!" it shouted again. The women continued to treat me while I listened to what the goddess was saying.

"It's just going to happen again and again! Why don't you just let those who love each other?! because you have your own beliefs? Because you know there are sins that will come back to life when they are both left alone?! Do you think that love between a wolf and a vampire is the reason why an empire is slowly disappearing?! Look at this total! everyone watch what you do! Can't you see that you are the ones who are erasing your own empire?!" shouted the goddess loudly. I could feel my strength coming back and my heart almost jumped when I felt Adam's heart return to the right beat.

"Wake up from your own madness!" it shouted again. The whole earth shook again and with its shaking, my strength completely returned.

At the same time as I completely got up, Adam approached me in the form of a wolf. I quickly rode behind him.

"I love you Lily, I love you so much." Instead of answering him, I hugged him tightly.

"Her presence saved me."

I finally saw the entirety of the war. the earth split open and in the middle of it floated the beautiful goddess with light all over her body, her beautiful hair flying in the wind. I thought we vampires were beautiful but the goddess I see is really overflowing with beauty. I just saw a real goddess.

On the other side of the earth are the councils who are our enemies, the wolves are their allies while there are only a few of us from Parsua. the only ones I see standing up are the four kings who are both stained with their own blood and the appointed princes.

"Is this the exchange of our love Adam?" I asked him. I noticed that my brothers were trying to build, some of the Le'Vamuievos, Viardellons and the Thundiliors. We all chose to line up on the side of the crack in the ground and bravely faced the councils even though the goddess intervened.

"We will never surrender Parsua! You will pass through all of our corpses before you touch our empire!" Seth shouted loudly, ignoring the presence of the goddess in the middle.

"Stop it!" cried the goddess again. I noticed that the councils were stunned because they are the ones who know best if the beautiful woman in front of us is a real goddess or not. I can also see that they are covered with great fear.

"Adam, she's not using my body. Who on earth is she getting her strength from?"

"Even my fellow wolves are asking this too. It's impossible for him to come down without sacrifice."

"Stop this war, don't let false beliefs blind you and lead to eternal death!" cried the goddess again.

"He is not to be believed! she's just a goddess of wolves! He doesn't care about us vampires! You don't have the right to outsmart us all!" shouted a vampire warrior on the other side.

The goddess was about to take care of him but almost all of us were stunned by the speed of the incident because we could see the violent bloodshed and the beheading of the warrior who spoke from the sword held by Dastan. His eyes were red while his fangs were out.

"Don't ever raise your voice my queen."

My hair stood up when I heard it. I just found myself slowly kneeling in front of my brother. All the wolves bowed and all the councils bowed. even all the powerful vampires in all of Parsua bow down to my brother.

My brother is mated to a real goddess. My brother will be the most powerful vampire of all. all the questions in my mind have been answered, Dastan is the source of the goddess' strength so she was able to get down to earth.

The goddess is mated to my beloved king, to my beloved brother. Until the end Dastan was able to stop everything, he and his goddess.

I was in tears staring at my brother, thank you very much dear king, brother. I hugged Adam tightly.

"It will all be over soon, soon. I love you so much Adam."

"I love you too Lily.." Adam howled at his fellow wolf in recognition of Dastan. I bowed my head again in respect to my king.

"I've been waiting for you, my queen"
