Chapter 80 I'll Go Back with You
After what felt like forever, Easton finally stopped. Cassidy's voice had long since given out from all the crying and screaming.
Easton used a lot of tissues to clean Cassidy up, but the roughness of their encounter made it impossible to get her completely clean.
Her clothes were torn beyond repair, so Easton had to wrap her in his own clothes and forcefully take her away.
Cassidy resisted, struggling against him, but Easton, growing impatient, simply held her tighter and dragged her out.
They hadn't gone far from the restroom when Easton saw Owen.
Owen had been standing outside for a while, feeling uneasy. He decided to check on Cassidy again and caught sight of Easton carrying a wrapped-up Cassidy out of the restroom.
Easton didn't say a word to Owen, just continued walking towards the exit with Cassidy in his arms.
Cassidy kept struggling with all her might, even though she couldn't make a sound.
Seeing Cassidy's resistance, Owen couldn't stand by any longer and stepped in to block Easton's path. "Easton, Cassidy doesn't want to go with you. You can't force her like this."
Easton didn't want to waste any more time here. He just wanted to take Cassidy away, lock her up, and make sure she could never leave his side again.
He couldn't bear the thought of Cassidy escaping from him. If it happened again, he couldn't guarantee what he might do.
Even after their forced encounter in the restroom, Easton's anger hadn't subsided. Cassidy's refusal to leave with him only fueled his anger.
So when Owen blocked his way, Easton's expression turned dark and menacing. "Get lost."
Owen took a small step back, intimidated by Easton's tone, but he still stood his ground. "Easton, you should respect Cassidy. Treating her like this will only make her hate you more!"
Something in Owen's words seemed to trigger Easton, who let out a cold laugh. "Do you think I care?"
He never cared if Cassidy loved him or not, as long as she stayed by his side.
She didn't love Ashton either, but she still became his wife willingly.
Easton believed that eventually, she would accept his feelings and willingly be with him, maybe even have his child.
So his focus wasn't on winning Cassidy's love, but on keeping her with him.
Owen hadn't realized how twisted Easton's feelings for Cassidy had become. He knew that if Cassidy didn't get away from Easton today, she might never have another chance.
Owen remembered how happy and free Cassidy had been when she decided to open a bar in the small town. He couldn't let her lose everything she had worked so hard to achieve because of his mistake.
Cassidy was still struggling, hoping that Owen's presence would distract Easton enough for her to escape.
But Easton held her tightly, giving her no chance to break free.
Maybe her constant struggling annoyed Easton, he leaned down and whispered a threat in her ear, "If you keep moving, I'll strip you right here!"
Cassidy immediately stopped moving.
Easton wasn't joking. He was dead serious.
If she kept struggling, he would strip her right there, and maybe even force her into another sex.
Her clothes were already torn. If Easton took away the clothes wrapping her now, she couldn't imagine the looks she would get from people.
Cassidy didn't dare move again. Owen couldn't hear what Easton had said, but he could guess that it was a threat.
"Easton, you don't really love Cassidy. Why can't you just let her go?"
Owen couldn't understand Easton's possessiveness. To him, if Easton truly loved Cassidy, he should respect her and let her live the life she wanted. Not forcefully invade her space and destroy everything she had built.
Loving someone shouldn't mean hurting them.
If he were Easton, he would respect Cassidy's wishes, give her freedom, and let her live her life the way she wanted.
He could see that Cassidy didn't like the life with the Cooper family, even though it was a privileged one.
And he believed Easton could see it too.
So why was Easton forcing Cassidy to accept a life she didn't want?
"Owen, Cassidy is my woman. She can't go anywhere but by my side!" Easton yelled, his eyes bloodshot.
He could give her anything she wanted.
And his demands were simple. He just needed Cassidy to stay with him, marry him, and have his children.
Such a simple request, and Cassidy couldn't fulfill it. So why should Easton fulfill her requests?
Owen knew he couldn't convince Easton. The only way now was to take Cassidy from him by force.
So Owen reached out to grab Cassidy's hand.
But before he could even touch her, Easton knocked his hand away. "Owen, this is between Cassidy and me. You'd better stay out of it, or I promise you'll regret it."
He forcibly tied himself and Cassidy together, pushing Owen out. Owen's expression changed.
Cassidy had come to this town to escape Easton, and Easton had come to the bar to find her.
It did seem like it was their business, and he had no right to interfere.
But he couldn't stand by and watch Cassidy be taken away by force.
If he could knock Easton down, could he take Cassidy away?
With that thought, Owen swung at Easton.
But he was too slow. Before his fist could reach Easton, a bodyguard pulled him away.
Easton sneered and kicked Owen in the stomach without mercy, his eyes never losing their contempt for Owen.
Owen cried out in pain and doubled over.
Easton didn't intend to stop. As the bodyguard held Owen steady, Easton aimed another kick at his stomach.
Cassidy couldn't see what was happening, but she could tell from the sounds.
She knew Easton was attacking Owen. Owen was no match for Easton, and if Easton kept going, Owen could be seriously hurt.
She quickly grabbed Easton. "Easton, stop!"
Her voice trembled, but she tried to sound calm. "This is between us. I'll go back with you. Just leave Owen out of it; he's innocent."
