Chapter 94 Don't Treat Me Like This
After Easton finished his tasks downstairs, he saw Cassidy sitting at the dining table, eating alone. There was only one plate of food on the table, clearly meant just for her.
This meant Cassidy had only prepared food for herself, not for Easton.
Hearing Easton coming down the stairs, Cassidy didn't look at him. She quietly continued eating her meal.
Even though he didn't have any food, Easton wasn't angry. He understood why Cassidy hadn't prepared anything for him.
But no matter what Cassidy did, he wasn't going to agree to her request to go out.
Easton pulled out the chair next to Cassidy and sat down beside her. Then, he forcefully pulled her chair closer, almost causing her to fall into his arms.
Cassidy steadied herself, her face showing her displeasure. She wanted to yell at Easton, but when she opened her mouth, she swallowed all the harsh words.
She didn't look at Easton, didn't speak to him, and even ignored his rough handling of her chair.
In short, whatever Easton wanted to do, she had no interest in engaging with him.
Cassidy's indifference annoyed Easton. He pulled her chair again until their chairs collided.
"Cassidy, ask for something else," Easton said, his tone soft, as if trying to persuade her. "Whatever you want, I can buy it for you."
"Necklace? Earrings? Or other jewelry? Maybe clothes? Bags? Shoes?"
"Just tell me, and I'll get it for you."
He didn't know why she wanted to go out, but if it was for shopping, he could easily buy her anything she wanted. There was no need for her to go out herself.
"I just want to go out," she finally spoke, her tone cold, not even bothering to look at him.
"Cassidy, anything but going out, I can agree to," he said.
How could he let her go out? She always had all sorts of ideas in her head. If she wanted to use the opportunity to escape, it wouldn't be too difficult for her.
She had already been caught once after trying to run away. If she got a second chance, could he find her again?
Maybe, but it would take more time, and he didn't want to go through the pain of losing Cassidy again.
So, even if Cassidy was unwilling, even if she rejected him, he wouldn't let her leave the villa.
Cassidy stopped eating. Easton's voice still echoed in her ears, but she had lost the desire to talk to him.
Easton was wealthy; he could satisfy any material need she had. But material things were the last thing she needed.
What good were beautiful items if she was trapped in this small villa, unable to even step outside?
Was she supposed to wear those beautiful jewels and clothes, standing alone in front of a mirror, admiring herself?
Easton kept asking what she needed, but Cassidy couldn't hear him anymore.
She suddenly stood up, the sound of the chair scraping the floor making Easton stop talking.
"Cassidy?" he called her name, but she walked away from the table as if she hadn't heard him.
"I need to rest," she said calmly, not showing any anger from having her request denied. But her calm tone made it uncomfortable to hear.
Cassidy went back to her room, locked the door, and sat in front of the mirror.
She thought that by cooperating last night, Easton would soften and agree to her request to go out.
So, even though she had gone to bed late, she woke up early, did her makeup, and picked out an outfit for going out.
If Easton agreed, she could wear the clothes she had prepared and enjoy a wonderful afternoon.
But fantasies are always beautiful. Easton didn't agree to her request and made it clear he wouldn't let her leave the villa.
After removing her makeup, Cassidy lay on the bed, using sleep to pass the boring days as usual. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and Easton's voice came through.
"Cassidy, did you lock the door? Open it."
Cassidy didn't get up. She found Easton's voice annoying and covered her ears with a pillow to block it out.
Easton knocked for a while, then used a key to open the door when he realized Cassidy wasn't going to open it.
He entered the room and saw Cassidy wrapped in a blanket, clearly not wanting to interact with him.
Easton sighed. "Cassidy, please don't treat me like this."
"You know I don't want to hurt you. That's why I can't let you go out."
Cassidy still didn't respond. To her, everything Easton said now was just lies to deceive her.
Until Easton agreed to let her go out, she wouldn't say a word to him.
She would completely ignore him, making him understand that he couldn't decide her preferences based on his own.
This went on for two days. During these two days, no matter what Easton said, Cassidy had treated him like he was invisible, not reacting to anything he said.
Occasionally, she wouldn't refuse his requests, but she never spoke to him.
Even at night, during their sex, Cassidy controlled herself, trying not to make any noise.
This made Easton feel like Cassidy was a lifeless puppet.
He wanted Cassidy to stay quietly by his side, but now that she was so quiet, he felt deeply uncomfortable.
To change the situation, Easton attended a charity auction.
He bought a beautiful set of jewelry, believing Cassidy would love it.
He also bought a painting that would look perfect in the master bedroom.
After the auction, Easton immediately went to see Cassidy with his purchases.
Cassidy was sitting on the balcony, bored, watching the clouds drift by.
Hearing Easton open the door, Cassidy closed her eyes in annoyance.
For the past two days, Easton had been bringing her various things, trying to improve their relationship.
But Cassidy only cared about going out, so she didn't care about Easton's gestures at all.
"Cassidy, look what I brought you," Easton said.
Cassidy wasn't interested, but she turned to him anyway.
Easton approached with a jewelry box. When he opened it, a stunning necklace and earrings were revealed.
The blue gemstones sparkled in the sunlight, crafted to look as dazzling as stars in the sky.
"Cassidy, do you like it?"
"Yes, I like it," she said, looking at the necklace and earrings. She was momentarily swayed by their beauty, but quickly regained her composure.
