Chapter 59 No One Believes Her

"Alina, it was Kevin who tried to force himself on me! He only started acting when he saw you coming!"

Cassidy glared at Kevin with fury, wishing she could break his legs right then and there.

"Stop lying to me!" Alina didn't believe her at all. After all, she and Cassidy never got along, and Cassidy was just trying to drive a wedge between her and Kevin.

"I saw it clearly myself. It was your hand on Kevin's shoulder. If you weren't trying to seduce him, why would you do that?"

"If I hadn't come over in time, would you even have stripped naked to seduce him?"

"No!" Cassidy immediately retorted.

"I put my hand on his shoulder because he was forcibly hugging me. I was just trying to push him away!"

"He only let go of me when he saw you coming, just to put on a show!"

Alina completely ignored her explanation. "Cassidy, you're just a slut!"

"I'm telling you, if you want to seduce Kevin, you've picked the wrong man!"

"He only has eyes for me. He would never be interested in a widow like you!"

"Having a sister like you is such a disgrace!"

Alina pointed at Cassidy and yelled insults at her. She realized that Alina wouldn't listen to a word she said.

Alina only believed Kevin and insisted that he was deeply in love with her.

So no matter what Cassidy said, in her eyes, it was just lies Cassidy made up to slander Kevin.

Alina's shouting was so loud that Gabeiel and Aubree were attracted and came running over.

They were shocked to hear Alina insulting Cassidy and quickly asked what had happened.

Cassidy tried to explain, but her words were drowned out by Alina's anger.

"Kevin came out for some fresh air, and Cassidy tried to seduce him!"

"If I hadn't come out and seen it, she might have already stripped naked!"

"She even slandered Kevin, saying he tried to force himself on her!"

After hearing Alina's words, Gabeiel and Aubree looked at Cassidy with anger.

They stood by Alina's side, believing every word she said without hesitation.

"Cassidy, how could you do that? Apologize to Alina and Kevin immediately!"

Gabeiel looked at Cassidy with displeasure. He couldn't believe his daughter would do something so shameless.

"I didn't! Why should I apologize?"

"It was me out here getting some fresh air, and Kevin suddenly came over to talk to me, even insulting and trying to force himself on me. I'm the victim here!"

"And now you want me to apologize to him?" Cassidy looked at Gabeiel in shock. She knew he didn't care about her, but she didn't expect him to blame her just based on Alina's words.

Did Alina's words automatically mean the truth?

Did everything she said have to be a lie?

"I think this must be a misunderstanding. Cassidy wouldn't do something like that."

Cassidy looked at Aubree, not believing she said that because she trusted her explanation.

Sure enough, the next second, Aubree say, "Cassidy, just apologize, and this will be over."

Cassidy bitterly smiled. "So none of you believe me, right?"

They all stood opposite her, making her feel so out of place.

Maybe, as she thought, they were the real family, and she was just an outsider who barged in.

Aubree tried to persuade her again. "Cassidy, just apologize."

Gabeiel snorted coldly. "Cassidy, if you don't apologize, then don't come back! I don't have such a shameless daughter like you."

Cassidy would never have any expectations of Gabeiel again.

She wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and then looked up, becoming the proud Cassidy once more.

Seeing Alina standing beside with a smug look, Cassidy didn't hesitate to slap her.

She was so fast that they couldn't stop her in time.

She hit hard, and the slap was loud. Alina screamed in pain and fell to the ground uncontrollably.

No one expected things to escalate like this. Before they could react, Cassidy called the bodyguards to hold Kevin.

She walked up to him, her expressionless face making Kevin feel scared. "Cassidy, we can talk this over."

"No need." She raised her hand and slapped him on both cheeks, leaving red marks on his face.

Gabeiel finally reacted and yelled angrily, "Cassidy, what are you doing!"

Alina was crying from the pain, and Aubree quickly helped her up, heartbroken at the sight of the red mark on her face. "Cassidy, how could you slap your sister?"

Cassidy looked at them coldly, mocking herself for ever having expectations of them.

She had always known what kind of people they were, so why did she keep thinking they loved her too?

"Why can't I?"

She turned to Kevin again, which made him even more scared..

"Cassidy, please don't."

He wanted to back away, but the bodyguards held him tightly, preventing him from moving.

Cassidy suddenly smiled, a very gentle smile that made all worries disappear.

But Kevin only felt more afraid seeing it.

Cassidy lifted her right leg and kicked him hard in the groin.

Kevin screamed in pain, wanting to bend over and cover his crotch, but still, he was in the control of the bodyguards.

Cassidy's actions shocked everyone behind her.

"Cassidy!" Alina screamed and rushed at her, but the bodyguards stopped her just before she reached Cassidy.

Cassidy glanced at them, said nothing, and left the Monroe Villa with the bodyguards.

Back at the Cooper Manor, lying on her bed, she closed her eyes in exhaustion.

Before returning, she had thought about how to communicate with Gabeiel, but she didn't expect him to not even give her a chance to speak.

But everything that happened at the Monroe Villa today made Cassidy realize that taking back her mother's belongings wouldn't be easy.

Because Gabeiel never intended to give her those things. He just wanted to use them to get everything he wanted from her.

Thinking back on the night's events, she felt sad. Her father never believed her.

Cassidy sighed. Only when she was alone did she allow herself to show her vulnerability.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, startling Cassidy. She quickly hid her sadness.

"Who is it?" she asked.

"Cassidy, it's me," Easton's voice came from outside the door.
