She immediately drove away angrily as she was boiling with anger. “How could this happen? How could my plan fail? I had planned this very well and I believe I had even boasted to Alex that this was going to work out and James would come begging me. But now my plan has failed. How come? Why would James quit this job? What is going on? Why is my plan failing? Why are they scattering my head?” Lily shouted and she kept on banging on the steering wheel not knowing what to do. 

Passersby looked at her as if she was a crazy maniac. They wondered why she was shouting that way, but she didn't even care. Only she knew what was happening to her right now. And she knew that her plan had failed. “Now I have to start coming up with another plan. A plan that might take days before I will be able to execute. What am I going to do now? Alex is going to turn me into a laughing stock.” 

“Alex had already told me that James was smarter than this plan that I had. I believed that this plan was going to work. That no matter how James was smart, he wouldn't be able to overcome the mapped-out plan. I had even practiced to Alex that only this plan would be enough to achieve our goals. Alex had warned about this earlier. But I didn't listen. How was I going to fix this? But there was nothing I could do about it. I have to call Alex. We had to come up with another plan. If I had known, I would have gone along with Alex's plan. But there was no time for regret now. Everything had happened, and it turned out this way. I have to think of another plan to make James come back to me.” 

She thought to herself as she kept on driving crazily. She knew that nobody would ever stop her for violating traffic rules. Because her dad was very rich and nobody cared to speak to her anyhow. She thought to herself as she kept on driving at a very high speed. 

She immediately drove to Alex's place. She parked the car. She pointed down from the car and stormed into Alex's house. 

Alex was shirtless as he wore oily pants. Immediately he realized that someone stormed into his house, he turned back in shock. 

“What the heck, Lily? Don't you know how to knock? Don't you even have common manners that you should knock before entering into a man's house?” he shouted at her as she just coughed. 

“Just drop the act already. You know that I won't even fall for you even if I saw you naked,” she said to him. “Besides, I'm too angry now for me to ring the doorbell before I get in. I clearly know that you would definitely be at home. That's why I didn't bother knocking,” she said. 

She slumped on the sofa trying to cool off a bit and also giving Alex a chance to go put something on. She thought to herself, “I should just land on the chair and palm my face.” She was deep in thought, thinking of other ways that she could use to separate James and Isabella and make James hers. 

As Alex came downstairs after five minutes wearing a shirt, he sat down on the chair. “A penny for your thoughts,” he said. 

She immediately removed her palm from her face. “Just stop it already, Alex. I'm trying to think now. Our plan has failed. What is going to happen right now, Alex? Just tell me,” she said as she stood up and started pacing back and forth. 

Meanwhile, immediately she said the plan had failed, Alex laughed out loud, laughing sarcastically. She was very frustrated hearing Alex laugh at her. She knew that this was going to happen. She knew that Alex was going to laugh at her, and she felt very frustrated and angry. 

“Just shut up already, you fool,” she said to Alex, but Alex did not even listen to her. He kept on laughing like a maniac. Clearly, his laughter was just to frustrate Lily more because he had already warned her that James was too smart and that plan was not going to work on James. 

But she didn't believe him. She thought she was all right and she knew James more than he did, so he didn't say anything. That was why he was purposely laughing at her so that she would feel the pain and next time listen to him. 

Then when it felt like he was satisfied and that he had angered Lily enough, he stopped laughing and looked at her as she was pacing back and forth. “Would you just stop pacing?” he said to her. “You are making my eyes spin.” 

Meanwhile, Lily stood right in front of him. “If you want me to stop pacing right now, you have to give me a mapped-out plan on how to separate James and Isabella and make James come back to me,” she shouted at Alex and then continued pacing. 

“I don't know. My head is just filled with a lot right now. I can't seem to understand how my plan failed. What had gone wrong? I mapped out everything and everything was well planned. I dished everything correctly. I don't know how James overcame all of this,” she said. 

“So Lily, why are you venting out your anger on me? It's not like I am the one that manipulated your plans. I didn't do anything. I gave you the chance to carry out your plan on your own. Since you think that you are the mastermind and you can plan alone. I told you I came to you because I wanted us to join hands together and do this. But no, you thought you were the mastermind and you wanted to do this on your own. So I left it to you. Now look at your failure.” 

“At least now you'll be able to join hands with me and let us plan something together. Something very huge. Something heavy that they will not be able to evade. They will not be able to escape it. Both of them, you will get James back and I will get my revenge on Isabella,” he said to Lily as she just stood there staring at him. 

“Okay, spit it out already. Give me your mapped-out plan. Since you are almighty and you are smarter than me, the mastermind. Yes, tell me what your plan is? Tell me what is this huge something you're talking about? Tell me what you want to do. Fulfill our desires and quench our thirsts. Tell me,” she shouted at Alex as Alex just sat back there staring at her. 

“I'll tell you when you calm down,” he said. 

“Just stop it already, Alex. Do you know what I'm going to do? Do you know the pressure I'm under right now? How dare you keep on stalling for time? Right now I need to hear about this big plan of yours. And mind you, Alex, don't you ever do anything that will hurt James. If you are mapping out a plan that is going to hurt Isabella, I don't care. You can hurt her all you want. You can even kill her. It's none of my business. All I just know right now is that James must not get hurt. Not even a hair on his head must be harmed,” she said. 

‘Soon Lily’, Alex said as he sat up a bit. “Now, would you calm down and let me tell you the plan?”
